We were quite disappointed with our stay, especially considering the price and the category of the hotel. We had to wait from 7:30 to 12:30 to take the plane, which meant losing almost half a day just to arrive. We understand the hotel is far from Malé, but having so few transfer options does not feel appropriate for a luxury hotel. The lack of activities and atmosphere was also disappointing. There was no DJ or evening entertainment because we were told the DJ was on holiday, and no alternative was offered. After dinner, there was nowhere with music or any real atmosphere to enjoy the evening. Due to bad weather, included activities such as paddle surf and kayak were not available, which we understand for safety reasons, but no alternative activities were provided. If the weather is bad, there is very little to do, and many of the other activities felt limited or overpriced. We also felt that the all inclusive concept was misleading. Snacks between meals were charged separately, and many dishes had supplements, so it felt more like full board with drinks than a true all inclusive experience. On a positive note, the staff were excellent throughout our stay, always kind, attentive and helpful. Overall, the experience did not live up to what was promised or to what we expected from a hotel of this level. We felt disappointed and would not return or recommend it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind — nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed in Room 867 with a private pool, which was stunning, spacious, and beautifully maintained. It was the perfect place to relax and fully enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. A very special mention must go to Sumon, who truly made our stay unforgettable. He went out of his way to help us at every opportunity, always ensuring everything was perfect and that we felt completely looked after. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay extra special. Overall, the resort exceeded all our expectations. The service, accommodation, and atmosphere were exceptional, and it is staff members like Sumon who truly make this resort stand out. We leave with incredible memories and hope to return again in the future.

Probably the best holiday we have ever been on thanks to The Residence Maldives! From the point of landing at Male International Airport, everything was handled by the staff members to assisting with check-in at the domestic flight terminal, chaperoning us to the lounge to relax before boarding the island flight, handling our luggage to the speedboat transfer and us not having to lift anything or seeing the suitcases until we arrived in our villa! Check in was smooth, we had a personal guide informing us of the amenities on site on both the islands as well as our premium package including a couple of breakfast dine-in options. The staff are incredibly friendly throughout, even when non on their shift, they greet you with a smile, attentive which all added to our incredible experience. I'd highly recommend booking with The Residence if you're considering the Maldives as they have certainly set the standard! The onside a-la-carte restaurants were amazing, the quality and authentic flavours were really impressive! A big thank you to the team, you have truly made the holiday memorable!

We had an excellent 8 night stay. The room was comfortable and very clean, the island itself (alongside Dhigurah) is beautiful with incredible starry sky and house reef. All facilities were clean and food was consistently excellent, as were the cocktails and soft drinks. We always received great, attentive service: particularly, we really felt welcomed by the following and they are real assets to the residence: Ishan, Isuru and Jahed mostly at the sunset grill/beach bar, and Hasan and Jaowad at Long Island. Thank you all!
