Our family had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Tokyo, and what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast experience was outstanding. In addition to a buffet, there is an extensive list of ala carte options included. One of the highlights was their Japanese breakfast, which does not require pre-ordering (other hotels we stayed at had limited quantities of their Japanese breakfast so pre-ordering was required). Shangri-La also partners with Micasadeco, so guests can enjoy the viral fluffy pancakes without having to wait long lines. The breakfast staff were especially wonderful with our two young sons. They always greeted us warmly, took the time to chat with our family, and genuinely seemed interested in hearing about our plans for the day. A special thank you to Farah and Yuka, who were always very warm and made each morning feel personal and memorable. The driveway and bell staff were equally impressive. They were always proactive in helping us get taxis and communicating our destinations to drivers. On one occasion, our Uber driver had difficulty finding the hotel driveway. A staff member took the time to speak directly with the driver, pinpoint his exact location, and personally walked with us to meet him just a couple of minutes away. Our room was spacious with a nice city view, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. They provided small robes and slippers for our young kids. Turndown service was always a nice touch. Returning to our room each evening to find everything prepared, including pajamas neatly laid out, made us feel truly pampered. The location is also hard to beat as it is literally steps from Tokyo Station. There is a Lawson’s nearby so it was easy to buy snacks and drinks for our kids. Shangri-La Tokyo delivered the luxury experience you would expect from a 5-star hotel, but it was the sincere hospitality and thoughtful service that made our stay unforgettable. We would gladly return on our next trip to Tokyo.

Front desk staff and restaurant attendants are wonderful and are 5/5. Rooms are fine, though feel somewhat dated. Docked off two stars because the attendants at the gift shop were surprisingly cold and disinterested in helping you. I feel that they'd be better in a non-service role. Location is convenient given its proximity to Tokyo Station. I wouldn't come back to this hotel.

We stayed here for about 5 days and really loved it. The rooms were excellent and the location (right next to the Tokyo station) was very good. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed breakfast. The only slight negative was that the concierge were not as helpful as I would have liked in arranging tours (in comparison to other hotels).

The location and room, excellent, no complaints and has to say, perfection. I think may be is Japan culture, in the breakfast and executive lounge, drinks, either alcohol or none alcoholic, and important food need to order and serve to you. Of course they don't restick you the times of ordering, but main course for breakfast, you can only select 1. However you can make special request for your main course, standard is 2 eggs, you can ask for 3 or 4 or more. Flexible. A bit new to this serving and habit, not use to it but they gave some right but I think not everybody feel the exclusiveness

Beautiful hotel and very helpful staff — TVs in room are not user friendly to foreigners and could use an update. Woke up @ 3am to watch Japan and Brazil in World Cup and couldn’t locate game — so the functionality of TVs and operating of the light switches are reason for 4 star. One mistake like pulling card out and you’re left in total darkness.
