My heartfelt appreciation goes out to the entire Club Intercontinental Team for their dedication, and outstanding hospitality. Everyone is so friendly particularly, Ms Sari Takagi. She welcomed us with the sweetest smile! The afternoon tea and the cocktail hours are the highlights during our stay! We also appreciate Mr Kazuomi Noguchi, Manager of Rooms for helping us take nice pictures of the beautiful afternoon tea set as well as the amazing bento breakfast box. His hard work and thoughtful anticipation of our needs made us feel truly well taken care of. The lobby bar with the fireplace is a cozy place to hang out. The room is clean with an amazing view of Tokyo Bay. We really enjoyed our stay!! Overall, what really separates InterContinental Tokyo Bay from the rest was the exceptional service! I will recommend to friends and families to stay there!

This hotel is a pretty great pick for a holiday, it's close to a train station that takes you to Joypolis and close to hamomatsujo station which can get you to most places in Tokyo. The rooms were really nice, I had a bay view room and when my flight was delayed I got a room on floor 10, both came with a nice bathroom, with a shower and bath and both were a really good size for two guests. The Cafe for the breakfast was great, if you're going I'd recommend getting breakfast included, you get a nice buffet spread of food and a really nice chef who makes you an omelette. If you go to the third floor, you can easily get to the familymart to get some bit like food and water for a day out which is extremely useful. They also sell some lovely cakes on the first floor.

My recent stay at InterContinental Tokyo Bay was once again an excellent experience. Beyond the beautiful location and views, what truly differentiates this property is its people. I would especially like to recognize the breakfast team. Managing a busy morning service with such professionalism, calm precision and genuine hospitality is not easy — yet they do it effortlessly. The attention to detail, consistency of service and thoughtful handling of dietary requests reflect a very well-trained and committed team. I would also like to thank the Concierge team for their outstanding assistance. From last-minute arrangements to thoughtful recommendations and smooth coordination, their support significantly enhanced my stay. Their responsiveness and proactive attitude truly embody high-level hospitality. This combination of operational excellence and human warmth is what keeps me returning to this hotel. Looking forward to my next stay.

InterContinental Tokyo Bay offers good-sized, well-appointed rooms that are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, meeting expectations for a premium hotel. However, the overall experience was significantly impacted by issues around customer satisfaction and communication. Despite paying close to 95,000 yen per night, I encountered an unexpected additional charge related to lounge access, which I acknowledge was due to my own assumption about fairness in the pricing structure. While this was technically my oversight, the situation highlighted a lack of flexibility and sensitivity in how the matter was handled. To be clear, the additional cost itself was not a financial concern; rather, it was the surprise and the way the experience unfolded that detracted from the stay. For a brand of this calibre, I would expect a more considered, customer-focused approach. While the physical product is strong, the service experience did not align with the hotel’s premium positioning. Given this experience, on a future visit to Tokyo, with the similar price range, more modern build, larger standard rooms, better service and better location, I would recommend to stay at Conrad Hotel Shiodome instead.

We stayed at the Intercontinental hotel for 3 nights, 19/01-22/01. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful as were the staff around the hotel entrances, and cleaning staff- they wonderfully reflected the hotel. Unfortunately, that's where our positive experience ends. Firstly, we signed up for the ambassador program (a paid program of $225USD), which allows for a room "upgrade". While the room was of a higher class, the standard was exceptionally lacking. See attached photos- sealant lifting in the shower, stains around the shower floor, limescale marks all over the bathroom floor. There was dust on surfaces (TV area, coffee machine etc) and the carpet seemed old. There was no fan in the bathroom, so condensation built up everywhere and took hours to dry. The toilet is the same style that was here on our first stay 10 years ago- yellowing panels and untidy cords. We also had a significant issue with the air-conditioning- it was stuffy and overly warm (registering about 25 for us) even after being turned down to 19°. It took five interactions to have a workable solution - the helpful gentleman at the front desk gave us a portable fan and turned the air-conditioner down to 16°, which stopped the stuffy, uncomfortable feeling. The staff greeting at the restaurant- Chef's Live Kitchen were pretentious and standoffish- they stared at us when we arrived and didn't actually speak with us, and essentially ignored us after they "escorted" us to our table. The restaurant was exceptionally noisy and filled with business men, which is fine, but definitely ruined the ambiance of the area. They were also noticeably more attentive to these guests - clearing plates, chatting- than they were with the family guests. We will note that our experience significantly improved when we arrived later on our last day- the staff were friendly and relaxed, and it was largely quiet. Despite a lovely spread at breakfast, we avoided the hotel for lunch and dinner because of staff behaviour. We have stayed at this hotel (in this room class) 3 times over the last 10 years and make it our last hotel of our holidays because the view over Tokyo Bay. Our first stay was exceptional, our second stay was excellent, but this stay has ensured we will never be back. There are other hotels, both in Tokyo and in the area which exceed this, and are similarly priced. We are so disappointed, and it has put a dampener on what has otherwise been a delightful holiday in Japan.
