The Medhufushi Island Resort all-inclusive programme includes the following:

  • Breakfast at the main restaurant
  • Lunch served at the main restaurant
  • Afternoon tea with snacks served at the a la carte restaurant
  • Dinner served at the main restaurant
  • Bottled water and drinks served by glass, including soft drinks, cocktails, beer, house wine and selected pouring spirits (10am to 12midnight, drinks served after 12midnight will be charged at normal rate)
  • Minibar, with soft drinks and water (refilled daily)
  • Selected cocktails and mocktails
  • 20% discount on meals at the a la carte restaurant if the bill exceeds US$50
  • 10% discount on spa treatments
  • 20% discount on special dinners
  • 2 excursions (island hopping and sunset/morning fishing) per person, per stay (minimum 5-night stay, subject to minimum number of people)

Speedboat Transfers

  • The speedboat transfer is operated by a third-party provider and will be combined with other guests.
  • Estimated transfer duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes (may vary depending on weather and sea conditions).
  • Two speedboat departures operate daily:
    • Airport to Medhufushi: 11:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs
    • Medhufushi to Airport: 06:00 hrs and 10:00 hrs
  • International flights must land at least 1 hour before the scheduled speedboat departure.
  • Speedboat check-in closes 15 minutes before departure.
  • Maximum airport waiting time: Up to the last guest’s arrival for that day.
  • Bookings must be made at least 72 hours before arrival to guarantee the transfer.
  • No baggage weight restrictions.
  • The service provider may carry non-Medhufushi guests and may make additional stops during the journey.
  • Speedboat transfers are not recommended for young children, elderly guests, or those who experience seasickness.

They have a outdated reservation system. I reserved it using my credit card and then talked with senior manager. I was assured that my reservation is complete and I don't have to worry about anything. 3 days before arrival, during my Sri Lanka visit, I got a email, stating that I need to pay for my reservation. I said, I paid with my credit card months ago. Via WhatsApp I contacted the senior manager, I was dealing with and she told me the same thing. I said I can't pay because I am in a public place and it is not safe to provide credit card details. Repeatedly, I mentioned that you have my credit card so you can charge the full amount because I already authorized that. Also they tell you lot of things are included but when you actually try to get it it is different. Like, I took a all inclusive package, which included alcohol and they had a list of alcohol included but when I asked about my favorite drink, that was not included but ingredients are. Our cabin was dusty, full of insects roaming around. Air-conditioning is very old and doesn't work properly. They had a ceiling fan in the cabin but the fan doesn't work properly. When we asked whether they can fix the fan, I was told that ceiling fan is for decorative purpose only.

This is my kid’s first international trip and while I was a little nervous in the beginning, the moment we checked in, I knew we had made a great decision. Even though the resort is about 2 hours and 15 minutes away from the airport, the journey was comfortable and smooth. The resort staff coordinated everything—from the airport pick-up to the transfers—making the entire experience hassle-free. The resort itself is amazing. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. A special shoutout to Ajay at Villubar and Jagan at the resort for taking care of all our needs and making our stay truly memorable. It’s a beautiful place and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed family getaway.

We were welcomed warmly by the staff. They were helpful and quick to respond to every request of us. For meals we booked fullboard and it was totally worth it but we wish we had included drinks as well. Bar is really quiet in the day, we had such a nice time during our stay. We were served by Hasem during our meal times, he was great and we are grateful. Staff works really hard with all the extra entertainment activities as well. It was great overall.

Would highly Recommend this resort! Special mentions for ⭐️Hasem⭐️ and ⭐️Maharazul⭐️ - these guys were absolutely fantastic and really went above and beyond to make our and other guests stays perfect! Thank you both! From the moment you collect your luggage from the airport you are treated like royalty. There is a friendly rep waiting for you to escort you and your luggage to your sea plane, and your bags are waiting in your room for you. Once you arrive at the resort the staff are so friendly and cant do enough for you. You are given your own personal waiter for the entirety of your stay(we had Hasem and he was Brilliant) my fiancee has a gluten intolerance and they made sure she was well catered for. The island itself is beautiful and there is so much wildlife. The resort is so quiet you feel like you're the only people there in the day. The rooms are immaculate (we stayed in a water villa) cleaned everyday by Maharazul, he even realised it was our anniversary and decorated the bed after seeing cards in the room which was such a lovely thing to do. The snorkeling included with the all inclusive is brilliant and we also paid to do the dolphin trip which is well worth paying the extra! We did see a few families with children, I'm sure they had a nice time but i would say although the resort is child friendly it is still very quiet with no playground etc so probably not the best place for kids. We also noticed a few bad reviews on here about the staff - from our experience we saw the staff being fair and attentive to ALL guests, however particular guests of certain cultures come across very rude to the staff, and seemed to moan about anything! I've also noticed complaints about lizards in the rooms... YES they are native to the islands and its their home! They are very cute and absolutely harmless so if you are scared of these little things then don't book a holiday at any resort in the Maldives!! Overall a wonderful place to visit and would recommend for couples and adults to visit. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
