We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Porto Elounda. What stood out most was the genuine warmth, kindness, and hospitality of the entire team, from our very first contact during the reservation process to the moment we checked out. Breakfast and dinner were consistently excellent, offering high-quality cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere. The variety of live music during the buffet dinners added a particularly enjoyable touch to the evenings. Our room and the entire property were exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. The pristine beach and crystal-clear, calm waters were another highlight, especially for families with young children and toddlers. Service at both the pool and beach was outstanding, with attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the Operations Director, whose exceptional dedication, genuine care for the guests, and personal attention are truly commendable. Her commitment to ensuring that every guest feels valued and well looked after is evident throughout the resort and clearly reflected in the high standards of service delivered by the entire team. A memorable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. We would be delighted to return.

Porto Elounda Golf Resort – A Truly Luxurious Escape in Crete Porto Elounda Golf Resort is an outstanding luxury hotel in one of the most spectacular locations in Crete. From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in an atmosphere of elegance and luxury that makes you feel like royalty . The resort is truly magnificent, with seemingly endless grounds overlooking the breathtaking Elounda Bay. Among its many facilities, you’ll find a golf course, a private beach, beautiful swimming pools, various sports courts, and probably much more that I didn’t even manage to discover during our stay! The hotel offers four restaurants: Italian, a steakhouse, Greek and Japanese. We tried the Italian restaurant and were certainly not disappointed. The resort also has a bar serving drinks only. One thing we personally missed was having somewhere to enjoy a nice cup of coffee and a slice of cake from time to time. It would be a lovely addition to the overall experience. What really stands out is the level of service. The staff genuinely go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Even when we had minor issues or special requests, the team responded immediately, with a level of care and attention that exceeded our expectations. A sincere thank you to everyone for that The resort also features one of the most impressive spa complexes I have ever seen, although unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to experience it as much as I would have liked. Personally, I feel this resort is better suited to couples than families. In fact, I would absolutely love to return here for a romantic getaway once a year. Location The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the centre of Elounda village and approximately 12 minutes from the centre of Agios Nikolaos. My two recommendations for anyone planning a stay here : 1. Rent a car! A resort like this deserves to be combined with exploring the beautiful surrounding area. There is so much to discover in this part of Crete, and having your own car makes the experience even better. 2. Stay for at least 6–7 nights. There is simply so much to enjoy that anything shorter might not give you enough time to experience everything the resort has to offer. Elounda Golf & Spa is a wonderful place, perfect for a few relaxing days in Crete. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the entire resort is very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is of a very high standard. The pool area and spa facilities complete the experience perfectly. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful surroundings, and the attention given to guests. It is a place where you can truly relax and one we would gladly return to. Highly recommended!

Fabulous hotel and we got a free Upgrade upon arrival an amazing surprise. The renovated room are great walking or golf cart to the beach is scenic and beautiful. The Spa has complimentary sessions by Grit Hammer, I did yoga and Pilates in the morning before breakfast and I feel revived. I would definitely recommend.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! This is definitely one of the most outstanding hotels we have stayed at. I’ll briefly list the main points so that anyone planning to visit can quickly get a good idea of what to expect. What we really liked: 1. Attention to small details. There are many thoughtful touches that make the stay more comfortable and pleasant. For example, water, juice, and dried fruit are available at reception, and near the beach entrance there is a convenient place to wash the sand off your feet. 2. Private seawater pools. Many rooms have their own seawater pool, which is absolutely amazing, especially during summer when travelling with children. 3. Excellent staff and management. The staff are very attentive, but in a natural and genuine way rather than being overly formal. The hotel clearly has very good management. They even allowed us a late check-out without charging anything extra, which we really appreciated. 4. Very good housekeeping and room service. Housekeeping came twice a day, water was regularly brought to the room, and every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. 5. Beautiful beach and large outdoor pool. Both are excellent and located very close to each other, which makes everything especially convenient. 6. Good location. The hotel is close enough to the city — a taxi costs around €12. There are plenty of shops there. Also, if you need groceries, Euro Market, which is about a 10-minute drive away, offers free delivery to the hotel. 7. Very convenient transportation inside the resort. They have small shuttle cars that usually arrive within 2–5 minutes and take you wherever you need to go around the property. 8. Clean and well-maintained. The entire hotel and surrounding area are very clean, beautiful, and well cared for. Overall, this is unquestionably a high-standard hotel. 9. Plenty of space for guests. Whether you go to the beach, pool, or restaurant, there always seem to be available sunbeds and tables. You never have to walk around searching for a place, which is a huge plus. To me, this also shows that the hotel does not overcrowd the property just to maximize revenue. What could be improved: 1. Children’s activities. This is probably the area that needs the most improvement. There is a small water park, which opens at 11:00 and is free of charge, but it only has three slides. Our children became bored after about 15 minutes. More activities and entertainment for kids would make a big difference. 2. Water at dinner. One bottle of water during dinner costs around €5. For a hotel of this level, this feels unnecessary, and in my opinion, basic water should be included. 3. Spa access. The spa costs around €40. Personally, I have rarely seen a resort where basic spa access is charged separately, so we decided not to use it. To be fair, having a pool in the room meant we did not really miss it. 4. Breakfast. The breakfast selection is not very large and is quite repetitive from day to day. There is enough food and nobody will leave hungry, but this is definitely an area that could be improved. Some dishes could also be a little more flavorful. That said, we were not unhappy with the breakfast overall. Overall, we had a very positive experience and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel offers a high level of comfort, excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and many thoughtful details.
