    Just got back from 5 night honeymoon and had a great trip. Drinks were wonderful. Zebe at the swim up bar was awesome! Food was pretty good, room for improvement there but overall not toobad. The rooms were very nice and clean. The bed was more firm than we liked. The AC wouldn't go below 69 degrees which wasn't cold enough for our sun burns but other people said their rooms were colder. The ceiling fans in our room and porch were useless and barely put off air flow. The gardens were beautiful and grounds were very clean. We and others were disappointed the pools closed at 6 every day. Beach was beautiful and water sorta rough on that part of the island. Staff was very friendly and professional. Ricardo the bus driver was fun. I feel like the resort is aimed more got older couples than 20 30 year old but overall we still had a wonderful time.

    This is our 3rd Sandals experience and as always it delivers based on our expectations. Staff were the best!!! You can tell the people of Barbados are "brought up c" (Bajan term I for sure have mispelled meaning brought up to have manners, I learned) lol. Location is always prime with Sandals, powder white sand, ocean was a bit rough but the way I like it. Our room was gorgeous, with soaker tub in the balcony and clean as a whistle, vaulted ceilings gave it a great esthetic. Coming from Toronto where the food scene is hard to beat, the meats, although nice cuts, lamb shank/chops & steak were good not great. However, the sushi spot Soy, was one of my best sushi experiences which is saying something the Nigiri and Sashimi were the best, especially the Yellowtail imported from Japan. Chef Noe & Gilberto and others were great. My other spot was the Jerk Shack, which always hit. Our Kimino experince was also great. The Red Lane Spa is always a notch above based on location and focus on serenity. The staff there understand how you want to be treated.

    Resort was great, bowling alley and beer selection was amazing, food was as expected for sandals, but the public beach panhandlers ruined the experience and we will not be back. They waited for me to leave the wife for a quick swim and then harassed her to the point she did not want to stay on the beach. When I came back they engaged with me calling me a racist and stating “we don’t want your white people on our beach”. I understand sandals cannot do anything about this but recommend anyone looking for a good beach experience stick to resorts with a private beach. We will not return. The picture is the leader of the group that harassed myself and my wife. We were on the resort property when this occurred but they show little regard for the transition from the public beach to sandals property.

    Great experience at sandals barbados for our anniversary. Room was spotless with a great balcony view in a quiet end of building. Our room attendant, Rhonda was super friendly and professional. The food was very good in our opinion especially at Kimonos Japanese restaurant. Also shout out to " chevhrine who made the best planters punch on the island at the beach bar.Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, the grounds were impeccable and very well maintained. Keep an eye out for the few chickens / roosters that roam the grounds for they are very inquisitive and will come up to you to say hello. Just an overall great experience. Also, chance at the front desk was very helpful in showing us around the resort on our first day.

    We just finished our 4th visit to Sandals/Beaches, our 1st at Royal Barbados and it did not disappoint. The best thing about this resort is being 2 in 1 with Sandals Barbados right next door. The number of available restaurants and activies between the 2 are a nice plus. The food at each restaurant we tried were very good, overall the best food we've had during our Sandals trips. Our favorites were the fresh donuts, the Mahi Mahi at Neptunes, surf and turf at Butches steakhouse, and breakfast buffet at American Tavern. The beach is nice, on the smaller side and and has some waves, though there is a rock wall that knocks them down a bit. There weren't as many water sports available due to the water conditions but there was still a few, we dont come for the water sports so it was fine for us. The water is crystal clear but some seaweed on one of the five days, but not a big deal. The room was nice, modern and kept clean by our housekeeping staff every day. They refilled our towels each morning and keep our shower products stocked. Our Butler's were great, accommodating us for all of our request and were even able to score us fresh coconuts to drink out of on 2 occasions. Overall the staff on site are great, they greet you every time walking by and are happy to assist for any questions or even stopping to take a picture for us. Of course there are one or two who might be having a bad day and might not seem as friendly but by and far the majority of our interactions were positive. Our highlight of our stay was meeting the monkeys who frequent the property, they really made our trip after missing them for a few days but we lucky found them hanging out by the ronduvalls around 7:15am on morning. There was roughly 7 of them, we kept our distance but they were harmless to all of the people who passed by to take pictures. One guest even fed them a banana right from her hand!
