Hillside Beach Club is a truly exceptional resort that we have visited many times, both in the off-season and during peak summer with family. The private bay is spectacular, with beautiful beaches and crystal-clear turquoise water. The resort offers private adults-only areas for extra relaxation, as well as a fantastic range of water sports with modern equipment and boats. There is always plenty of entertainment and activities throughout the day for all ages. The dining experience is excellent, with a great choice of restaurants, whether enjoying the impressive buffet or the à la carte options. A perfect place for both relaxation and active holidays.

Fantastic. You will not be disappointed. It's the place to just shut out the world and truly relax. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely be back again. I could talk for hours about this place and I recommend it to everyone. The photos they use are not posed, they are REAL, this is what this place really is. I would suggest getting a cab from the airport rather than using the tour operators transfer, especially on the way in, arrive relaxed and enjoy your holiday. Don't forget to tell the tour operator at the airport so they dont hold up the coach waiting for you. ( they have to wait 1 hour)

We have stayed at Hillside several times before and had always appreciated the hotel, which is why this recent experience was especially disappointing. We received a written offer and based our decision on that offer. When we later changed our travel dates, we fully understood that the price might change due to the different period. However, the final confirmation came back with a significantly higher price, without a revised offer being shared with us beforehand. As a customer, I would have expected to be clearly informed about such an important price change before the booking was confirmed. Especially when a price changes considerably within such a short period of time, transparent communication is essential. What disappointed us most was not only the price difference itself, but the way the situation was handled afterwards. We felt there was zero flexibility, no willingness to find a fair middle ground, and no genuine effort to make us feel valued as returning guests. Another disappointing point was the refund process. They insisted that we proceed with the refund via bank transfer and told us that this would be the better option compared to a refund to the credit card. We followed that recommendation. However, in the end, even higher fees were deducted through the bank transfer. This was very frustrating, as we relied on the hotel’s guidance and would have expected clearer and more accurate advice on which refund method would actually be more suitable for the customer. What was also disappointing was that they did not acknowledge that their guidance had been misleading. For a hotel of this level, we expected a much more transparent, thoughtful and customer-oriented approach. The hotel itself is a place we have enjoyed in the past, but this experience left us with a very negative feeling. Unfortunately, we ended up cancelling the reservation.

Hillside Beach Resort – Beautiful resort, but families with toddlers should plan carefully We visited as a family with a 2-year-old. Here’s an honest breakdown. What we loved • Arrival experience: We arrived very late on a Sunday and had missed dinner — the team had sandwich vouchers ready for us, which was a genuinely thoughtful touch. • Baby club (0–3 years): Excellent. Fully shaded, with its own small pool and clearly designed with very young children in mind. A real highlight. • Buffet: Outstanding spread, great variety, something for everyone. • Guest relations: When we missed lunch due to naptime, they arranged a plate for us without any fuss. Helpful and genuinely kind. • Animation team: Warm, friendly and approachable. The evening shows are top quality — impressive costumes and real production value. • Gym: Fully equipped and well maintained. What could be better or to take note of: • Noise — room allocation: Monday is pub night with live music until midnight. At 23:45, with our toddler unable to sleep and all windows closed, I called reception. The response was dismissive — we were told to wait for the music to end. When I asked why we had been placed in room 543 knowing we had a small child, there was no explanation or offer to help. For a family resort, this was a real failure in both planning and complaint handling. • Meal times: Lunch is 12:30–15:00 and dinner starts at 19:00 — quite late for toddlers. Plan your child’s nap carefully or you will miss lunch. • Smoking on family beaches: The main beaches where children are welcome allow smoking. Unexpected for a family resort. • Child restrictions: One restaurant and two beaches do not allow children at all — worth knowing before you book. • Mini disco: Music choices are not always little-kid-friendly, team enthusiasm is inconsistent, and the stage gets crowded with adults, which takes the magic away for the small ones. • Terrain: The resort has a lot of stairs. Getting around with a stroller is possible but slow and tiring. Bottom line: There is genuine warmth here and plenty of highlights, especially for very young children. But the noise issue — and the way it was handled — is something the resort needs to address. If you’re booking with a toddler, specifically request a room far from live music venues. The resort will not manage this for you.

I stayed here wuth my husband, two daughters and my parents. Many aspects of the hotel are great. Why one star? Because when we checked out, the hotel knew we had missed our flight due to circumstances connected to our stay, yet left us stranded at the airport for 13 hours and refused to let us return — despite our 7 year old being seriously ill from food poisoning after a hotel meal, and our travelling companions being aged 70+. We had missed our flights because we had to take our daughter to a doctor that morning. The checkout process then took far longer than it should have, as the bill was incorrect twice. Our luggage was left behind in the room. Finally, the hotel transfer van suffered an engine failure and we had to switch vehicles on the way to the airport. By the time we arrived, check-in had closed five minutes earlier. Our only option was to rearrange flights for 3:30am. It was then 3pm, with a sick child and elderly grandparents. I contacted the hotel fully expecting them to apologise, send a car, and allow us to spend the evening there while we waited. Instead, after many attempts to get through, a Guest Relations manager named D**** informed us that the hotel had decided the situation was our fault, and that the hotel was full. When my husband told her this was the worst customer service I had ever experienced, she hung up. Back in England we sent the results showing what was wrong with our youngest and the hotel simply insisted it could not hsve been due to them. There are genuinely lovely things about this hotel. But ask yourself — do you want to stay somewhere that refuses to accept responsibility for its own failures, and abandons guests, including a sick child and elderly travellers, without a second thought?
