Wooow, serenity, healing, service on another level, I mentioned I didn’t like the Oatmilk brand at the Buffet, the next day they changed it. We loved every dish we ate. The buffet spoils you with immense variety. The Mocktails are incredible and bursting with flavour and freshness, special mention to Bilal his concoctions. I trusted all the staff with my drinks and ordering and just said “surprise me”, they never disappointed. I did a painting, special thanks to Hridoy Khan who was a great teacher and made a memorable clip. Thanks to Yusuf, Shaq, Mohammed, Hamza and Shan for bring so welcoming. The Chefs were also brilliant and visited my table.

Our stay at The Standard Maldives was absolutely unforgettable. This is truly a slice of paradise. The crystal-clear turquoise water, the soft white sand beach, and the breathtaking sunsets create a picture-perfect setting that feels almost unreal. The service was exceptional from the very first moment. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, always making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and valued. The food was outstanding — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I've visited the maldives multiple times and stayed in many resorts. I think the standard excels at how they take care of their guests. We may have been lucky though, but the great people who looked after us made our stay really memorable. From poula at the reception, who never said no to any helps we may need. Ziyan at onda restaurant. hasan who brought us at least 10 coffees each morning and always with a smile. Dulal who insisted that we never had enough to drink during happy hours. Ayu, our hostess at dinner. And too many others to mention. A great team there really. The hotel sits on a beautiful island, with beautiful beaches and wonderful water to swim in. I really think though that the hotel itself falls short of my expectation of the brand. I've visted several standard hotels before and I just felt that this branch in the maldives was a little below the standard, pun intended. The over water room felt so devoid of life, sparsely decorated and too tightly packed to each other. The gym was pretty sad and so was the one main pool. I guess I was expecting something a bit more out of the ordinary for a hotel whose brand aimed to turn the industry upside down. Still all in all, I had a memorable stay and a wonderful time.

We had the opportunity to celebrate NYE there and it was wonderful experience. The island and rooms were picturesque. We had an over water villa and it was spacious enough for our family of 5. It was me and my husband with our 3 small children and we all enjoyed the beach, the pools, the aquatic life and fishes, the food, and the NYE party and fireworks 🎆. All of the workers were very kind and welcoming. Our daughter has severe gluten allergy and also does not eat meat. They had a variety of options for her to choose from that she actually enjoyed. She especially loved the gluten free pizza. Don’t sleep on The Standard if you are looking; look no further. It was a wonderful experience from the arrival at the airport, the seaplane ride, the boat ride to the resort, and the welcome greeting from staff. It was all really nice and worth every penny!
