We spent a one week family vacation in May 2026. We had a beautiful villa that actually we were kindly upgraded, with a stunning view and a small private pool on the terrace. Simply exceptionally lovely. Villa and rooms were very clean and spacious. Food and restaurants are very good. Drinks are all authentic nothing of dubious sort. We needed to take the shuttle to bring us from the Villa to the beach and restaurant area because our Villa was on the top of the hill, but that was no problem. It’s always very few minutes of waiting in the beautiful scenery either way. Staff are amazing, all of them, very especially the housekeeper of our Villa Clara Prosper, she is really exceptional and very attentive to any request from any person in the family. She kept everywhere spotless clean, and all supplies needed were available. The only observation I have is that mosquito proofing of the Villa is not up to standards. There are large gaps underneath and around doors Leading to the terrace. I mean very large gaps. When we mention that they immediately brought maintenance to try to fill in the gaps, but they wouldn’t be able to do it because the carpentry left indeed huge gaps. We filled these gaps with towels and we kept the rooms quite cool with Air Condition and I should say we didn’t have a single mosquito bite inside the rooms. But mosquito proofing of the villas is definitely something that this beautiful resort Managment should look into it. It was definitely a very beautiful vacation and we all came back home safely and happy with lovely memories of a lovely place.

Overall, we’ve enjoyed our stay and there are certainly many things to like about this resort. The property is beautiful, our room is very nice, and the service in the nicer restaurants has generally been better. There are also plenty of staff members throughout the resort. That said, the biggest area for improvement is definitely service and consistency. Something as simple as getting a cup of coffee at the restaurant can be surprisingly difficult and inconsistent. At times, there seem to be plenty of employees around, but more socializing among staff than actively checking on or assisting guests. We’ve noticed something similar at the beach. While some of the beach attendants are very helpful, there have been several occasions where the male attendants seem much quicker and more attentive to helping younger women, while other guests are left waiting or have to seek out assistance themselves. Service should feel equally attentive to everyone. Housekeeping has also been inconsistent. Our room itself is comfortable and nicely appointed, but one day it was cleaned and we were left with no bath towels or hand towels at all—just a bath mat and two washcloths. These are small things individually, but they add up, especially at a resort where you expect a certain level of service. The resort has a lot going for it, and we are enjoying many aspects of our stay. However, there seems to be a disconnect between the number of employees on property and the actual level of guest service being delivered. With better attention to consistency, responsiveness, and guest needs, this could be a much stronger overall experience.

Windjammer was an amazing destination for our family vacation! We went with 4 adults, 2 teens, and 2 preschoolers, and everyone had an incredible experience. The Villa was perfect for hosting everyone - imagine renting an air b&b at an all inclusive. The resort feels small and intimate, with everything within walking distance of the front lobby. It's kid friendly, but not necessarily kid focused (exactly what we were looking for). Staff were amazing, especially our butler for the week, Marcus! Restaurants had a little something for everyone, our favorite was Papa Don's!

Going to keep this pretty simple for fellow travelers, as a review like this would have been quite useful for us when we were doing our research: St Lucia was a nice way to get out of the frigid winter and we enjoyed our time there. While the beach at this resort is beautiful and the service is friendly, I would be remiss if I didn’t call out that this resort simply does not fit the standard of a “5 star hotel”, which is what we thought we were booking when we reserved it coming from overseas. We didn’t let it damper our weekend, but having been fortunate enough to experience five star hotels all over the world, our expectations were very much let down when considering this resort in that context. If you’re seeking a solid 4 star hotel, particularly for a young family, then proceed and you’ll have a nice holiday. If you’re seeking a 5 star hotel that aligns with your prior experiences, particularly for a young couple or empty nester, I’d suggest exploring alternatives.

My husband and I stayed at the Windjammer for our Honeymoon this past week! Honestly 5 stars isn’t enough for the amazing experience that we had! Upon arrival, we were greeted with all smiles and the upmost hospitality. They graciously gave us a complimentary upgrade to a 1-bedroom villa because it was our honeymoon (how amazing is that!). Our villa was beautiful, spacious and the view was priceless. Throughout our stay, all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food and beverages were very tasty at all of the resort restaurants. We have been telling all of our friends and family that this is THEE resort to stay at in St. Lucia. We will absolutely be back in the near future.
