Amazing birthday getaway! Although this was a solo retreat, I never felt alone. The entire hotel team took such wonderful care of me and made my birthday weekend truly unforgettable. A special thank you to Patricia, Cristobal and Vara at reception, who were always incredibly kind, professional and helpful. Their warmth and attention to detail made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my stay. As a birthday surprise, I received a room upgrade and found a lovely little birthday cake waiting for me in my room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made my celebration even more special. The spa also deserves special praise. It is beautifully designed, incredibly relaxing, and has everything you need to unwind and recharge. I spent some truly peaceful moments there. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate my birthday than spending the weekend at Barceló Illetas Albatros. Thank you to the entire team for making it so memorable – I will definitely be back!

Really great adults only hotel. Attentive and friendly staff. Clean and well-appointed room. We were greeted with a glass of cava on arrival, which was a nice touch. The staff called to make sure everything was ok with the room after about half an hour - another nice touch. Excellent buffet breakfast with great selection of who prepared hot and cold food. They even have bottles of cava out at breakfast, if that's your thing. Really great to have access to all the spa facilities included. Plenty of loungers around the pool. The staff were even kind enough to prepare some breakfast for us before we left as our flight home was very early. Would definitely recommend.

The room itself was good, comfortable beds and a great night's sleep. Shower is excellent. Nice sunny balcony. Will lose points though for the odd design of the sink area and lack of a "get ready area" as my wife put it. TV didn't work properly (netflix, youtube, casting etc not working despite reporting to maintenance). Overall it's a lovely hotel. Pool is great and the views and setting are perfect. I suspect we visited early in the season as it seemed the staff were struggling a little to get into a rhythm, needed to repeat orders multiple times etc but all very friendly and the pool service when ordered through the app is great. Probably nitpicking a little bit overall very positive and we had a lovely holiday

I fell in love with this hotel. Everything was just perfect. I had a room with jacuzzi on the terrace, super private and beautiful view. I had a lovely check in experience with Esther, the guest service. She was very friendly, gave all the information I needed and made me feel really welcomed. The food is very good, staff is friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi and indoor pool with perfect temperature to fully enjoy the experience. The area is beautiful, close to Palma and a spectacular Illetes beach. Recommend 100% and will come back for sure.

Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and clean. However, if you are looking for a quiet relaxing hotel experience and an area around the hotel to wander around, shop, get something to eat or drink, etc. in a charming location, this is not the hotel for you. We certainly accept that many of the issues we had cannot be helped by the hotel, and were the result of us not researching the hotel and its surroundings better before we booked. Positives: - Transfer to and from the hotel/airport was very smooth - Hotel is, as stated, beautiful - Our room had an incredible view - The breakfast buffet was wonderful - The bar staff, particularly Miguel, was very helpful and friendly - The staff as a whole was very friendly - It is a short taxi or bus ride into Palma for day trips Negatives: - The room was miserably warm. I set the thermostat to the lowest level, but the room never got below 24 Celsius, and the air conditioner was loud - The hotel also has a large conference center. This proved to be very loud during most of our stay. Our fault for not checking before, but a warning to those looking for peace and quiet - Throughout the stay, many of the guests were ridiculously loud -- more akin to a party/Palma/Arenal experience than peaceful and relaxing - The surrounding area has virtually nothing for wandering and shopping, so the hotel is only recommended if you plan on pretty much staying in the hotel the entire time - The taxi service can be sketchy due to local regional rules (taxis can only drive within certain regions). We ordered a taxi at the front desk for a dinner reservation. After an hour of waiting, we asked the front desk to cancel the order and ordered an Uber instead. More expensive, but they were there within a few minutes - The pool and lounge chairs are setup in a way that it is almost impossible to have shade for a good majority of the day. BRING SUNSCREEN! - While staff was friendly, bar service was very slow. It seemed like there were a lot of inexperienced newbies. - We ordered a “Balinese Bed” for a day based on the website. 150€ for the bed, champagne, and a nice plate of sushi. Issue was, the bed looked NOTHING like what is shown on the website (see picture comparison - the first picture is the website, the 2nd and 3rd picture are reality). The website shows a set of six lovely beds in front of all other lounge chairs, with white retractable curtains all the way around each bed. Reality, three beds with lounge chairs all the way around and a shade covering on top, but that’s it. Champagne and sushi were worth it but would not get it again based on how it looked.
