We stayed at Garcia Resort & Spa with our two children and had such a great experience that I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. A special mention goes to the hotel advisor, who was incredibly helpful, honest and gave us great advice throughout our stay. The hotel itself was spotless. There are six pools, including one with water slides, which our son spent hours on every single day. There was always something happening, with music, entertainment and a fantastic foam pool party that the whole family enjoyed. The food was fresh every day, and we liked that certain dishes changed regularly, so there was always something different to try. Our daughter absolutely loved the spaghetti Bolognese and looked forward to having it, while my wife really enjoyed the steamed fish. There was plenty of choice for both adults and children. Our room was spacious, with large comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning, which made a huge difference in the turkish heat. My wife also appreciated having access to the 24-hour bar, which was a great bonus after a busy day with the kids. Overall, everything we needed was provided, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and the staff genuinely made us feel welcome. We were so impressed that if we return to Turkey in the future, Garcia Resort will be at the top of our list. We'd happily stay here again.

Great pool bar, but mind the structural defects and the extra protein in the salad! A real mixed bag for our couples trip. The highlight was definitely our room location being at the end of the row gave us great direct access to the pool and the main terrace. The pool bar itself is fantastic, serving up brilliant alfresco snacks, burgers, and pasta. The rest of the resort, however, requires a fairly extensive maintenance overhaul. The general areas are looking incredibly tired: missing door frames, falling stair nosings, holes in the ceiling, and flaking paint everywhere. Our room door had clearly been forced open in a previous life (smashing the wardrobe glass and mirror along the way), leaving us with no lock keeper. The engineer fixed it, but then the key card reader died (mystery of the kicked-in door solved! 🫣). We had to use a physical key on the terrace doors for the whole trip. Housekeeping also pulled a disappearing act, using the broken lock as an excuse, so we had to stockpile our own toilet paper and towels to survive the week. Food in the main buffet is your standard all-inclusive setup, but beware of unexpected bones in the chicken. Also, give your salad a thorough inspection I accidentally ate half a family of unwanted critters before noticing them wandering around my plate! With some serious TLC, a hammer, and a salad washer, this could be a 4-star. For now, it lands at a 3.

We have just arrived home from a week at this hotel. We are a family of 4, youngest 19, eldest 85. There was something for all of us from the food, drink, entertainment and the pools. We were given fresh towels and water for our room daily. No que for a sunbed , always able to get one for each of us and because my husband (not the 85 year old struggled they made sure he had a chair. Didn’t have to wait long at the bar for a drink. Food was lovely especially the à la carte , pasta was my favourite. The 2 sisters at the entertainment always on hand to get you all involved. I especially loved joining in the Turkish dancing. We also had a Turkish bath and massage, hubby had 2 medical massages, amazing team. General manager is always on hand and very polite and helpful We had a lovely room overlooking the pool , bar and entertainment. Ideal as we could also watch it from our balcony. We would definitely be back. There are a few ageing parts of the hotel but this did not infringe on our experience at the hotel. Lovely location and peaceful

When we first arrived, we did think oh no! Looked a bit tired in places and when we were taken to our room we complained the floor was so loose and broken and a trip hazard They happily showed us another room, which was fine. Large bed, and comfy. Air good and quiet. Food is great, Buffett, lots of choice, lovely salads. Pastry chef deserves a shout out, spoiled for choice. Pools are spotless and plenty of choice, life guard on duty and another on the large slide. The spa is fabulous and amazing value for money, we popped in and met Mehmet, ( he is great) who showed us around the spa and suggested a pre sun and after sun massage, which is to follow. We have had the pre sun so far AMAZING, Turkish steam room, sauna, exfoliating session washing down in loads of bubbles, ( they even washed my hair!)the two ladies were so kind to us, my husband had a bad leg, they were so careful Then we went through for a full body massage, which was great and then taken to a relaxing area, had a foot massage and a facial. We were there nearly three hours. We have our last massage next Tuesday and cannot wait. Make sure you give the spa ago! It cost us £200 for the four massages we will have had, and the hours spent on us makes it seem great value. Overall we have enjoyed the holiday, the staff are 5* and working hard to overcome some of the shortfalls of the building, but you can see they are working on the key areas, spa, restaurant, pool areas etc are great. Good luck to all the hardworking team.

Firstly, don't be out off by all the terrible reviews. I will say that this hotel does need some improvement but overall it is a lovely hotel, and for the price we paid (under £1,300 for 4 including flights, all inclusive) we are confident we got great value for money. Don't be scared about going, it really is a lovely place- and the improvements mentioned are easily done. Pros - •Pool bar and the lounge bar serve wonderful cocktails (and anything else you could want). Pool snacks were delicious (but only sit down and for 2 hours a day so gets very busy - in the same 2 hours you can have a ice-cream) •size of the rooms and balcony is brilliant (we had a family room with king bed and 2 singles) and the decor is modern. •The buffet food for all meals is genuinely delicious. I discovered love for foods I would never have tried before. The cakes are the best I've eaten at a Turkish buffet. All very well made and maintained, chef and staff kept the area clean and tidy. •Plenty of choice for pools, enough sunbeds and umbrellas. (Unfortunately very little shade so you must rely on the umbrella) •If you're a cat person then you will be pleased to see 4-5 'resident' stray cats around the property. •Ibraham (guest relations) is very friendly and is willing to help with anything you need, as well as booking excursions for a very good price. (Do not book with the rep in the lobby, he will try to get you to pay 4 times as much as the hotel!) •location has the most spectacular views and sunsets. Very peaceful. The pool music is great and they also have relaxing music at mealtimes. •We didn't get a chance to go to the spa (kids!) but it smelt divine as we walked past. Cons- •the hotel and grounds is huge, and I feel they struggle to maintain the appearance and finish. The hotel has alot of marble which is probably expensive to replace but unfortunately there is many broken marble (especially the main stairs to the pool). Lifts not working, broken mirrors, wobbly stair rails etc. seems repairs are not priority. However, we are observant and avoided these hazards. • There is a smell in the air around the drains (when in the bathroom) and around the pool, which isn't awful but occasionally noticeable. The pool is clean to go in and the ground is clean but I don't think they clean the overflow grates as one was broken and it was full of sludge! • Entertainment is ok... Kids mini disco and then a surprise show (there is no 'what's on' programme). The few shows we caught were decent but because it's shown on the pool area there isn't a stage and it's very difficult to see, even when standing in chairs. • the location - great if staying on grounds like we did but you will have to taxi or shuttle to anywhere else. •the hotel shop is handy to have but extremely overpriced for some items (bottle of after sun cost £20!) •The housekeeping team needs a little help. They are lovely ladies but really do the bare minimum of cleaning in the rooms. We only got 2 towels for the 4 of us, no refill loo roll unless we asked, the bathroom doesn't get wiped down (there was still hairs and water left behind after they came) and they don't hoover or sweep. However we were happy enough with it, it wasn't filthy but noticeable they don't do it. •We found the king bed very lumpy and hard. The kids single bed were beautifully soft!
