My wife and I stayed at the Elba Sunset Hotel to celebrate Valentine's Day, and from the moment we arrived, we were absolutely mind-blown. The aesthetics and genuine beauty of this property are spectacular, and that beautiful atmosphere is only further complemented by the outstanding service provided by the entire staff. A huge standout for us was the food. Normally, we like to venture out and try different local spots in the mornings, but we didn't feel the need to this time around. The breakfast here is exceptional. It was completely delicious, and they changed parts of the menu from one day to the next, which meant our palates were always satisfied. The spa facilities also looked incredible. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to use them as they were completely booked out during our stay—a true testament to how popular and high-quality they are! I highly recommend booking your spa time prior to arrival so you don't miss out. We want to extend a massive thank you to the hotel and the whole team for making our special getaway so perfect. Honestly, the only "negative" thing I can say about the Elba Sunset is its official 4-star rating. In my opinion, this is definitively a 5-star hotel in every single way. We would recommend this hotel to everyone!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the reception staff – Jorge and Viktoryia – they are true professionals in their field, friendly, attentive, and responsive. These people showed concern for my situation and not only helped me resolve it, but also did everything possible to ensure. I had a wonderful time at your magnificent hotel. My stay at your hotel left me with so many pleasant memories that I plan to return this fall! (Although I hadn't planned to before.) I will also recommend the hotel to all my friends. It's a shame it's impossible to give 10 stars – 5 stars is too few for such a staff and hotel!

Although the hotel itself is clean and the reception staff are genuinely lovely and welcoming, unfortunately we would not recommend staying here. We stayed previously and had a much better experience, however this time it simply was not worth it. The biggest issue was the food. Dinner service opens at 18:30, yet by 18:39 they were still setting up and much of the food being served was already cold. On one evening we were served raw meat, as were several other guests, and it all had to be sent back. This is completely unacceptable from a food safety perspective. We were offered a complimentary late check-out, which we appreciated. However, before our 10:45pm flight (on a Sunday, when many airport facilities are closed), we simply wanted a small salad to eat beforehand and were told it would cost €50 for the two of us. Given the standard and temperature of the food throughout the week, this felt excessive and not good value — especially knowing there are very limited alternative food options locally. When we raised concerns, the issues were attributed to it being “out of season.” However, in our view, a quieter hotel should mean higher standards, not lower ones. With fewer guests, service and food quality should be easier to manage and closer to 10/10. If anything, during high season issues may go unnoticed due to volume, but in an almost empty hotel, basic standards should be consistently met. There also appeared to be ongoing issues with organisation and staffing. The restaurant manager seemed to take feedback personally when we calmly mentioned that the food was not worth the price. The overall food selection was very basic, and breakfast was below standard. While the omelette itself tasted good, there were clear cross-contamination concerns: the same bowl was used for different ingredients including tuna and bacon, and the same utensils were used interchangeably between fish and meat without proper separation. Additionally, the atmosphere this year was disappointing. There was a large fight one evening that required police attendance, which significantly disturbed our night. On another occasion, guests were blasting loud music, and while staff intervened, the manner in which it was handled was unprofessional. Throughout the week, cups and glasses were regularly left around the pool area and not cleared promptly, which added to the feeling of being understaffed and poorly managed. Overall, although the property is clean and reception staff are kind and helpful, the decline in food quality, service standards, organisation and guest atmosphere means we would not return or recommend this hotel. A beautiful hotel with really friendly staff, made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Was amazing walking up with a view of the sea and island every morning. The food at the hotel restaurant was incredible. This was our first time staying here and we will definitely be back.

I loved my stay at this hotel—honestly one of the best. I don’t understand how it’s not rated five stars. Check-in was so easy and quick, and Pere at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, especially considering it was midnight when I arrived. The room was stunning, with a beautiful view overlooking the sea and the island. It was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The service throughout my stay was outstanding. Breakfast was amazing, and the location is perfect—just a 7-minute walk to a gorgeous beach with plenty of nearby shops for food and drinks. The whole place felt peaceful and tranquil. I’ll definitely be coming back.
