I had such an amazing stay at Hilton Martinique New York! Caroline and Hirenia truly went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special. Not only did they surprise me with a room upgrade, but they also helped send my parcel at the hotel’s expense, which was such a thoughtful gesture and incredibly appreciated. From check-in to check-out, the hospitality was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Little touches like these make all the difference and turned my trip into such a memorable experience. A huge thank you again to Caroline and Hirenia for their kindness and exceptional service — you made our stay unforgettable! I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.

We needed a central location to see as many sites as possible in a four day trip. This hotel was perfect t for our trip. Price was great, and quiet, spacious room. Everyone greeted us every time we came and went. Jose C. Got us lined up with a great ride to the airport and fixed the price and time for us perfectly. Mario T. Took the reins to hold our bags to enjoy a show on broadway after we checked out of our room. Great group of folks working this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located on Broadway, just a short, direct walk from Moynihan Station. Although it is a historic property, it features digital key access via the Hilton app, which allowed for a seamless, contactless check-in. My standard room was compact but modern and equipped with a smart TV. While the view was limited due to NYC’s building density, that was expected. I particularly appreciated the powerful air conditioning, which provided a much-needed escape from the brutal summer heat. I also felt safe and secure thanks to the personnel checking keys at the entrance. The main downsides were the poor soundproofing, as I could hear my neighbor, though I was too exhausted from the concert to mind. Additionally, the lack of an electric kettle was inconvenient, requiring me to use the coffee maker for hot water.

Frankly, I’m surprised this is only marginally rated better than the Hampton inn Chelsea. The two hotels are in completely different universes. We stayed in one of the double rooms (got upgraded to penthouse floor). The room was nice and spacious and clean, the only drawback was how dark the room is even with lights on. Bathroom was good and spacious and the water pressure was ok but the hot water temperature was consistent. TV has streaming services you can sign int. Hotel breakfast in restaurant à la carte was great by American standards! Would stay next time.

Great location, clean. However, I stay almost exclusively at Hilton properties, in part because the bedding is so comfortable. Not at this hotel — the pillows are awful. Super lumpy, very uncomfortable. My husband, who is very low maintenance, said, “What’s with these pillows? They’re horrible.” I asked at the front desk for two comfortable pillows and the response was they were all the same and we would just end up with the same pillows. (The front desk did not care, did not even say they’d pass my comments along). We’re unfortunately staying for four nights and I’m going to go to TJ Maxx to buy some halfway decent pillows. Note: I usually only leave good reviews, and have left several for Hilton hotels, but I hope I’m helpful to anyone who is used to staying at Hilton properties and is expecting their usually excellent bedding.
