Sandals Halcyon has the potential to be a true 5-star resort, and in many ways it already shines—but a few service issues held it back from being the perfect vacation for us. To start with the positives: The rooms are fantastic—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pools are great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is genuinely outstanding at every restaurant we tried. When the staff are nice, they are really nice, and those interactions absolutely made parts of our stay wonderful. However, the beginning of our trip wasn’t as enjoyable as it could have been due to a few staff members who were not friendly or welcoming. A small number of servers and, in particular, the night bartender were consistently rude—not just to us but to multiple guests we spoke with. This set a disappointing tone early on. Things did get better after a few days, but mostly because we learned which areas to avoid in order to steer clear of the poor service. I really hope management addresses this, especially the bartender in the evenings, because so many guests noticed the same issue. With consistently warm, friendly service, this resort would easily be 5 stars. On a brighter note, we highly recommend doing the boat excursion to the mud bath, waterfall, and snorkeling with Skittles, who you’ll find right on the beach—an amazing experience and absolutely worth it. We also visited the other Sandals properties. The Grand was lovely, and while we also checked out La Toc, we honestly felt Halcyon was nicer overall. Despite the service hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and truly believe Sandals Halcyon could be exceptional with just a bit more focus on consistent hospitality.

A truly wonderful holiday. Our first trip to St Lucia and first Sandals experience. Staff wonderful, evening meals wonderful and a great variety of restaurants across the 3 Sandals hotels in the area-all accessible via the free shuttle bus. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and a relatively small hotel compared to the other 2. Beach and water sports facilities really good. Not complaints but a long windy trip from the airport (about 90 minutes), shower in our room was over the bath ( we were aware when booking), lack of variety of fruit for breakfast and limited salad options at lunch-no tomatoes, onions or coleslaws . Would have been nice to have a cold meat or fish selection to go with the salads. Overall wouldn’t hesitate to return and have already booked another Sandals holiday using the discount scheme available at the hotel.

The resort and excursions were breathtaking and perfect but the people are what made this trip for us. Samani, who did our orientation, and Jeanny, who helped us plan our excursions at island routes, were just so special. Thank you for your incredible hospitality, attitude and for being awesome new friends to my wife. My wife loves to make new friends and learn new things and every single staff member always had the time to answer my wife’s questions and be incredibly fun and hospitable while they. Every bartender, housekeeper and server was just awesome and will be the reason we will come back!

Writing this midway of our vacation and we just love it here! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. So many times they remember our name when there are so many people! A very nice personal touch! This is one of the smallest Sandals but that is something we are loving about the resort! Even though we were told the resort is completely booked we never have any problems getting chairs by the pool or on the beach and the pools are almost empty. The grounds are so beautifully kept. We just love it here!❤️❤️❤️

We had a wonderful time in sandals halcyon and I would definitely recommend the butler suites. Ajay, Shervone and Willard were amazing Butler’s anticipating our every need in fact, the entire resort staff seemed to be very attentive and like we were their very first priority. It seems like everyone at the resort knew how we took our coffee by the time we departed. Natalie put together a very romantic evening for us on the beach. Maria was an exceptional part of our trip, helping us with our scuba diving and snorkeling adventures. Celine, the fabulous masseuse helped us to feel very welcome and seen on our departure day. I will miss them all dearly.
