I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Corfu Holiday Palace which was originally built as a Hilton hotel. I loved the modern brutalist interior, the view of the sea from the lobby was designed intentionally to draw your eyes to the sea, dramatised by the polished marble floor and columns. I thought the rooms were simple but comfortable, I got the view of the airstrip which was cool, the other side was the seaview. I was happy with that. There was a minor drip coming from the ac unit but besides that, happy with the room, room cleaning was done within a good time each day. Food was pretty good, greek night was my favourite, there was also Italian and BBQ night, and was surprised by how many people were present in mid October. Beach was nice, there was a lift down to the beach or a short walk of 5 mins. Comfortable, relaxing and the sea was nice. Lots of small and mid sized silvery seabass in the sea and some crabs, shows that the quality of the sea ecosystem is good there.

Late in the season so unfortunately only the main restaurant is open. The restaurant is run buffet style and very busy. The food is generally good but not of a five star standard. Deserts are particularly disappointing and feature synthetic creams and poorly presented mass produced cakes. Breakfast is wholesome but lacking in five star quality. The hotel is beautifulifully placed for sea views and the pool area is fine. Although, the indoor pool and environs are in need of refurbishment. Unheated. Our room is nicely decorated but the toilet smells of dirty drains and the toilet water is set at a continuous trickle. As is the case in most hotels my wife's allium INTOLERANCE was reported to the head waiter who showed a fleeting interest in being supportive or helpful (busy restaurant) so although we are half board we shall eat elsewhere on a number of occasions. Captain George nearby has an empathetic chef. The grounds could be a real asset if paths and gardens were maintained. The staff are lovely, the main entrance and reception are impressive and there is a lively nightlife. Fascinating watching aircraft land at the nearby airport and the noise is not a problem. A local bus is nearby to access Corfu Town.

We stayed at this hotel, and while it definitely has its strong points, the overall structure and some of the services do not reflect a 5-star luxury standard, showing too many signs of aging. The Superior rooms we stayed in have been modernized, and the in-room amenities were complete and functional. On the downside, the bathroom clearly feels its age. Generally speaking, the hotel retains an outdated 1980s layout with very dated interiors. A major negative note goes to the -2 floor, where the smell of mold was incredibly strong and unbearable. The front desk staff was precise, professional, and fast. However, the general housekeeping service was insufficient, particularly in the common areas. For instance, plates and glasses from room service were left abandoned in the hallways outside the rooms for two whole days. The breakfast is unfortunately the real sore point of the property. It is absolutely not adequate for a 5-star hotel, feeling more like a decent 3-star instead. The products are of medium-low quality and premium options are completely missing (such as salmon/fish, or barista coffee drinks prepared fresh on request). On the other hand, the hotel bar is very nice, offering a proper and well-selected wine list. The pool area is excellent, well-maintained, and definitely one of the best highlights of the entire property for relaxing. In summary, the strategic location and the pool area save the stay, but to maintain a 5-star rating, much more attention to detail, better cleanliness, and a significant upgrade to the dining options are sorely needed.

We had the pleasure of visiting both the à la carte restaurant and the pool restaurant, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a truly magnificent view, which sets the perfect atmosphere from the very beginning. We started our visit with coffee at La Veranda Restaurant, where we were warmly welcomed. A special thank you to Thodoris for his excellent service and professionalism, he really stood out. All staff members in the pool restaurant were exceptionally polite, attentive, and professional, making us feel well taken care of throughout our stay. The service was prompt and efficient, which added to the overall positive experience. The food was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients. We especially recommend the beef tenderloin. It was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The cocktails were also impressive, particularly the CHP Rose with pink gin and mastiha, which had a unique and refreshing taste. Last but not least, a big thank you to the F&B manager, Harrys, for his outstanding hospitality. He was incredibly kind, took the time to show us around, and made sure our lunch experience was absolutely top-notch. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

We stayed for one night as our flight was cancelled, the room was disappointing for a 5 star hotel, tired and dated albeit clean, the shower was a fixed unit which directed water over the top of you which meant you had to stand by the opening causing flooding all over the bathroom. The toilet water was running all night, others were reporting maintenance issues at reception as we were leaving. The bed however was really comfortable and the pillows like clouds. Breakfast was an average spread, we arrived early to eat as we needed to check out early and all of the hot food was already luke warm, the staff seemed totally disinterested. If I had a week of this for the price of the room, I would not be very happy. Commendation to the night reception who dealt with our 1.30am arrival, he was super helpful and had a great sense of humour and for the transfer driver who was very friendly and professional.
