We really enjoyed our stay at the Castello Boutique Resort and Spa for our honeymoon. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast (stayed on a B&B basis). We had a room with a hot tub which was great and the view of the mountains and the cover offered by the palm trees was fantastic. The sky was lovely and dark and we could star gaze at night, seeing an occasional shooting star. We always managed to get sunbeds at whatever time of day we came to the pool area. There was no issue with people reserving sunbeds. Bar staff were friendly and the cocktails were good but the bar area was very quiet in an evening so if you want lively, this may not be the hotel for you. The spa is excellent. Konstantina is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The staff providing treatments are exceptionally good. I have had massages at many spas and hotels in the past and the Azoria massage was without doubt the best I have ever had. A real treat. The hotel is in walking distance of several fantastic bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend Amelia, the Cactus Bar and Ormos. If you don't want to walk along the road, cross over between the Castello village and suites and walk down the slope and along the front. It's a lovely waterfront walk and the sunsets on the harbour wall are spectacular.

We concluded that this was a 4 out of 5 - just. Service was good in that the staff tried hard but they were chaotic verging on laughable, especially in the restaurant. Food was okay but repetitive (we were half board) and we ate at other restaurants a couple of times to get some variety. Booking a gym which was rarely used seemed overly bureaucratic and there were hints of that bureaucracy elsewhere. Ditto paying for the sauna and the spa prices were very high - we didn’t use it at all. The road outside the hotel is frankly dangerous with cars, buses and pedestrians sharing this route into and out of the village. Rooms were good although the glass banister was uneven and my wife caught her finger in the gap between pains whose could have been nasty. Room cleaning service was excellent and the toiletries in the room were good too. Ditto towels and dressing gowns and the showers and other room details were excellent. The hotel is very clean and the pool area well maintained. Overall a good experience but a few things to focus on to professionalise the hotel and to make it truly 5 star such as providing maps, tourist advice and a focus on enabling guests to get the most out of out of their holiday. We asked more than one member of staff about local points of interest, buses etc and all either stated “we don’t know we’ve just arrived too” or didn’t provide anything meaningful. The hotel reception area was similarly sparse on information.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! A beautiful and spacious boutique hotel, located in a peaceful and quiet area. The rooms have lovely sea views, and the entire atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. The service was excellent — the staff were incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. Every request we had was answered immediately, always with a smile and a genuine willingness to help. The dinners were delicious, beautifully prepared and clearly made with great care. We truly enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the warm hospitality. Highly recommended! Shelly&David Adato

An excellent hotel, and amazing staff, and service like I have never seen anywhere else. I will definitely return! I want to especially praise Katerina, who cared for and helped me during my stay, and also Diana, the spa manager, for the perfect massage we had. Thank you for everything i hope to come back again soon.

On the whole a lovely hotel Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea. A good size and comfortable beds, Breakfast was plentiful Only quibble there was the plates were cold and cooked food went cold very quickly Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the guy in charge, he was never still.also thankyou to Aisha a lovely little waitress ,she was a delight. We do have a complaint We were there 9 nights, bedding and towels were not changed, nor cups and glassware replaced We did not like to complain as staff looked extremely busy Other than that. We liked the hotel Thankyou
