Another perfectly wonderful stay at the Sala Samui Choengmon Beach Hotel. This was already our fifth visit, and from the moment we arrived, we felt right at home again. Our anticipation was fulfilled in every way. The excellent service and the warmth of the staff once more put the crown on our holiday. The entire resort is a small oasis of relaxation – very well maintained, peaceful, stylish, and perfect for completely unwinding. A special compliment goes to the staff, who greet us every day with kindness and a heartfelt smile, making each morning start with joy. The beach bar crew – Looktan, Kran, Pui, and Beam – do an outstanding job and serve top‑quality drinks. Pui’s “Greenland” is truly exceptional. As always, Noom made sure we could enjoy our days at the beach to the fullest, attentively providing us with every refreshing drink we could wish for. And the “new” team member – the well‑known Banja, who has transitioned to the beach boy team – is a real asset for the guests. We were also delighted to meet a new, cheerful face: Ellie from the breakfast service. Her positive energy is contagious and a wonderful addition to Oom’s team. We may have arrived as guests, but we left as friends – and we are already looking forward to our next encounter with this fantastic team at the 5‑star Sala Samui.

Beautiful hotel in Koh Samui, we were absolutely delighted. The property is stunning and very well maintained, everything feels high quality and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. Cleanliness is at an high standard. The service is outstanding across all areas, always friendly, attentive and highly professional. Big big thanks to the whole team. The hotel app is especially convenient, communication is fast, reliable and very easy. The breakfast is delicious and varied, and we also really enjoyed the dinners. There is a wide range of activities, so there is something for everyone. The beach is beautiful, and there are great restaurants nearby for the evening. A special thank you to Timo Kuenzli for the support and the very generous goodwill gesture regarding a medical issue. We felt comfortable at all times and would come back anytime. Absolute recommendation. We would give 10 stars if we could :)

This is by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The service and the entire team are exceptionally friendly and welcoming — from the very first moment, you truly feel comfortable and well taken care of. The rooms with private pools make the stay even more relaxing and special. The design of the rooms is beautiful, stylish, and very thoughtfully done. We also rarely experienced food this good in a hotel — every meal was outstanding. The private beach is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and perfectly located. In general, the service throughout the resort is of the highest quality, and the hotel also offers a wide range of activities and programs. The location is perfect if you want to relax and unwind. Even though we do not have children ourselves, we noticed several times how incredibly kind and caring the staff — and people in Thailand in general — are with children. We stayed here for our honeymoon and will definitely come back again in the future. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this hotel! The food is fantastic – diverse, fresh, and of the highest quality. The service is truly outstanding: everyone is incredibly friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Our villa was very spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean – a true place to relax and feel comfortable. The beach is stunning and well maintained, and we especially appreciated that the beach activities were complimentary. Another highlight was the spa – the massage was absolutely amazing and deeply relaxing. The hotel manager was also very attentive and accommodating, which made our stay even more special. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

4th stay at Sala Samui, and unfortunately it will be the last. The front desk team was helpful throughout, assisting with table bookings and even tracking down lost medication. Noom and Sod delivered excellent service at the beach and pool, always attentive and genuinely caring. Room service was equally good and the room itself was kept in great condition throughout. One design issue worth mentioning: the bathroom and toilet are located outside, which is far from ideal in the Thai heat. But overall this stay was a real disappointment. As a young couple without children, we consistently felt like an afterthought. At breakfast, four staff members stood nearby while I waved for attention and was completely ignored. Families always seemed to have priority, everywhere. The adult pool rule was never enforced. Toddlers and teenagers used it freely the entire stay while staff did nothing, which defeats the purpose entirely. The Songkran buffet was another letdown. We had reserved an indoor table and were seated outside with no fan in unbearable heat. Food was decent but the price was hard to justify given the service. To put things in perspective: we had dinner at the neighboring hotel one evening and the difference in hospitality was night and day. The hotel we stayed at afterward even gave us an upgrade without asking. Something that never happened in four stays here. Worth mentioning: our very first stay goes back to 2015, when we booked the 1BR Duplex Pool Villa Suite. That visit is still not in the system despite us flagging it to the front desk on every single arrival since then. A small detail, but it says something about how returning guests are treated. For a loyal returning guest at this price point, you expect more than a welcome note on the bed and a glass of Prosecco. After experiencing other properties before and after this stay, Sala Samui still has a long way to go on service. Not worth the money anymore
