Very disappointing stay – nothing like the pictures We stayed at Barceló Ponent Beach and unfortunately left very disappointed. The hotel looks completely different online compared to what we experienced in person. The pictures are extremely misleading — especially when it comes to the pool, which is much, much smaller than it appears online. It honestly felt like catfishing. The cleanliness was one of the biggest problems. Our room was dirty, with stained floors, dirty pillows, and dirty walls. The ventilation was completely covered in dust, which was honestly one of the worst parts. The toilet flush also did not work properly. We also experienced problems with cleanliness around the hotel. There were dirty plates, and sometimes the plates were still wet and had stains on them. The pool area was also disappointing. The fight for pool loungers can get completely out of hand because there simply aren’t enough places for everyone. The pool area downstairs by the sea also smelled strongly of sewage, which was very unpleasant. The entire hotel often smelled strongly of chemicals, and the water in the bathroom smelled heavily of chlorine. The pool in the wellness area was also not clean. At the beginning of our stay, we received a VIP Guest Card stating that we could stay in our room until 3:00 PM on the day of departure. However, this was not honored. We were asked to leave the room earlier, and when we asked why, we were not given a proper explanation. The one positive thing we can say is that the entertainment staff were very good. They were friendly, energetic and did a great job entertaining the guests. Overall, we are very disappointed with our stay. The hotel did not live up to the expectations created by the pictures and information online, and the cleanliness and maintenance issues were simply not acceptable for us.

Our stay at Barceló Aguamarina has been absolutely wonderful, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! First of all, the staff are simply amazing — incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. Their genuine friendliness makes you feel comfortable and well taken care of from the very first moment. The housekeeping service deserves special recognition. The rooms are cleaned with exceptional attention to detail, and everything is absolutely spotless — even the floors are sparkling clean! The food at the buffet is genuinely delicious, with an impressive variety of dishes. What makes it particularly special is that guests from different countries, backgrounds, and cultures can easily find something they will enjoy. There is truly something for everyone! The view of the sea from our room is breathtaking, and the beds are wonderfully large and comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The bathroom is also exceptionally well equipped. Even if you forget to pack your basic toiletries, slippers, or essentials such as a toothbrush, the hotel has thoughtfully provided everything you might need. You can really see how much care and attention goes into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Barceló to anyone visiting Mallorca. A fantastic hotel, wonderful people, delicious food, and beautiful views. We couldn’t be happier with our experience! ❤️

We chose to stay in this hotel based off a previous Barcelo stay, and we are quite disappointed! The buffet food is hit & miss! We had no option to do only b&b, had to do half board! Staff are lovely however some bash their way around the restaurant. We have a family room overlooking the beach which is fab, room is modern. However, the overhead shower head doesn’t work.The AC in the rooms is basically non existent it’s a set function you can’t control, we had to ask for a fan. You rent your Towels for the pool, we got 2 newer ones and two older ones with holes in them, you have to pay a €5 deposit & a €2 cleaning fee if you need to change them! The lifts take a while to arrive , we’ve had to carry the buggy down the stairs on most trips. The Location of the hotel is great, it’s a short walk into the main town. The hotel has access to a stunning beach, ideal for babies, really calm with no waves.

I spent nine days at this hotel and really enjoyed my stay! The food was very good, with a great variety for both breakfast and dinner. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, with a beautiful bay nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and a special thank you to the animation team for their energy, enthusiasm, and great entertainment. Overall, I had a wonderful holiday and would happily recommend this hotel!

Amazing stay, the hotel is lovely the location is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were nice and clean the food was really tasty and always hot the cocktails were superb. The entertainment team were really good through the day and at night. I would come again. The overall hotel was clean the bathrooms around the hotel especially they were very clean, yes the hotel could do with an upgrade in terms of looking more modern but overall it’s lovely.
