Epic experience! Gorgeous location - an island with its own runway... We opted for a room on the beach, which gave us that paradise holiday feel. The staff was super helpful. Upon arrival we were asisgned our own buddy staff member, Chaotay- who looked after us. All bookings for watersport, spa, a la carte restaurants... he organised for us. We snorkelled just outside our room and later on further down the beach... and saw many kinds of fish... We also had a lovely dining experience (5 course dinner) in the Waterfront Restaurant, Ari was our waitress, she was great! I wanted to say a very special thank you to Devi from Xendadu Spa who looked after me with Ayurvedic massage and treatments. My shoulder was super stiff upon arrival but now, it feels relaxed and lose. All the staff was epic!

We spent our honeymoon at Ifuru and it was truly unforgettable — not just because of the beautiful island, but because of the people who work here. Every member of the staff we interacted with was dedicated, kind, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. Chotey, our villa attendant, was outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. His attitude made a real difference in our stay. The housekeeping staff for Villa 316 also deserves praise — always smiling, polite, and keeping our room spotless every day. And the pizza chef by the main pool — absolutely delicious pizza, made with care and passion. From the excellent food to the relaxing atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. We felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease throughout our entire stay. Our time at Ifuru was, without doubt, the best honeymoon we could have hoped for. We deeply appreciate the hardworking people here — they truly deserve recognition.

Our first vacation in the Maldives completely met our expectations. Everything was amazing — excellent food, very kind and helpful staff, and a beautiful island. The only downside was the wait for the domestic flight.

Before booking this resort I specifically asked about the using of my drone and I was promised it would be possible and easy to obtain permission during times with no flights on the airport, which of course makes sense. Anyway the airport is on the east side of the island and points of interest for drone usage on the west side. What I was NOT told before was that they only will only allow it in the ugliest, not interesting spot on the entire island which no one would have any interest in shooting photos or videos. I asked for permission to use it in the beautiful spots like the marina area, waterfront restaurant and the pool area and during times this would not disturb other guests like early morning. Had I been told before about this in full detail, I would have looked for another island & resort in the next second. But they like and want your money, not your happiness. Also during the meals in the fruit section there were apples, watermelon and bananas. We have plenty of those back at home, we paid 5* on a remote tropical island because we want mangoes, passion fruit, dragon fruit and other tropical fruits, and none of these were served. At one dinner they brought some passion fruit and we had to fight other tourists for some because it was finished in a few minutes and then they did not refill. The best dishes also finish really quick and then you have to ask multiple employees for refills and wait there for 10-15 minutes for more. Also I do not drink any alcohol but I cannot enjoy in the ‘premium’ all inclusive package fresh fruit drinks which is what I would like to drink on a tropical island with palm trees and sunny beaches. Of course they will give a fancy reply with complex marketing team words, but keep in mind I am a well traveled gentleman who knows exactly what he wants and asks before about all the details. I would not book this resort again.

We had an absolutely amazing time – just the way we imagined our honeymoon! The Ifuru Island Resort played a decisive role in making it so special. We stayed in Beach Villa 321, which had an especially beautiful beach access because it wasn’t a narrow walkway but a rectangular area, allowing us to comfortably relax in our own private garden whenever we wanted. The villa’s open-air bathroom and direct connection to the beach made it even more perfect.We were also there over Halloween, and the resort’s celebrations that day really delighted us – from the Halloween foam pool party in the afternoon to the themed dinner and outdoor party in the evening. The entire staff was dressed up and created such a fun and lively atmosphere throughout the day.The housekeeping service with Ravi from Sri Lanka, who did an outstanding job, and the food across six different locations were both exceptional. The buffet at the main restaurant offered varied and delicious themed nights every day, and the à la carte restaurants such as the Waterfront offered a wonderful atmosphere, top quality, and excellent service, especially from our waiter Sandesh.The evening entertainment at the Hubba Hubba Bar, with the best service from Sumit and Chamod, stood out with live acts such as belly dancing, LED shows, fire performances, and live duets. Our personal buddy Suaid, who was in charge of organizing everything for us, was simply amazing. As part of our honeymoon package, we had a complimentary 50-minute couples massage, which was excellent.With all the water sports, snorkeling, diving, and excursions on offer, there’s no chance of getting bored even after a full week. As beginners, we joined two snorkeling trips that were truly wonderful experiences. Please note that spa treatments and activities come with additional “++” charges, which include 17% tax and a 10% service charge.We recommend visiting for a honeymoon during the shoulder season between October and November, as otherwise there tend to be many Russian families with children on the island.All in all, the most beautiful vacation of our lives – two weeks in paradise with wonderful people and top quality in every aspect.
