From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was simply exceptional. We were welcomed with such genuine warmth, and even our goodbye felt incredibly personal. At no point did we ever feel like “just another guest.” Quite the opposite, we felt truly seen, cared for and valued throughout our entire stay. What makes this place so special is the attention to detail. Everything feels thoughtful, effortless and of the highest quality. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly makes the difference is the people. The entire team goes above and beyond, always with kindness, warmth and sincerity. We have travelled to many beautiful places, but we honestly cannot remember ever experiencing this level of hospitality before. We came to the Maldives to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and the team did everything they could to make this milestone truly unforgettable. They made an already very special trip feel even more exceptional, and we will always associate this anniversary with the beautiful memories we created here. We have been home for a little while now, and we still have the post-Maldives blues… which probably says it all.💙 Thank you to the entire team for making our 10th anniversary so unforgettable. We spent our honeymoon at InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, and it was truly everything we could have hoped for and more. What made our stay so special wasn’t just the beautiful surroundings, stunning ocean and incredible experiences, but the wonderful people who made us feel so welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated us with such warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality that we felt less like guests and more like family. As newlyweds celebrating such a special milestone, these thoughtful gestures meant even more to us and made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Reinhold (General Manager), Chris (RM), Zain (Director of Rooms), Shi Jin (Front Office Manager) and Glee (Reservations Manager) for making our stay so wonderful. We would also like to thank Reetesh (Sommelier), Natsumi (Curator), Ali, Hasim and Gopal from Café Umi, Jocelyn and Eunece from Fish Market, Manoj from Retreat, and Ismail (HSKP Supervisor) for their wonderful service and hospitality. A special thank you to Isub, our villa attendant, for keeping our villa spotless and delighting us with the lovely towel decorations and thoughtful little touches. Coming back to our villa always felt so welcoming! Thank you also to Lhamo and Yulia from AVI Spa for the relaxing and memorable spa experiences. Our ocean excursions were another highlight of our honeymoon. A big thank you to Ashraf, Wadde and Islam from the Ocean Group for helping us experience the magic of the Maldives. Seeing turtles, manta rays and dolphins in their natural surroundings was absolutely incredible and gave us memories we will treasure for years to come. To every member of the team who made our honeymoon so special, thank you for going above and beyond. Your warmth, thoughtfulness and genuine care made us feel so comfortable and loved during this precious time in our lives. We came here to celebrate the beginning of our married life together, and we are leaving with beautiful memories, full hearts and so much gratitude. We had a wonderful experience at InterContinental Maldives. Everything, from the villa and food to the exceptional service, was fantastic. The Manta Experience was really unforgettable, and the island itself is simply beautiful. The staff took excellent care of us throughout our stay.
