I don’t usually leave reviews, but this hotel truly left a lasting impression on me and it absolutely deserves one. The service was of the highest level, it was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The room was spacious and spotless, the pool was beautiful and relaxing, the breakfast was wonderful, and the location is simply stunning, set on a breathtaking, peaceful beach. This is honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, not only in Thailand but anywhere in the world. It gave me that movie-like vacation experience you always dream about. It’s important to mention that this hotel is perfect for people who are looking to truly relax. It’s a short drive (just a few minutes to about 15 minutes) from the main central areas, but for me that was actually a huge advantage. I loved its sense of seclusion, the ability to go out to the lively spots whenever I wanted and then return to my own quiet paradise. Highly recommended.

We stayed here with our son and daughter in law for 10 days. Our stay at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. The entire team was incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive throughout our stay — nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and every interaction came with a sincere smile. A special thank you to Kookik at breakfast, who remembered our names each morning. That personal touch truly made us feel valued and set such a lovely tone for the day. It’s these thoughtful details that make this hotel stand out. The food at FishTales was an absolute highlight. Every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of fresh flavours. Dining there became something we looked forward to each day. We also have to give special mention to the wonderful staff around the pool. They went above and beyond to keep everyone comfortable — ensuring we were constantly hydrated, offering refreshing cold towels, and surprising us with little treats throughout the day. Their attentiveness really elevated the whole experience and made lounging by the pool feel effortlessly luxurious. Overall, Garrya Tongsai Bay delivers not only a stunning setting but truly outstanding service. We would highly recommend it and can’t wait to return! Just stayed 8 nights at this hotel with my partner and we cannot fault a single thing. The property is set in lush, private grounds which are very calming and the property itself is lovely. The room was spotless and very well appointed. The main building was great and the breakfast was excellent with everyone catered for. The pool was warm as was the sea and the beach was great. The best bit though were the staff. Every single staff member was so welcoming and helpful and really cared about your day. The staff really make the place extra special. It is a fabulous hotel and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Go and relax.

My husband and I spent four nights at Garrya Tongsai Bay after starting our Thailand holiday in Bangkok. We were welcomed with private transportation at the Koh Samui airport, complete with water and cold towels. The check-in process was relaxing and took place on a terrace overlooking the ocean. We stayed in a seaview hillside pool suite. While not as large as some of the villas, it was extremely spacious and included a private pool with two lounge chairs. All the accommodations seem lovingly maintained and were clearly well-built to begin with. We've stayed in Four Seasons properties as well as The Standard Hua Hin (right after it was built) and this was our favorite. The resort isn't super large, so the employees and our fellow guests quickly started to look familiar. We loved the friendly, intimate atmosphere, but if you want to blend in on a larger resort or prize anonymity, this one isn't for you. We also liked how eco-friendly it was, things like delivering meal leftovers in real dishes rather than wasteful disposable packaging and daily educational nature walks stood out to us. The service and dining punch well above their weight and are a large part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. Fish Tales offers nightly dinner, pool bar food service, and lunch. EVOL has healthier options, including multiple items for vegans. Rhoy Rhoy is a slightly more formal dinner option and is the site of the bountiful breakfast buffet each morning. The cocktail list available by the pool or via room service is excellent. We drank our way through most of it and nothing was a disappointment. I also want to give a special shout out to the lovely woman making fresh juices at breakfast each day. She is a real gem and we enjoyed seeing her! Overall as we prepare to leave, we feel sad to go but grateful for our memorable and relaxing stay. Next time we're in Koh Samui we will strongly consider returning. There are many outstanding resorts on the island, but this one blends service, approachable luxury, and care for the environment in a really lovely way. Thank you to the entire team!

My husband and I spent five wonderful nights over the Christmas holidays at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui, and it exceeded every expectation. This was truly a first-class, five-star White Lotus–style experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived to the day of departure, the staff consistently went above and beyond. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel welcomed and completely looked after throughout our stay. We stayed in the One Bedroom Sea View Villa with a private pool and were absolutely blown away. The villa was immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and stocked with all the essentials—restocked daily. Evening turndown service with thoughtful little treats was a lovely touch. The outdoor space was exceptional, with daybeds, loungers, a hammock, dining table, plunge pool, and that breathtaking view. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and truly unwind over the holidays. The food was outstanding, from the daily breakfasts to the Christmas Eve BBQ beach dinner and everything in between. Every meal was fresh, well executed, and memorable. We would highly recommend Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui to anyone visiting Koh Samui and would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
