Great stay overall — much better than some older reviews suggest Despite some of the older negative comments I’d read before arriving, our stay here was genuinely excellent. The hotel is high quality, the grounds are well kept, and the swimming pools are a real highlight. The pool bar is also priced reasonably for a resort — no surprises there. What we loved - Fantastic pools with plenty of space - Clean, modern facilities - Good value pool bar - Overall atmosphere much better than expected What could be improved - Garden View Rooms & Noise: The noise from the beachfront bars is real. You can’t fully escape the “doof‑doof” music, but it does stop around 23:00–00:00. Earplugs definitely help. - Room Cleaning: Housekeeping was unusual — rooms weren’t cleaned until around 17:00–18:00, which is odd when you’ve been out all day. - Breakfast Crowds: To avoid queues, 08:00 is the latest you can go without waiting. When it gets busy, the bacon mysteriously disappears — ask the egg station and they’ll sort you out. - Guest Behaviour: The hotel is attracting a wider mix of travellers lately. Some guests travelled in large groups, were quite loud, and had different cultural habits (e.g., filming others, eating with hands for main meals, sharing rooms with many people). Our neighbours had around a dozen pairs of shoes outside and were very noisy. Overall A great stay and absolutely worth considering if you’re planning a trip to Ao Nang. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and with a few tweaks this could easily be one of the best family‑friendly resorts in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised by this resort. I was a bit worried after reading some recent reviews, but we had a great stay with no issues at all. The hotel is modern and well maintained, and everything felt clean. The reception team were fantastic—they sorted us out with interconnected rooms, which was super helpful. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We happened to be there during Songkran, which made it extra fun. The hotel put on nice activities and a special dinner, which we really enjoyed. Pools were clean, and the location is great—easy walk to the night market. Only small downside was a bit of noise from nearby places late at night, but honestly it didn’t bother us much. Would definitely stay again.

Checked out of Holiday Ao Nang few days ago with my family and our overall experience was OKAY, but definitely has lots of room of improvement. Location wise, yes.. it is indeed in-front of the beach a.k.a beach front but it is not that kind of beach front that you can enjoy strolling at the beach or playing etc as the hotel is located at the corner of the shore and the beach is very very dirty. Lots of rubbish and black foams. You have to walk all the way towards the ao nang landmark night market for a slightly cleaner beach. It was rather disappointing. If you like a little busier area, this place is not for you. There is nothing much in the 500m perimeter. There is a few restaurants/ small cafe opposite, massage place (good rating but in my opinion quite overrated as well), and thats pretty much it but if you’re coming with family, this hotel is the place to be if you’re only looking for a place to relax for everyone to enjoy the pool, the kids club & some activities available (payable) at the hotel. The restaurant thats right infront of the reception, however was also a let down. We arrived 2.20pm whereby the usual check in was “supposed” to be 3pm. So we thought we could eat some food while waiting for our room to be ready. Food came approx. 40mins after and it is already at the “supposedly” check in time. The room arrangement was kinda disappointing and very slow as well. We booked 6 deluxe pool access room in 1 single booking as a big family, 2 rooms were ready by 3pm, another 2 rooms before 4pm and the last 2 rooms were only ready before 5pm in a different wing and with 4 rooms in between. We were kinda stranded as our rooms were not ready, as a big family, we cant get changed and rested after a whole morning of flight with toddler, kids and elderly. The last two rooms were given to us before 5pm when it really should be 3pm. The reason? Short of hands for housekeeping…. Okay……. For a 5 stars hotel, it does feel a little too “desperate” to get more money from you. Prior to our arrival, we have been contacting the hotel to provide complimentary birthday cake as we are celebrating some of our family members birthdays during the trip, but after a few times mentioning it, we were told that it is chargeable… we were disappointed as usual. We booked 6 deluxe room and yet cant even get a single cake for birthdays. It is merely for the mood and they can’t even do that for us. Also, it is a joke that the fridge and mini bars are filled to the brim and everything is chargeable as well 😅 It is full to the brim until you can’t even put your 7-11 loots in it unless you arrange their stuff. If you feel you want to charge, I’d suggest you keep the fridge empty. Their service and staff is good. Everyone is friendly but it doesn’t justify their lack of attentiveness to cleanliness. The bathtubs had sand and the “new” floor mat have bird poop on it. The housekeeping works very hard, infact i feel too hard and it causes too much delay. Every call for extra towels / room cleaning doesn’t come as prompt as you’d hoped for. The bed & pillows were great tho! But some of the stuff in the room feels dated. Flush was hard, the handheld shower in the bathtub is kinda rusty and hard to switch, stains on the sink etc. the number “1” of the telephone in room 1107 is spoiled too. The pool and kids club all is good. We had a great time. The breakfast spread was good too. Just that the place may be too warm even for early mornings. Your staff are all sweaty trying to keep up with the cleaning etc. Also if you’re trying to email them prior to your request for airport transfer could be an issue if you have more than 10pax and they will leave you hanging with no solution but providing you with contacts and asked you to arrange yourself when you clearly asked them for help. Hahaha. Overall it is not a bad place to be in, but they are lots of things to improve on. Arrangements, services etc. Will i return? Probably not for the price we paid. We will bring our biz elsewhere next time. Goodluck.

We stayed at this hotel as a family with our 3 year old and 1 year old children and absolutely loved it. We had a room with direct pool access, which was perfect for us. The kids especially enjoyed the slides and had a great time around the hotel. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The location is excellent for boat tours, as most depart right in front of the hotel and the long-tail boat service to Railay Beach is also just in front. The night market is only a 5-minute walk. Overall, a fantastic stay for families.

The room are nice but now new. The service at the restaurant was very slow, but the food was good. Breakfast was ok. The coffee wasn't good at all. It was very hot at the restaurants without any fans. The pool and the water slides were very nice, but not shaded at all. The rooms we stayed in required a lot of walking to the pool and to the restaurants, even though they were "pool view rooms", so it wasn't very convenient with the kids. The kids club was very nice.
