Captivating tropical scenery and total relaxation is guaranteed for guests at the bliss Fihalhohi Island Resort, in the Maldives. I went for my honeymoon, so I was happy to pay a little bit more. The service was 2nd to none. We were picked up from the airport with no issues, the waiter knew my husband had a beer at lunch and dinner and it was always waiting for him. We went during his birthday and they made him a lovely cake. We were also dropped off at the airport. I wasn't expecting a wake up call and breakfast to be provide at 5am.

I stayed at Fihalhohi for a week, from September 25 to October 2, 2026, travelling solo on an all-inclusive plan. The house reef was the reason I chose this island, and it did not disappoint: I swam among colorful fish and reef sharks right from the beach. The island is also full of life — geckos, crabs, lizards and flying foxes. The weather was changeable: sunshine alternated with clouds, and it rained a couple of times. The staff were polite and attentive, and the resort stayed calm and quiet. The only downside was mosquitoes, but the resort doctor helped quickly with an ointment, and I felt fine the next day. This is a holiday for those who love peace and snorkeling, but not for active people — there is little entertainment on the island.

Wonderful rest, location, food, beach, sea. Everything is fine! I gave one star for the service due to the fact that when I arrived on the island with my child and heavy hand luggage after a long journey, they went to my room to escort me to the long way, and did not show me the short way. The Yooh administrator went to see off several tourists, I was the last one, but the only one with a child and a heavy bag in my hand, as a result, my room turned out to be very far away and then other tourists showed me a shortcut. The administrator could well have shown me the shortcut, but he didn’t. It was very difficult and unpleasant for me.

Found Maldives to be pricey. Loved my time there. Done the discovery dive (like an intro dive) as not a qualified diver. Was fantastic and under for nearly 60 mins. Go to a depth of 10 metres only.

We booked a premium day-trip package at this resort, paying rates that exceed standard in-house room rates. However, we experienced significant differential treatment throughout our visit. Despite the resort operating at approximately 70% occupancy, day guests were segregated to inferior facilities—remote loungers without nearby amenities and a separate dining area. Staff claimed tables were occupied when clearly available. The service was notably poor compared to our previous experiences at multiple Maldives resorts. While the location and setting are genuinely beautiful, the resort’s approach to day visitors—charging premium rates while treating guests as second-class—is fundamentally inconsistent. Not recommended for day-trip packages.
