I stayed at this resort for three nights in the beginning of July 2026. Pros: this is a new resort so everything was in great shape. The beds are super comfortable, very plush pillows and a great bathroom set up. The pools were very clean. I didn’t see any trash throughout the whole resort. The gym is brand new. The staff is EXTEMELY HOSPITABLE. everyone was genuinely kind and happy and able to help with any inquiries. The restaurant food was very good. You do have to book a reservation at the front desk for the sushi and steakhouse. But the sushi was definitely amazing. They do offer free shuttle service to the main parts of Barbados since the resort is located in a fairly remote area. There are daily shuttles to the west coast to the beach in which you can sit at a beach club for free with a beach chair and umbrella. The shuttle leaves at 10 and returns at 3 PM. There is also a Friday night shuttle to Oistins fish fry and a Saturday shuttle to Bridgetown. This was clutch. Cons: Location. The resort is located on the east side of the island which is more underdeveloped than the west side. it is extremely quiet however there is not much to do if you want to walk outside of the resort. There are two small cafés, but that’s about it, local neighborhood and farmland. Because it is on the East side of the island, you cannot get in the ocean. The waves are extremely rough to the point where there’s a red flag outside most of the times signaling that you cannot get in. There was also very thick seaweed along the shoreline. Buffet that served breakfast lunch and dinner- very mid. The buffet area is very small and doesn’t have the standard buffet warming trays and often uses heat lamps to keep the food warm. But the food often was cold. They do have a omelette station for breakfast and a juice bar. But there are no fresh roots available throughout the resort. Every now and then I saw some bananas at breakfast, but if you want strawberries and mangoes and other tropical fruits, you will not get that here. The buffet dinner was very not great. So I’d advise booking reservations at a restaurant. You also must dress up for the restaurant reservations and cannot wear basic flip-flops and they will turn you away at the door. Nightly entertainment was mid as well. Overall, my stay was good, but I would prefer a resort where I could actually get on the beach. It depends on if the pros will outweigh the cons for your preference.

We are French Canadians who have been living in Barbados for two years, so this review comes from a local’s perspective. We stayed at Wyndham Grand Barbados to celebrate our daughter’s Graduation Day. While the resort is beautiful, too many small issues kept it from feeling like a true luxury experience. The first problem was simply finding the hotel. Google Maps sent us down a rough dirt road because the hotel’s location is incorrect—you actually need to navigate to Sam Lord’s Castle. Also, the hotel’s name isn’t visible at the entrance. The valet service was excellent, but check-in was frustrating. Even after completing everything online, I had to fill out the same information on paper and then waited about 25 minutes while several staff members stood behind the reception desks. Nobody was smiling, it was as if we were disturbing them. Communication was poor throughout the process, and a promised text about late checkout never arrived. The room was beautiful, modern, and comfortable, but the shower flooded the bathroom because the door doesn’t seal properly. The buffet was surprisingly better than the specialty restaurants. The Japanese restaurant served very spicy food without any indication on the menu, although the service was excellent. The bartenders throughout the resort were fantastic. The pools are beautiful, the gym is outstanding, housekeeping was excellent, and the minibar was well stocked. However, the resort lacks clear signage, the outdoor walkways become extremely slippery when it rains, and there isn’t much to do besides the pools and beach. My daughter fell very hard on the toilet floor near the buffet, and we ended our stay. The beach itself wasn’t swimmable during our stay because of heavy sargassum and rough waves, which of course isn’t the hotel’s fault. My biggest disappointment, aside from the fact that our daughter was seriously injured, was the layout of the pool chairs. Most face the main building instead of the ocean. I’ve never stayed at a beachfront resort where the view is directed inward rather than toward the sea. Overall, this hotel is a disaster and nothing of all those issues justify the premium price. I personally wouldn’t come back.

When we arrived, we ran into an unexpected issue. If you are coming Monday-Friday the buffet style is different The resort’s restaurants were not open for dinner and the one that was required a reservation. Since we weren’t aware of that beforehand, being turned away while we were already hungry was definitely frustrating. Thankfully, we met an amazing concierge named Tiffany, who immediately made it her priority to make sure we had something to eat. She kindly arranged complimentary room service for us, and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in the comfort of our room. That simple act of kindness completely changed our experience. Tiffany, thank you for your outstanding hospitality and for going above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. We truly appreciate you!

The hotel provided wonderful entertainment, which added to the overall experience and ensured there was always something fun to do. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, I felt valued, had an amazing staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. As a solo business traveler, it can sometimes be difficult to feel comfortable, but the team here made me feel like I was among friends. A special thank you to Ishama, Shaquille, and Shakila, who made my stay even more memorable. I had a great time playing dominoes with them, and their warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality. A special thanks to Ryan from pool services who did an outstanding job throught my stay. Thank you to the entire team for making my trip such a memorable and enjoyable one. I look forward to returning in the future.

Hii .. I normally don’t write reviews at all ! But unfortunately this resort had a lot of maintenance problems . From our 1st day the sink would clog and drain really slow . 4 th day or toilet wouldn’t flush and we couldn’t wash our hands for 8 hours . Sone girls got stuck in the elevator for 45 mins . Oh don’t forget the a/c cuts off at night . The restaurant hmmm . The Japanese restaurant was limited on food . The steak house was really good but not open daily . The buffet was horrible breakfast & lunch . Then they have the audacity to charge a $25 delivery fee for room service and that menu is limited . Housekeeping we had to call daily for more towels , tissue etc and they took hours to bring it . Never refilled our refrigerator unless we called . Staff - now I can say Terell @ the pool bar was amazing very friendly . Rashad was awesome as well . It was a few more nice ones , but they names didn’t stick like those two . But there was a lot of rude unfriendly staff there ! I will never stay there again !
