Just returned home from a 4 nights stay here. The staff were great, they were all friendly, eager to help. Definitely recommend a trip to the Spa! My room was good (suite) although certain things could do with better attention to detail i.e stains in jacuzzi, bathroom tiles messy around the shower. I selected all inclusive, but I'd probably just do breakfast next time as things got a bit repetitive. The restaurant is on the 4th floor, my room was on the 3rd, mornings were disrupted by scraping chairs at breakfast time. The hotel is in an ideal spot, not too far away from the beach, not too close to the town. All in all a good stay, will definitely return.

The hotel is in an amazing location, with stunning views from the main pool area. It’s also a huge plus that every room has a sea view, which really adds to the experience. The room itself was comfortable, although the décor does feel quite dated and could benefit from some updating. There is a lot of oldy oak-style wood in the rooms, which gives it a more old-fashioned feel compared with the beautiful surroundings. The staff have been extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. A special mention has to go to Juan and Anaya, who work around the main pool area. They both have fantastic enthusiasm and energy and are always smiling when serving customers. Their friendly attitude really makes a difference and is a credit to the hotel. Overall, a lovely hotel in a fantastic location with incredible sea views and some brilliant staff. With a little updating to the rooms, it could be even better.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The sea views were beautiful, and our large room on the third floor was excellent. In our opinion, these rooms are much more spacious and comfortable than some of the higher-floor rooms. The breakfast was very good, and Montse was especially kind and friendly each morning, always greeting guests with a smile. The only downside was the sun lounger situation. Many guests reserved loungers with towels for long periods without actually using them, making it difficult for others to find a place to sit. The hotel would benefit from enforcing a policy to prevent this behaviour. For dining in the evening, we recommend taking a short taxi ride to Peguera, where you’ll find a wider selection of nicer restaurants. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with fantastic views, comfortable accommodation, and friendly service.

This is a lovely hotel that sits right on the ocean and i understand all the rooms have a sea view. The hotel is well laid out and the rooms are a decent size - depending on whether you upgrade to star prestige. We stayed in a junior suite (not star prestige) and it was enough for what we needed. There is one bar and one swimming pool for guests along with sunbeds - access to additional bars and pools if you upgrade to star prestige and a lot more sunbeds. This is the second hotel where I have stayed where there has been something along the same lines as star prestige, I feel it's a way for hotels to make more money; guests should have access to all pools and bars however, that is just my opinion and on the whole, not having the star prestige didn't really spoil our stay. I feel holidays are expensive enough without paying more for being able to access the other pools/bars within the hotel and guests should be able to access all of the facilities that are available. There are two restaurants within the hotel and we used the buffet one each day. The other restaurant is an additional cost. The buffet restaurant has a very wide range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a different theme each evening for dinner. Food is fresh and there is something for everyone! The bar is a good size and has a decent selection of drinks and cocktails. The snack menu at the bar didn't appear to be included in our all inclusive which I found quite bizarre as this is the first all inclusive hotel we've stayed at where, if we wanted snacks during the day, we had to pay for them. This was included on our holiday operator information however we were told different by staff at the hotel. We were asked if we were star prestige so i am unclear whether the snack menu would be included through that. During check in, reception explained that everything with a * was an additional cost - there was no * on the menu for snacks therefore we had thought it was included. This was the first time I came across having this issue with snacks with all inclusive and having to pay extra was definitely disappointing! Overall, this is a lovely hotel. The one thing that makes this hotel stand out from others I have stayed at are the staff. They are just fantastic - Fernando, Alba and Iselmo to name a few. The staff are very attentive from the housekeeping staff, bar and restaurant staff - they are a credit to the hotel! If you are looking for somewhere idyllic and quiet for a relaxing holiday then this is the place to go and i would definitely recommend.

Read before you book: Star Prestige makes a huge difference There are almost two different hotels here depending on whether you have Star Prestige. The positives first. The hotel has lovely sea views, spacious and clean rooms, and excellent staff. Customer service was probably the highlight of our stay, from the welcome at check in through to the bar and restaurant teams. We had an issue with our shower which was fixed very quickly. The direct sea access is also great, with several ladders and swimming spots, including a more sheltered area which is useful when the sea is choppy. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and a live omelette station. Unfortunately, the buffet lunch was the complete opposite. Bland, overcooked and very disappointing. Coffee throughout the hotel was also pretty poor, mostly from cheap automatic machines. The biggest thing to understand before booking is Star Prestige. We upgraded during our stay for a relatively modest daily fee and the difference was night and day. The Prestige areas have two additional outdoor pools and are noticeably nicer and better maintained, with more and much better sunbeds. Roughly 40% are cabana style, while even the normal loungers are more comfortable. Wine, cava, sangria and soft drinks are included, plus a small selection of snacks twice a day. There is still the annoying habit of people reserving sunbeds before breakfast in both areas. Prestige simply has more capacity, so you should generally still get a bed, although perhaps not your first choice. I also think the way the hotel is presented online can be misleading. Booking.com advertises 4 swimming pools and uses lots of attractive imagery from the Prestige areas. Two pools are labelled as requiring an additional charge, but it wasn’t obvious that access is effectively linked to Star Prestige accommodation. More importantly, you cannot assume you’ll be able to upgrade when you arrive, as this depends on Prestige room availability. The photos I’ve added to this review are specifically of the standard, non Prestige areas. I wanted to show a more representative idea of what guests can expect if they book without Star Prestige, as many of the promotional photos show the Prestige facilities. Finally, Santa Ponsa itself wasn’t really for us. It has quite a mass tourism, McDonald’s and Burger King sort of feel. We much preferred heading down the coast towards Port d’Andratx for dinner. Overall, there is a lot to like. Beautiful position, great sea access, good rooms, excellent breakfast and genuinely fantastic staff. But Star Prestige transformed our experience, and without it our opinion of the hotel would have been considerably less positive.
