We are beyond grateful to have been able to spend our honeymoon at the Intercontinental in Koh Samui. There is no better word to describe this place other than perfect. If you are looking to have a relaxing, stunning, and perfectly catered honeymoon straight from a movie, look no further. From the moment that my husband and I first walked into the lobby, the views alone took our breath away. We made sure we took advantage of everything the resort had to offer, and we were never disappointed. From the six stunning pools, to the suspension bridge, the private beach, the spa, the incredible food served at the restaurants, our room, and all of the activities available, we truly did not have a single day where we were bored. However if you are the kind of person that needs to explore where you are outside of the resort, there is a nice added bonus of having a complimentary shuttle that takes you to tourist areas around the island. That being said, my husband and I spent 8 nights here and were absolutely fine not leaving the resort, except for once for a tour. There were so many beautiful added touches for our honeymoon as well, and we cannot thank the whole team enough for adding so many special moments for us throughout our stay. From everyone at reception, to our buggy drivers, to the restaurant staff, everyone created such a warm environment that left us grinning every night before we went to bed. Specifically, we want to extend the biggest thank you to Lisa, who made us feel like VIP guests all throughout our stay. You truly gave us memories that will last us a lifetime.

I think I had the 'worst' room in the resort and it was still the most luxurious and serene I've stayed in! Accessibility was a bit tricky as there were lots of stairs, but we had a gorgeous outlook into thick jungle amongst birds & squirrels, a comfy daybed to relax on, Smart TV, a huge bath and waterfall shower, everything you'd need to relax. The spa was the best I've ever visited, all meals were so delicious, and the bars had gorgeous views. The fireshow down on the beach was better than the one at Coco Tams and the pools were clean & fun with various water fountains & bubbles. I was able to find a daybed everyday. The kids club is small but really fun, with lots of craft and a playground. The only downside is to eat and drink at the resort is on the pricey side, which is fine for a few relaxing cocktails, however I'd recommend going down to the local shops to stock up if you're there for a longer stay.

My wife and I just finished up an amazing Honeymoon at this spectacular resort. We had a week there and could not fault the service from all staff. The highlights were the rooms which were so incredibly spacious and had the comfiest hotel beds, accompanied by the best housekeeping we have experienced! The pool bar was just perfect and that was in big part of the staff who were so attentive, great remembering us and our drink orders and overall so welcoming. Flames and Amber offer up a great variance in meals and we were never sick of dishes in the week. We were a tad unlucky not seeing a clear sunset in our week which was a main reason for choosing the location, so advice for future travellers the “peak” season doesn’t always guarantee great weather. We had a week in Phuket before here and the weather was equally as good in the so called wet season. Feedback for the resort would be to maybe add some music at the pool bar downstairs. We loved sitting on the seats in the water but some background music would go a long way with a cocktail in hand! Overall a great resort for couples or family wanting to be away from big crowds and after a relaxing holiday. Not the best for people wanting to explore Koh Samui and be out of the resort all day and definitely not for guests with mobility concerns

This was my first time visiting Koh Samui, and also my first stay at this resort before it closes for renovation soon. I can honestly say that this resort has the most breathtaking lobby view I have ever experienced among all the hotels and resorts I've stayed at. The uninterrupted panoramic ocean view instantly melted away the fatigue from my journey and created a wonderful first impression. The team here took excellent care of me throughout my stay. I received such a warm welcome from Khun Jan, the Club InterContinental Manager, as well as Khun Markey, Khun Taohu, Khun Arty, Khun Lisa, Khun Latin, and Khun Elle, who even helped me with my room late at night. I also enjoyed the great recommendations and attentive service from Khun Q at Air Bar, as well as Khun Dow (I'm not sure of her position), who personally looked after me during breakfast. Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank the Housekeeping team for keeping my room spotless throughout my stay. When I learned that the resort would soon close for renovation, I felt genuinely saddened. If I return after the renovation, I may not have the chance to see these wonderful people again. They have made this stay truly unforgettable, and this resort has given me memories that I will always cherish.

Our family recently spent five unforgettable nights at the InterContinental Koh Samui Resort on an all-inclusive Luxury Escapes package, and from the moment we arrived until the time we reluctantly departed, we experienced some of the finest hospitality we've ever received. Our package included airport transfers from Koh Samui, breakfast, set-menu lunches and dinners, massages, and Club InterContinental access. Every aspect was seamless and represented outstanding value. Throughout our stay, every member of staff was welcoming, friendly, genuinely engaging, and always eager to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we truly felt that everyone was committed to making our holiday as perfect as possible. We stayed in a Beachfront Pool Villa, which was incredibly spacious for our family of three. The villa was beautifully appointed, with a huge bathroom featuring both a spa bath and a separate shower, along with plenty of storage space for luggage and clothes. The king-size bed was exceptionally comfortable, and our daughter's fold-out bed was equally spacious and comfortable. Waking up each morning to uninterrupted ocean views from our villa was simply magical and one of the highlights of our stay. Dining throughout the resort was excellent. Breakfast at Amber Restaurant offered an impressive variety of both Western and local Thai dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone each morning. Lunches and dinners at Amber were consistently delicious, with a wonderful mix of Thai and Indian-inspired dishes that were full of flavour and generously portioned. Flames Restaurant was another standout. The menu offered more Western-style cuisine, and every meal we enjoyed was cooked to perfection. The steaks, in particular, were consistently prepared medium-rare exactly as requested—a testament to the quality of the kitchen. Club InterContinental was one of our favourite parts of the resort. The lounge provides a stunning setting overlooking the ocean, making it the perfect place to relax each afternoon. Afternoon tea from 1–3 pm and evening cocktails from 5–7 pm were both exceptional. The range of drinks exceeded our expectations, and every cocktail was expertly crafted and beautifully presented. A very special thank you must go to Pim and Som-O from the Club Lounge. Both were absolutely delightful and made us feel genuinely welcome every single day. However, Som-O (Pomelo) deserves particular recognition. She is quite simply one of the nicest people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Her warmth, kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made every afternoon something we looked forward to. She has an incredible ability to make guests feel special and valued, and she truly is a tremendous asset to both IHG and the InterContinental brand. Every conversation with Som-O left us happier than before, and she genuinely made our holiday even more memorable. We sincerely hope the hotel recognises the exceptional service she provides, as staff members like her are rare. We wish her every success in her future career and have no doubt she will continue to achieve great things. We understand the resort will begin renovations in September 2026, and while it's already a wonderful destination, we're excited to see the finished result. We would absolutely love to return once the renovations are complete and experience this beautiful resort all over again. Thank you to everyone at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort for giving our family such an unforgettable holiday. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return.
