This resort was overall a let down and has been my least favorite Hilton experience thus far. Hospitality was non-existent. The lady working in the cafe had such a bad attitude, I was forced to walk out since it felt like me spending my money was a nuisance to her. I informed the manager of the situation but no effort was made to turn around my experience. The guys that worked by the pool and beach were the only once who treated us like normal human beings. Rooms are outdated and toiletries not refilled; we had empty shampoo and lotion bottles for our entire duration of 5 nights even though our room was getting cleaned daily. There is access to beach but with the rock barricades, waves are always crashing, making it not very suitable for swimming. Beach also is not very well maintained with sea weed piling up on the beach. We mostly ended up renting beach chairs at Savvy on the Bay rather than spending time at this beach. My friend got room service (fish tacos) and thought they were inedible. Only thing I liked about our stay was the balcony view. Long story short, definitely not a 4-star resort and your money is better spent staying down the road by pebble beach or Savvy on the Bay.

Overall, our stay was amazing. Every team member we interacted with went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Suzette (Food & Beverage) – Suzette took great care of us throughout our stay. She was attentive, personable, and always kept us laughing. Her service was outstanding. Robert (Food & Beverage) – Robert wasn’t even assigned to our table, but his personality gravitated toward us. He was incredibly funny, engaging, and made every interaction enjoyable. Regina (Food & Beverage) – Regina provided excellent service and helped make our dining experiences memorable. Antonia (Food & Beverage) – Antonia took care of us for most of our trip, and she was absolutely amazing. We loved how personable she was and how she made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. Alika (Breakfast Team) – During the mornings we had breakfast, Alika took exceptional care of us. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured we always had everything we needed. Valencia (Front Desk) – Valencia was wonderful. She consistently greeted us with a smile and always made sure we were happy and enjoying our stay. Tennisha (Front Desk) – Tennisha checked us into the hotel and immediately made us feel welcome. She introduced us to the signature rum punch, and after traveling, we happily settled into our room and bed. Samara (Front Desk) – Samara spent extra time with us sharing information about Barbados and the local culture. She showed us the unique feature of the Barbados currency, where putting the bills together creates an image of the island. She was incredibly personable and made our experience even more meaningful. Makhaya and Shaquon (Bellmen) – These two were fantastic. They always had great recommendations, made sure transportation was arranged on time, and kept us entertained with their humor and positive attitudes. Jackie (Banquet Manager) – Although we had no banquet-related needs, Jackie took the time to stop and ask about our stay while I was heading back from the spa. As someone who also works in the hotel industry, I appreciated the opportunity to speak with her about the hotel operation. Through that conversation, I was also introduced to the Food & Beverage Director and the Acting General Manager, both of whom were wonderful. Every one of these team members played a part in making our stay memorable. Their hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care for guests are a true reflection of the hotel’s culture. Thank you all for an incredible experience. If you’re writing a guest recognition review or message for management, here’s a polished version:

We recently stayed at the Hilton Barbados and overall had a great time, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Our ocean‑view room with two queen beds was comfortable and had a beautiful view, but the bathroom felt outdated and could really benefit from a renovation. The location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s perfectly situated near Pebbles Beach and just a short taxi ride to St. Lawrence Gap, which made it easy to explore and try different restaurants. Service, however, was inconsistent. Some staff members were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, while others seemed bothered or uninterested, which made the experience feel uneven. Food and dining were the biggest challenges. Wait times were often long ordering a simple pizza by the pool and waiting 30 minutes or more wasn’t ideal, especially with small children. The buffet also ran out of basic items like plain bagels fairly quickly, which was surprising. Additionally, the on‑property dining options felt expensive for fairly standard American‑style food. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our stay and loved the overall atmosphere and location. With some updates to the rooms and improvements in service and dining efficiency, this hotel could easily offer a much better experience.

We stayed at the Hilton to have fast access to the Dive shop on property. It was a very nice stay. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, and views spectacular! Great sunsets right from the beach. The service at the resort is friendly (William and Dominique from the Grille and Rum Stop were stand outs!) The restaurants were also very good. We usually do Sandals or other all inclusive and this food is definitely better. We were here in May and it was pretty quiet. It was a bit windy, but you do become accustomed to it and it keeps you cool. The SCUBA diving was amazing. Saw about 6 turtles in one dive, saw eagle rays and seahorses. Maya at the dive shop was the best! Would definitely recommend and return! Tip your room cleaning folks!

I left the Hilton Barbados feeling extremely disappointed. For a hotel that markets itself as a premium Hilton property, it falls well short of expectations. The first thing that struck us was how dated the hotel feels. The décor throughout is tired and in need of significant refurbishment, and our room was much smaller than we expected for a resort of this standard. It simply didn't deliver the level of comfort or quality you would expect from an internationally recognised brand. Breakfast was another major let-down. The selection was surprisingly limited, repetitive and lacked the variety normally associated with a hotel in this price bracket. It felt more like a budget hotel breakfast than one worthy of a beachfront Hilton. The pool areas also require urgent attention. Parts of the pool surface are lifting and appear poorly maintained, which detracts from the overall experience. Even more frustrating is the design of the pool surrounds. The paving becomes so hot in the Caribbean sun that it literally burns the soles of your feet, making it uncomfortable to walk between the pool and loungers without rushing or wearing footwear. This seems like a fundamental design flaw for a resort where guests spend much of their day around the pool. Perhaps the biggest disappointment, however, was the misleading presentation of the "Kids Stay Free" offer. While the headline suggests excellent value for families, what is far less obvious is that children's breakfast is not included. This important exclusion is buried behind several click-through screens during the booking process rather than being made clear upfront. By the time this becomes apparent, many families will understandably have assumed breakfast was included. It felt unnecessarily opaque and left us feeling misled. The hotel undoubtedly benefits from a fantastic beachfront location and friendly staff, but these positives are overshadowed by tired accommodation, disappointing dining, poorly maintained facilities and a booking process that lacks transparency for families. There are better-value options in Barbados, and based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.
