Beautiful hotel, on the beach. The hotel was quite quiet in June, such a good time to go, we had one of the pools practically to ourselves. The beaches are small but plenty of sunbeds. It's a very classy hotel. No music by the pool, such a peaceful place, just the sounds of the waves gently lapping. Ask at reception for the 'golf buggy', they'll pick you up and take you to the other beach for scuba diving / beach/bar/ speedboat hire etc. Buffet food has plenty of variety, all fresh food, nothing processed. Reception stall are extremely helpful, especially Maria, Eva & Socratis. We didn't walk the 20 minutes into Elounda village, a taxi is €8. Plenty of shops to buy water/juice etc as the hotel shop doesn't sell water. The Thalassa Restaurant is located on the sea and you receive €30 euro person towards your evening meal. Reception have the menu to check before booking. We would definitely return to this beautiful & peaceful hotel, with beautiful views and wonderful staff. Thank you

We have stayed at the Elounda bay palace twice, both times we were treated like royalty, The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable with quality bedding and towels. The bathrooms were lovely. The restaurant had an endless choice of food for both breakfast and dinner. The private beach and beach bar `The Sails` were outstanding. It is a short walk into Elounda where you can sit and have a drink by the crystal clear waters and feed the fish. I can recommend a trip to Spinalonga , the leper colony, very interesting.

We absolutely love this resort, which we recently visited for the third time. The location is beautiful, the service is personal and outstanding, and the rooms are very nice (although we would love to have a sea-view room one day. For some reason we always get the mountain-view ones, which are also nice but not sea view). The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly. This place has truly become our home away from home. Special thanks to the food staff. Our daughter has celiac, and they have always been super accommodating – both in the main dining hall and in the different restaurants – and have always prepareed her favorite food, making sure to avoid cross contamination. This is one of the main reasons we return to Elounda each time, and feel completely safe to eat her. Thank y'all, and especially Sophia, the amazing food manager! Looking forward to returning.

We spent 9 nights here in June 2026. We enjoyed everything about the hotel. Checkin was easy and individual, rooms where to a good to high standard. The pools and beach areas were well positioned for our accommodation and always had beds and shade available either with umbrellas or the garden planting. The bars and lunch restaurant were good if a little pricey. An example being a latte was €7 whilst elsewhere we could get the same for €4. Staff were happy for people to wander to the nearest supermarkets for supplies such as snacks and water. This was a 10-15 minutes walk. Breakfast was good standard and plentiful with standard fare. The omelette were made fresh and pancake station were popular Evening meal was good too and varied, we were able to choose different main courses each evening of our stay if we preferred. Children friendly meals were available and looked well made We walked in Elounda most days and enjoyed the sea front bars shops and restaurants reviewed elsewhere The day trip to Spinolonga was worth doing. Catch the KTel bus to Agios Nikolais for €2pp or a taking was €18
Tiberiu TITU
I booked Elounda Bay Palace expecting a genuine 5-star experience, but unfortunately the hotel did not come close to that standard. The room felt very old, poorly maintained, and heavily worn. There were damaged electrical sockets, chipped furniture, stained lampshades, scratched shower surfaces, visible limescale on the shower head, dusty equipment, damaged picture frames, and stains on the bed base. The overall impression was that maintenance has been neglected for a long time. Housekeeping was also disappointing. During a one-week stay, even basic items such as the room slippers were never replaced. The level of room service did not reflect what should be expected from a luxury hotel charging premium prices. The half-board dinner was another major disappointment. Rather than showcasing Greek cuisine and local specialties, the buffet felt more like a low-cost canteen with very limited authentic Greek dishes. Food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience were far below the standards expected from a five-star resort. The location is beautiful, but the property itself feels dated and in need of substantial renovation and better maintenance. At this price point, I expected luxury, attention to detail, and excellent service. Instead, the experience felt closer to an average three-star hotel. Highly not recommend Elounda Bay Palace!
