We keep coming. The evening meals are very good, the lunch time is average, breakfast is good. The facilities are good, in recent years the hotel hasn't looked as beautiful as years ago, however you can see investment is being made and improvements are clear to see. There's a reasonable amount of choice of alcohol within all inclusive, more than some hotels and less than others. The location is a great balance, quiet enough to feel tucked away, but connections to the beach/shops are easy. Some parts of the hotel are unbelievably beautiful typical of 5 star hotels. I feel there is an opportunity to create a park/splash zone/water park elements in the hotel. With the right investment and effort the hotel could easily become a 5 star hotel, equally without it, it could become a 3

Lovely hotel with fantastic hard working staff. Room was lovely as we requested a sea view - and what view 😍, great feeling falling asleep listening to the waves. Food choices were excellent with a wide ranch of choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner - was never hungry. Honestly can’t understand previous reviews slating the food - loads of choices to accommodate various visiting countries. Tip - book Fusion restaurant on arrival - Mexican and Asian nights were awesome and again, great options. Bar staff were fantastic and worked hard at peak times, yes there may be queues but you weren’t standing for long due to excellent bar staff. Sports bar could show more range of sports and games - maybe something to look at to stop people going into bars outside hotel. Pools were all clean and plenty of loungers. Spa area was amazing, perfect way to relax after long morning walks - would recommend full body massage to start a relaxing holiday. Would also recommend you adventure out the side of hotel and walk along coast / hills to discover beautiful beaches and stunning views - a trek worthwhile 🥰. Overall fantastic experience and everything we wanted to chill out and relax. Big thanks to all the wonderful staff 😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A great location at the end of the strip, near the national park. This is definitely a hotel that we will come back to. The rooms were spacious and the sea view amazing waking up to the sound of the ocean (no road between the hotel and beach). The Elite lounge is worth the extra money, with a very well stocked bar/spirits to choose from, plus the outside top area great for sunset. Food was excellent and great friendly service. The evening entertainment was alright, the free bar helped. All in all a great all inclusive hotel, so a big thanks to all the staff for making it a memorable experience.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel like announced. Hotel itself is nice, it has a nice atmosphere and it is well taken care. The rooms are average. The hallways to the rooms are old and in need of a revamp. Food is average. I would expect the food to be better in a 4 star hotel. Variety in fruit very poor. And I wouldn’t expect canned fruit to be served. Staff was very nice. It is not a hotel oriented towards families. The schedules of the meals need to be re-thought. When you have small kids not being able to have breakfast until after 8 is not amazing but what really shocked me, was that lunch was not until 1 pm!!! There’s barely any high chairs in the main buffet restaurant. Italian restaurant had a nice atmosphere and it always smelled really well. But again, the food was average: pizzas were frozen and stuck in the wooden oven. The fusion restaurant had really nice staff and a great atmosphere, but apart from the fact that it was Mexican and Asian themed I was expecting the food to be a bit better. The sashimi on the Asian night was really good, but the rest of the sushi was not edible. The pools were nice, but there were always adults lounging and using the kids pool (40 cm pool), not leaving a lot of space for actual kids. The fact that there were snacks 24 hours was nice. And the crepes were a very big hit! The noise from the animation at night was very desruptive, we could hear it perfectly from our room.

My husband and I spent 10 days at this hotel, and I'd like to leave a detailed review covering both the positives and the negatives. Pros: The hotel's location is excellent. On one side, you have the town, and on the other, there's a beautiful coastal trail leading to several beaches. We walked there almost every day. The scenery is breathtaking, and Playa Mujeres is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The hotel offers plenty of activities, and we tried almost all of them: billiards, tennis, table tennis, and the spa with massages. There was always something to do. The evening entertainment seemed to be mainly aimed at British guests, as they make up the majority of the hotel's visitors. We are from France. The rooms are very spacious, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. We slept like babies every night. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and willing to assist whenever we needed anything. Cons: The food was the biggest disappointment. First of all, it was very repetitive, but even more importantly, almost everything was swimming in oil. The food was extremely greasy. There was a very limited selection of fish and seafood. Salmon was served only once during our 10-day stay, and there wasn't any seafood at all. The only fish available was fried, again in a large amount of oil. There were too many pastries, and many dishes were either overly salty or overly sweet. We really missed having healthier and more balanced meal options. That said, we did enjoy the Fusion restaurant, especially the Mexican-themed dinners. Another downside was how crowded the hotel was. By 11 a.m., there wasn't a single free sunbed left at any of the three pools. On our first day, we ordered mojitos at the sports bar and honestly couldn't understand what we were drinking. They tasted like overly sweet artificial syrup with just a splash of rum. Even the beer felt like it was alcohol-free. In the end, we mostly drank gin and tonic or Aperol Spritz, and those were perfectly fine. One more thing to keep in mind: smoking is not allowed anywhere in the hotel. I understand that's a positive for non-smokers, but smokers should be aware of this before booking. Thank you, Sandos Papagayo. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our vacation.
