I recently stayed at this resort and my friend and I were BEYOND grateful for the staff! They were so kind and went out of their way to make our Florida staycation even more grand than we had originally anticipated! Starting with Alex at the concierge desk who was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and felt like talking to an old friend. Ivan, Nelson, and Jim at valet are also exceptionally knowledgeable about the layout of the island and pointing us in the direction of the best shell finding beaches. They were engaging, helpful, and showed genuine curiosity about our stay to use those details to enhance our experience. The hotel itself is quite stunning and has a beautiful view of the sunset from the west side. The complimentary drinks upon arrival were a sweet addition to check-in. The room was very well cleaned and maintained and we did not run into any issues with our generous accommodations. The drive to Captiva Island is just as described on the Marriott booking page which was just a short 2 minute drive (quite literally your first right turn after exiting the hotel parking lot) to the toll bridge to get onto the island and about 25 minutes to get all the way over to Bowman’s Beach. I cannot recommend this crew or hotel enough if you’re staying in Sanibel, FL. THIS crew is a demonstration in PROPER customer service which many places seem to lack these days. Another fantastic Marriott experience!

Perfect hotel located just before the bridge into Sanibel. Nick at the front desk was amazing and so friendly, got us checked in quickly, a little early and with a room upgrade! The hotel looks over the water and is very clean. The only downside was the bellhop, Tom, had barely unloaded our bags before turning around and saying ‘so you guys don’t tip?’, extremely off putting and we had 4 bags that he brought up via cart for us after saying we could do it our selves. Overall would recommend staying here as everything else is perfect!

We stayed here for a quick weekend on my birthday. No kids. There was a beautiful view upon entering. Everything was clean and had so many amenities we wish we stayed longer or brought our kids! What was most special was the F&B manager Mike at the end of a late night totally was able to hook my husband and I up with this absolutely delicious lava cake that I was craving (even if the kitchen was closing). We enjoyed the Knicks game at the stunning sunset at Sanibel Harbour. It was perfectly located we were able to get right on and off the island. Everything was perfect thank you so much. Oh my, I almost forgot. There was dolphin viewings right from our room, magical!

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. We booked our stay through Priceline in February for four nights, and unfortunately the property was not accurately represented online. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed an odd smell when checking into the main lobby. However, the lobby itself was beautiful, so at first we did not think too much of it. During check-in, we were informed that our room was not located in the main building, but instead in a second tower located on the other side of the property, which required us to drive there. After receiving our keys and arriving at the second tower, we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong sewage-like odor. The smell was absolutely putrid, overpowering, and suffocating from the moment we stepped outside of the car. At that point, we realized the hotel was located directly next to a swamp, which was never disclosed or apparent in the hotel listing. When we entered the room, the situation only became worse. The odor was so overwhelming that it was difficult to breathe, and we could not even stand out on the balcony because of the smell. In addition, the refrigerator in the room was leaking, leaving water all over the floor. Within approximately 20 minutes of checking in, we returned to the main building to request a room change. We asked if we could at least be moved into the main tower and even expressed that we were willing to pay additional money for an upgraded room if necessary; however, we were told there was nothing available. The only alternative offered was another room in the same building on a different floor, which clearly would not resolve the issue. In addition to the unacceptable conditions, the staff and manager on that day was extremely unhelpful and dismissive throughout the situation. We felt as though our concerns were not taken seriously, and rather than attempting to assist us or provide a reasonable solution, the staff appeared more interested in moving on to the next customer. At that point, we made the decision to check out immediately because the conditions were completely unacceptable. We contacted Priceline right away to request a refund. Priceline attempted to reach hotel management on our behalf, and we also personally attempted to contact hotel management multiple times since February. Unfortunately, the hotel has not made any attempt or meaningful effort to contact myself or Priceline to resolve the situation or rectify the experience. As a result, we are currently out approximately $1,200 for a stay we were physically unable to complete due to the conditions of the property. I do not recommend this hotel. They clearly misrepresent the property and do not seem to genuinely care about their customers or resolving issues when problems arise.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa while she attended a conference, and we were extremely pleased with our experience. We stayed in a water-view room with two queen beds in the main tower since no king rooms were available. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The view was absolutely beautiful, overlooking the pool and San Carlos Bay, with the Sanibel Causeway visible in the distance. It was the perfect setting to relax after a busy day. While my wife attended the conference, I worked remotely from the room each day. The room provided a comfortable workspace, and the Wi-Fi was reliable throughout our stay. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating from check-in through departure. We requested a late checkout because of the conference schedule, and they were happy to accommodate our request, which we greatly appreciated. The location is another major advantage. It's just minutes from Sanibel Island and conveniently located near several excellent restaurants. Bimini Bait Shack, in particular, is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel and is well worth the visit for its great food, live music, and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, this was an excellent stay. The combination of comfortable accommodations, beautiful waterfront views, outstanding customer service, and a convenient location made for a wonderful experience. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa to anyone visiting the Fort Myers and Sanibel area.
