Banyan Tree exceeded every expectation. The massages alone deserve their own five stars — they were so incredible that we ended up going three days in a row. Each session was deeply relaxing, perfectly tailored, and truly some of the best treatments we’ve ever experienced. If you only have one day, I’d recommend the Detox massage with Massy - post massage feeling zen and snatched. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Every team member was exceptionally accommodating, highly skilled, and attentive to even the smallest details. You can tell they genuinely care about guest comfort and take pride in what they do. From remembering preferences to anticipating needs before we even asked, the level of service was outstanding. We were the second highest villa on the resort which offered amazing views of Lamai! The wait for the buggies was inconsistent from what we read online! We didn’t have to wait 10-15 minutes for one, rarely would we have to 5 mins for one. This resort delivers not just luxury, but warmth, professionalism, and an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return and would recommend it without hesitation from a romantic getaway (or honeymoon) to intimate family vacation Banyan Tree delivers!

Cannot fault our stay at Banyan Tree. I wish I could come back regularly. The most beautiful villas and incredible amenities. The staff are so kind and helpful, especially Anna who was available anytime to answer our questions. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Pool and beach are beautiful. We also really enjoyed the activities offered by the resort, such as the aromatherapy workshop and yoga. The service anywhere on the property is consistently 5 stars. Highly highly highly recommend.

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in, we loved the calm, romantic vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

Make sure you go for a sea view villa, they are worth it. Super friendly staff, Jate and Chan were both great. Breakfast was lovely, private beach with free snorkelling and kayaking kit was a plus. Great spa too - we had lovely massages with Massy and Dao. Can’t wait to go back one day, highly recommended

This was a fantastic stay and exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location and property, villa was fantastic, and staff were attentive and wonderful. The spa is fantastic (thank you Tiara, Massy, Pang for excellent treatments) and the Rainforest hydrotherapy circuit is unique. We enjoyed the on site activities (thank you Bikram and Tong). Our villa host, Tak, was incredibly communicative and helped us arrange a full stay’s itinerary on the fly. And appreciated the attentiveness (and humor!) of staff like Eng and Ram at the pool and beach. We also appreciate the property shifted our stay dates due to some travel mishaps with no hassle. It was all in all incredible service and attention on top of a fantastic property. Highly recommend!
