The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom all the staff is very friendly The included breakfast is great, you have a lot of choice and can get freshly cooked eggs Unfortunately the room cleaning was just changing towels, making the bed and give new water. Still dirt in the room. Would recommend 👍

AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. I stayed here for one week in Koh Samui and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you arrive, this place feels like a trap designed to charge you for absolutely everything. They try to monetize every tiny detail of your stay. They rent scooters without gasoline, meaning you pay to fill the tank — and of course, you leave fuel behind for the next guest. Pure scam. In the room? Only three pillows. Need an extra one? You’ll be charged to rent a pillow for the week. Yes, you read that right. A pillow. Everything is an excuse to take more money from you. The breakfast is frankly disgusting — low quality, poorly prepared, and absolutely not what you expect from a hotel in Thailand. Completely disappointing. Now let’s talk about the staff, because this is the worst part. The majority of the staff is cold, unfriendly, and unpleasant. No smiles. No greetings. No “hello”, no “good morning”, no basic courtesy. You feel unwelcome every single day. The only exception is the manager, who is polite and smiling — sadly, she’s the only one. The rest of the staff behaves as if guests are a burden. This hotel has zero hospitality, zero warmth, and zero respect for guests. Do yourself a favor: do not book this hotel, do not rent scooters here, do not book any activities through them. There are far better places in Koh Samui where you’ll be treated like a human being instead of a walking wallet. I strongly regret staying here and would never come back.

I feel totally taking advantage of by Samui Verticolor. I have been staying at this property for 7 days. Being a Nomad, I like to remain extremely flexible. I normally book 1, 2 or 3 days maximum where I stay so I am not locked in to a longer commitment even if I plan to stay a month. Today, 30 minutes before check out I walked down stairs to extend 1 day. I was told 1800 baht to stay in the same exact room I booked the day prior for 1200 baht. Know this was either a scam or a genuine mistake. I questioned the agent about the large pricing change from a Sunday(12/21) booking to a Tuesday (12/23) booking. I booked 12/22 on the Agoda app which was also 1200 baht. I was told high season/low season pricing and that the manager changes the prices daily. I really don't think high season starts on 23 December 2025 but rather based on occupancy and demand, but ok. Sure enough, 2 hours later while napping I get a call in my room saying I was charged to much and asked to come downstairs to correct the billing. I am thinking fine, they will refund the difference to me and I will be on my way. I was told I can not be given my money back because the hotels financial report has already been completed. I start being pressured into taking a credit for drinks/food at the pool restaurant bar or have the credit applied if I stay longer. At this point I know this is being manipulative and dishonest. The hotel only accepts baht as payment and that is why I was charged in baht. Now that I am owed money you want to pay me in coupons for high priced hotel drinks and food or inconvenience me by getting me to back up my things to room to another room? Totally unacceptable. I feel stolen from and taking advantage of by Samui Verticolor. As a customer I was forced to leave this Google review and dispute this charge with my credit card company. I tried my absolute best to resolve this but Samui Verticolor is telling me they owe me money but refusing to return it to me in the like kind payment I made to them. I am truly at a loss of words.

One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had in Thailand. This hotel is a huge disappointment. From day one, it feels like they are trying to charge you for every possible thing. Scooters are rented without fuel, so you pay to fill the tank and then leave the fuel behind when you return it. It’s an obvious way for them to save money at the guest’s expense. The same mentality applies to everything else. The room is poorly equipped. Only three pillows are provided, and if you want one more, you have to pay extra. Charging guests to rent a pillow is honestly shocking. Breakfast was low quality and poorly made. Very far from what you’d expect from a hotel in Koh Samui — bland, cheap, and disappointing. The biggest issue, however, is the staff. Most of them are unfriendly, cold, and make zero effort with guests. No smiles, no greetings, no basic politeness. You constantly feel like you’re bothering them just by being there. The manager is the only person who seems to understand what hospitality means. This hotel lacks warmth, professionalism, and respect for guests. There are many better options in Koh Samui. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like a walking ATM.

Excellent value, clean, large rooms, reasonably good breakfast included! Certainly not the newest but well maintained, great parking and a large pool. Friendly and helpful staff. For the price I paid I would stay again at any time.
