Good hotel our room a junior suite was huge and kept very clean mini bar was stocked ever day the food was ok pretty standard for this type of hotel we had a relaxing 1 week stay didn't have any problems the only thing I would recommend is a taxi transfer from the airport it's about 25 Euros our transfer on the coach took nearly 2 hours not so good. The Marina is nice not huge the walk back up to hotel is a steep hill

From the outset, my husband and I are repeat visitors however this is definitely our last visit. Dont expect any response pre visit or during your stay by email. I had queried what time the restaurant was open until (our flight was landing 8pm) and if we could pre check in (this was available on previous stays), the check in process is not quick and not what you want after a long flight. We were charged extra for the use of the safe and for a deposit for gnarly pool towels. The lift we were directed to to access the first floor was not working (for the duration of our stay), my husband had to carry 2 x 20kg cases down four flights of stairs. The ‘superior double with balcony/terrace sea view room’ was a stretch, not quite sure what was superior about it and as for sea view it was first floor overlooking the road and a housing complex, the sea was then visible. The room did not have tea or coffee making facilities. As per our welcome email I contacted the email address provided to ask if we could upgrade to a room with coffee making facilities, I am still waiting on a response. There was air con in the room but not in the bathroom so if two people had a shower in succession the heat was unbearable. Mini toiletries were not replaced and the mini bar (listed as a feature of the room) was empty. In fairness the cleaners were very good. The all inclusive package was grim, food very hit & miss (cheap overcooked meats etc), service was very up and down - you could be waiting an hour for a drink at the dinner buffet, and if you are drinking alcohol stick to beer, the white wine and vodka were awful. The barman at the pool bar near the spa insisted on people ordering in Spanish despite the fact this is a hotel full of international tourists. When it rained it flowed under our door so the towels we paid the deposit on became extra useful. The entertainment was ok. The hotel bus to Puerto del carmen runs on its own time not according to the schedule provided, we (& another couple) were there on time yet the bus left us standing, I went to reception to report this and got the usual blank stare (least they could do was call the driver to return for guests who had the courtesy to be outside on time waiting). Overall I’d equate our stay to a very cheap cruise. We were shown no appreciation for our repeat custom as is the case in normal hotels. For what we paid we would have been better renting a villa and eating good food and drinking decent drinks with great service at the marina (we did this on two nights of our stay to escape), this is what we will be doing going forward. Update: reply to hotel response. Unfortunately you let us down constantly, we have a background in the hotel industry and what we experienced and saw how others were treated in bars etc is abysmal. You need a major overhaul of your customer service procedures and also need to provide accommodation that fits the cost/rate people are paying. You have lost our custom and, from incidents we saw with the guests, have lost many others also. Shut down and start again.

Just got back from a week all inclusive after having not been to the hotel for 19 years. The reception area is amazing, lots of places to sit. The bar was good, although sometimes quite a queue. The pools are clean and plenty of sun loungers. We didn’t get hotel towels as that needed a cash deposit, they wouldn’t accept a card. The safe in the room required a daily charge but not expensive. The reception staff were on the whole pleasant, although some were a tad blunt at times. Now for the downside…The room was shabby. Mismatched furniture (one of us had a white bedside table and the other side of the bed had a wooden one, in the same room), paint flaking off the wardrobe, dirty stains on the floor that weren’t cleaned til the last day. There was a fair few ants in the room. My son accidentally dropped a glass on the floor and we tidied it up but we’re still finding shards of glass days later even after the cleaners had been in. But that said the pools were clean, the food was great, the hotel is in a good quiet location. We used the free bus a couple of times. The hotel spa was great.

Last night of our fantastic holiday. We are a family of 4, 3 adults and an 8 year old. First time holidaying in the Costa Calero, First time in lanzarote. Staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. Always on hand for anything you need. Food is as expected for an all inclusive, yummy, plentiful, fresh and the pack lunch was great. Always something different and caters for everyone. Rooms are comfortable and clean, if I was being hyper critical, just a few dents here and there but nothing to bother us. Hotel facilities are great, swimming pools are good, plenty of sunbed. (early bird catches the worms). Gyms good, could do with a few more heaver weights, (thats a me problem). Area was perfect for us, quite, out the hustle and bustle, you could get a bus to the major town if wanted. There is 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. Some cracking walking and running routes as well. There is a couple of bars abd restaurants at the marina but not much else. We would 100% stay again, thank you for a great holiday

Well I have never left a review in my life, but I felt this time round I should. Me and my wife are currently on day 6 of our 10 day stay and I've got to say it really is lovely. The food is good, the rooms and hotel in gereral are immaculate, the staff are so friendly and helpful. I cant say a bad word. The outside area is vast with so many sun loungers. I can imagine in peak season and could get a bit hectic but It's just a really nice place to be. The fitness centre if perfect for sad people like me who use this facility which makes a refreshing change, the spa centre is lovely also, I just can't say anything bad. Keep up the good work.. 👍
