A beautiful resort designed in a traditional Thai style, offering an authentic and luxurious experience. We stayed in a Pool Suite with sea view, which was absolutely stunning and thoughtfully designed. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. One of the highlights of this five-star resort is its location. It is situated far away from the busy tourist areas, making it the perfect place to relax and escape the noise and crowds. The resort itself is very large, and guests are conveniently transported around the property by buggy whenever needed. The breakfast is outstanding and far exceeds what you would normally expect from a luxury hotel. There is an impressive variety of options and several live cooking stations offering unique dishes. For example, you can have freshly prepared avocado toast with poached eggs, a wide selection of noodle dishes, freshly made waffles, 3 different coffe stations with different milks like coconut or soy milk, vegan options and much more. The entire breakfast experience is enhanced by a traditionally dressed Thai musician performing live, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The beachfront restaurant is equally impressive. In the evenings, guests can enjoy traditional Thai dance performances as well as an entertaining fire show while dining. We can highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic, and luxurious getaway in Thailand.

Beautiful setting, but not worth the price The room with a private pool was lovely, and breakfast was genuinely good — it’s also a nice touch that snacks are available throughout the day. That’s where the highlights end, unfortunately. The staff is abundant but undertrained. Despite being everywhere, basic requests go unresolved — a broken bulb we reported was never fixed. Check-in was a bizarre ordeal; I was made to wait an hour at reception simply because my wife hadn’t arrived yet. The pricing is hard to justify. A coconut costs 210 THB here — the same one goes for 30–50 THB in the nearby village. Food quality doesn’t come close to matching the markup. The spa was the most expensive I tried in Thailand and easily the worst. The location is stunning, and the property has real potential — but until the service and value catch up, I wouldn’t recommend it

We moved to Santhiya KPG after staying in Santhiya Yao Yai. Comparing the two, we enjoyed Yao Yai more. However, KPG location is still lovely. Staff are very kind, hotel is very clean, room service and all other services are amazing. Breakfast buffet was great. There is free gym, Muay Thai classes and yoga classes which is also great to have. Staff is very professional and from pick up to drop off, cleaning to activities, everything is planned very proffessionally and efficiently. It was impressive. Overall, we are very satisfied with Santhiya hotels including the KGP. We would also like to mention possible improvements. We booked the swim up room which we enjoyed throughly because the public room didn't feel as clean and bright as the swim up pool. Also, around the main pool and beach, there are lots of tiny flies that eat your fresh wounds / mosquito bites. They swarm your wounds. Even the mosquito repellent on the wounds doesn't help. And about the food, well, in our humble opinion, this is the main improvement they need in Santhiya hotels. The menu looks amazing. But the preparation needs improvements. I think they would benefit from a training from an international chef. The Thai dishes are good enough but international dishes are very poorly prepared. We had squids and a Phuket lobster. Considering the price tag, we expected a very tasty dinner night. However, both dishes were overcooked and stale because the sauce was not prepared well and they were way overcooked. Lamb chops were low quality and smelled like a male sheep instead of lamb meat. Hamburger patties felt like premade patties. Beef in massaman curry was undercooked so it was chewy. And so on. Finally, the location is a beautiful place. It has its own beautiful beach, located in perfectly green hills. But if you want to go see the island and experience the beautiful cafes of KPG, you need to ride ~30 minutes on the bike one way to join the rest of the island life. Otherwise you are limited to the resort area and the little tourist street with some restaurants and massage parlours etc. just next to the resort.

TL;DR: Booked a "Sea View Pool Villa Plus" but was given a room with no direct sea view. Management refused to acknowledge this blatant deception, denied a refund, and exploited the resort's isolated location. After an exhausting 2-hour argument, we were forced to pay an extra fee just to get a proper room because we were traveling with two young children. To make it worse, after moving us, they demanded we sign a legal waiver to cover up the situation, which I flatly refused. Full Review: I booked a "Sea View Pool Villa Plus" at Santhiya Koh Phangan, expecting exactly what was advertised on their website. Unfortunately, the reality was a complete disappointment. We were given a villa with NO direct sea view. I have attached both the photo from the hotel's website and the actual photo I took from our room—judge for yourselves. While the regular staff openly admitted that the room lacked the promised view, the management’s handling of the situation was unacceptable. At first, front desk staff tried to brush us off by claiming the manager was on a "day off" and that nothing could be done. When we pushed back, the manager only answered via phone, and spent two hours completely denying the issue under the excuse that it falls under the "same room category." When we realized we were being misled, we asked to cancel the booking and get a refund, but they completely refused. Because this resort is extremely isolated and very difficult to leave, we felt trapped, knowing we had nowhere else to go. To make matters worse, their initial "solutions" were insulting. They told us we could either wait two nights and then pack up and move to a sea-view room, or pay an outrageous upgrade fee on the spot. Shockingly, the fee they demanded was even higher than the price difference listed on their own website! Only after I pointed out this ridiculous absurdity, the manager lowered the fee to match the website's original price difference. In the end, we had no choice. After a grueling two-hour argument with the manager, it was already evening, and we were there with our two young daughters. We felt completely extorted, so we paid the extra money just to get actual sea-view room we should have received in the first place. To top it all off, right after we finally moved into the new room, management actually approached us and demanded that I sign a legal waiver to absolve them of liability and silence me. Of course, I flatly refused to sign it. This desperate demand—coming after they already took our money—proved beyond any doubt that they knew they were completely in the wrong and were trying to cover up their deception. I highly recommend staying far away from this hotel unless you want to be misled, stressed, and taken advantage of by a dishonest management team.

Amazing stay! Would recommend. Pros: Service was amazing! Such friendly and welcoming staff Breakfast was amazing! Most things exceeded my expectations Cons: - Room (pool suite) had a strong mold or mildew smell once the candle heating the oil died out. - The restaurants have a 10% service fee. I'd much rather the price of the items be increased and the additional fee removed. At least they do make the fee very clear on each item. I typically consider service fees as tip and don't leave tip in these scenarios. Neutral: Similar to many other resorts with villas, you'll get around by shuttle which includes many hills. If this isn't what you're okay with. This resort isn't for you.
