We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind — nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed in Room 867 with a private pool, which was stunning, spacious, and beautifully maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and fully enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. A very special mention must go to Sumon, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He went out of his way to help us at every opportunity, always ensuring everything was perfect and that we felt completely looked after. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay extra special. Overall, the resort exceeded all our expectations. The service, accommodation, and atmosphere were exceptional, and it is staff members like Sumon who truly make this resort stand out. We leave with incredible memories and hope to return again in the future.

Our holiday in the Maldives was unforgettable, and the exceptional staff made it even more special. Zeek gave us the warmest welcome, and Jaavid and Suhana ensured every meal in the dining room was perfect. Kamrul and Samitha at the Beech Bar created a relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service, while Uzzal and Aramez kept our room spotless and comfortable. Evenings at the Li Bar / Long Island were a delight thanks to Jawad and Hasa, who always greeted us with smiles and fantastic drinks. Their dedication and friendliness made our stay truly remarkable. Real 5-Star Experience We stayed for 8 days with my wife in a Beach Villa at The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi and it was truly a real five-star experience from start to finish. For us, the Beach Villa is the best accommodation option. It provides much more privacy than other room types, and the private beach right in front adds a wonderful sense of exclusivity and tranquility. Another very important advantage of this resort is that the atoll has its own house reef. You can simply swim directly from the beach and enjoy the marine life without needing to take a boat somewhere else. During our stay we were able to see plenty of underwater wildlife just by snorkeling around the island, which made the experience even more special. Transportation Everything was perfectly organised by the resort. Their representative was waiting for us immediately at the international arrivals exit in Malé, helped us with our luggage, checked us in for the domestic flight, and escorted us to the airport lounge while we waited for departure. Upon arrival at Kooddoo Airport, the resort team was again waiting for us. After a very short speedboat transfer to the resort, we arrived at the jetty and our luggage appeared directly in our room. The departure experience was just as flawless — from the wake-up call, luggage collection, transfers, and domestic flight arrangements all the way to the final airport departure. Everything was smooth, professional, and perfectly coordinated. Accommodation The accommodation itself was absolutely stunning. It is extremely spacious with: a large separate living area a comfortable bedroom a very large bathroom with both indoor and outdoor shower a bathtub and beautiful views toward the beach and ocean. The deck and private beach area were definitely the highlights. Waking up every morning and stepping directly onto the sand is something truly special. Dining We tried all dining options on both islands. This included: the Dining Room beach and grill restaurants themed restaurants such as Italian, French and Chinese Every single experience was excellent. Whether it was buffet or à la carte, the food was always fantastically prepared with a wide variety of options. Even during an 8-day stay, there was enough variety in the menus to keep dining interesting every day. Bars The bars were also outstanding. The bartenders were highly experienced and able to prepare any cocktail you can imagine. Service was always friendly, professional, and very attentive. Activities We joined two excursions: Sunset dolphin trip Snorkeling Both were very enjoyable and well organised, and they added a great extra experience during our stay. Housekeeping A very warm and special thank you to our housekeeper Joyhal. He truly went above and beyond every day to make our stay comfortable and perfect. His attention to detail, care for the room, and positive attitude made a real difference in our experience. Our stay at The Residence Maldives at Falhumaafushi was simply exceptional. Everything — from transportation, accommodation, dining, activities, and service — was handled at a truly five-star level. We would highly recommend this resort and would happily return again.

We stayed here for 16 nights and booked all inclusive through Voyage Prive. Firstly and most importantly, this is truly a 5* hotel. We have stayed at many that purport to be, but sadly are not, so were delighted that this was indeed a 5* hotel. We opted for a beach villa – Room 200 – which was perfectly located for the beach bar and main Dining Room. It is also on the side of the island for the most amazing sun rises. The room is spacious with a separate lounge area, large bedroom with super comfy bed & pillows, two wardrobes and a smart TV. There’s a mini bar that is restocked daily free of charge. There is also a Nespresso machine. The bathroom has his ‘n’ hers sinks with a large roll top bath – we opened the doors each evening and listened to the waves whilst having a bath – absolute bliss! There is also an indoor and outdoor shower. The hotel is over two resorts – Digurah and Falhumafuushi. We stayed on the latter which appears to be the more refined of the two. You can visit the restaurants over both islands, although on all inclusive you are only allowed one visit to the Chinese and the French restaurants. The main Dining Room at Digurah has more of a ‘dining hall’ feel, whereas the Dining Room on Falhumafuushi is more like a restaurant, cosy and more intimate. The food at both is very good indeed and changed each evening. There is an extensive choice of still and sparkling wines – over 25 and there are named brand spirits at the bar. The cocktail list is extensive and the drinks themselves wouldn’t be out of place in a London 5* hotel. The staff are all a delight and so friendly and helpful. Two worthy of special mention were Jehad and Ishan – both helped to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. This was our fourth visit to The Maldives, our first time at The Residence and the house reef was incredible and by far the best we have seen. We saw numerous turtles every snorkelling trip, with our most sightings being 29! We also saw rays, lots of sharks and so many different fish. We can highly recommend the Dolphin Sun Set Cruise – this was a magical experience with dolphins swimming alongside the boat and Spinner Dolphins doing their acrobatics! The journey to the hotel involved a domestic flight from Male to Kooddoo and then short speed boat transfer to the hotel. Check the timings with your agent as to when you land at Male and when your domestic flight is, as we were stuck at Male for 7 ½ hours unnecessarily so! Our only feedback for the hotel – it’s not a criticism per se – is that there are not enough seats at the beach bar. With such a stunning view of the sun setting, why not have tables & chairs on the beach so that you can enjoy your drinks whilst watching the sun set? Yes there are tables & chairs but these are all allocated to the Beach Restaurant.

We had the best family vacation ever in Maldives and it was largely due to the Residence. From the time we arrived, we were greeted warmly and cannot fault the service from each staff member. To the amazing buggy drivers, the waiters at the various restaurants who were always full of suggestions, the bartenders, reception staff, wonderful housekeeping personnel and everyone that was just so polite answering our many questions and attending to our needs - thank you for making our vacation one that we will remember forever. Amazing food, atmosphere, positive vibe all made for a wonderful relaxing time. We will definitely be back!
