Really great all round hotel located right on the sea front less than 10 minutes drive from the centre of Funchal. All staff are extremely friendly, nice and welcoming .....do the upmost to.make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one. The swimming pool areas are not crowded, quiet, plenty of sunbeds and space. Pool bar is open from 10am to 6pm. Also an indoor swimming pool and massive jacuzzi. There is a gym with well looked after and maintained equipment, also a games room too. The breakfast was plentiful, un rushed and provided a large range of cooked breakfasts, made to order eggs and omelettes, waffles , pancakes, cereals, fruits, and a proper bean to cup coffee machine. Fridge was stocked with a few welcome complimentary drinks and a fruit bowl on the second day was delivered as well. Rooms are clean, large pillows, modern bathrooms. All hotel areas we very clean and tidy. There is a car park downstairs ( which can be pre booked ) for 13 euro per night. A Spar shop is located a 5 minute walk away and the Forum Madeira shopping mall is a short 19 min walk in the other direction. For those that are not half or full board, there are a number of very good restaurants all within 10 mins walk.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They helped me book tours around the island and helped me rent a car. Most of them speak 3 languages. The rooms are really cozy, clean and well soundproofed. The location was great : you have access to the Lido promenade where I would go for a run each morning. The view was amazing. The pool was great ! Nice infinity pool with a view on the ocean. I particularly loved that breakfast was until 11am so you have time in the morning to do your stuff without being rushed. A lot of choice at the breakfast too ! Great stay ! Thank you !

We've stayed at Pestana Promenade on numerous occasions thanks to Pestana's Vacation Club. We actually came for our Honeymoon back in 2021, and we've come back here every time since. It has a great swimming pool. Its in a great location not too close to Funchal, but not too far....its walkable from the hotel. And the food in the hotel is great, there's a wide variety of themed buffets every night. There's also plenty of choice in the surrounding area if you fancy something different. The Spa facilities are great, very reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Awesome hotel. Totally woth the price. Nice accomodation. Free use of pools and the spa. Very clean rooms. Great vieuw. Parking in the basement, great to not to deal with finding a parking spot. Breakfast was all very good.

As a family we passed 2 weeks in this wonderful hotel. The rooms have enough space, the hotel complex is very green with nice plants and flowers. The staff is very kind and helpul, we liked the breakfats buffet very much. The hotel has 3 outside pools and an inside pool and a spa complex. You find very good restaurants nearby and can walk in 30 minutes to the city center of Funchal. If you do not want to walk, you can take the bus for 2,05€ per adults, children until 12 years are free. And we miss already the beautiful sea view.
