Had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort. Everything exceeded our expectations—from the beautiful resort and stunning views to the excellent food and outstanding service. Every member of staff we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The Club InterContinental experience was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the activities offered by the resort, especially the Mat Pilates session, which was professionally conducted and very enjoyable. A special thank you to the entire team for helping make our father’s birthday celebration even more memorable. We truly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Koh Samui.

Our stay had both positive and negative experiences. The resort is unfortunately not very suitable for guests using wheelchairs, as there are many steep areas and limited accessibility. The location is also very remote, with most attractions and restaurants being around 30 minutes away. One of the most concerning experiences was when my dad stepped on a sea urchin. The staff tried treating the injury by hitting his foot with a glass bottle, which is not the recommended way to remove sea urchin spines. We also noticed that there were warning signs for jellyfish but none for sea urchins, despite them being present in the water. In addition, the sea contained quite a lot of rubbish, and there was broken glass on the beach. We reported this after my dad stepped on some, as it posed a safety risk for other guests. Our original room also had a faulty wardrobe door. My mum accidentally jammed her finger in it, leaving her finger badly bruised and swollen. Thankfully, after we reported the issue, the hotel upgraded us to a much larger room, which we really appreciated. However, the balcony doors in the new room made loud, unusual noises throughout the night, which often sounded as if someone was trying to enter the room. On a more positive note, the service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were always respectful, friendly, and eager to help. The beach pool was fantastic, and although the resort has six swimming pools, the beach pool and the adults-only pool were by far the busiest. We also really enjoyed dining at the Amber and Flame restaurants. The food was delicious, and the staff at both restaurants provided outstanding service. Overall, despite the issues we experienced with safety, accessibility, and our rooms, we still had a pleasant stay thanks to the excellent service. A special thank you to Manager Dow, who was incredibly kind, professional, and respectful. Their care and willingness to help made a real difference to our experience.

We stayed at the InterContinental Koh Samui for our wedding anniversary. The location is stunning, peaceful, and perfect if you're looking to relax and enjoy the views. The rooms are nice but are starting to show their age, so it's good to hear the resort will soon be renovated. Unfortunately, on our first day I stepped on a sea urchin while swimming in front of the resort. Nine days later, one spine is still lodged in my foot and causing significant pain. The staff genuinely tried to help, and Martin even offered complimentary transport to a hospital an hour away, but I would have had to pay for the treatment and didn't want to spend an entire day of our anniversary in hospital. The beach also needs better maintenance, as I later cut my other foot on broken glass. I strongly recommend warning signs for sea urchins as well as regular beach cleaning. A huge thank you to Dow, the Front Office Manager, who went above and beyond by upgrading our room, arranging flowers, and organising a massage to make the rest of our stay special. Also, Koy at Baan Thai Spa gave one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had—I booked a second one! Breakfast was good, but there was a heavy focus on pork every morning. A wider variety of non-pork options would better cater to international guests. One tip for future guests: check your bills carefully before signing and again before checkout, as we found several incorrect charges and even receipts belonging to other guests. This resort has incredible potential. The staff genuinely care, the location is amazing, and with the upcoming renovations and stronger day-to-day management, it could easily become one of the best resorts in Koh Samui. I'm not trying to run the resort, but I genuinely believe this property has enormous potential. I run my own business, so I understand how important leadership, attention to detail, and consistency are. The staff are warm and genuinely care, and the foundations are all there. With the upcoming renovations and stronger day-to-day management, I truly believe this could become one of the best resorts in Koh Samui. We leave with some wonderful memories, but unfortunately also with a sea urchin spine still lodged in my foot. I sincerely hope the feedback above helps the resort become even better for future guests.

We are beyond grateful to have been able to spend our honeymoon at the Intercontinental in Koh Samui. There is no better word to describe this place other than perfect. If you are looking to have a relaxing, stunning, and perfectly catered honeymoon straight from a movie, look no further. From the moment that my husband and I first walked into the lobby, the views alone took our breath away. We made sure we took advantage of everything the resort had to offer, and we were never disappointed. From the six stunning pools, to the suspension bridge, the private beach, the spa, the incredible food served at the restaurants, our room, and all of the activities available, we truly did not have a single day where we were bored. However if you are the kind of person that needs to explore where you are outside of the resort, there is a nice added bonus of having a complimentary shuttle that takes you to tourist areas around the island. That being said, my husband and I spent 8 nights here and were absolutely fine not leaving the resort, except for once for a tour. There were so many beautiful added touches for our honeymoon as well, and we cannot thank the whole team enough for adding so many special moments for us throughout our stay. From everyone at reception, to our buggy drivers, to the restaurant staff, everyone created such a warm environment that left us grinning every night before we went to bed. Specifically, we want to extend the biggest thank you to Lisa, who made us feel like VIP guests all throughout our stay. You truly gave us memories that will last us a lifetime.

Omg what is this place? Our 8th time in Thailand and we thought we’ve seen it all, up until now. First of all the venue, most beautiful setting we have ever been to. The service, WOW! Times 10. The complimentary cocktails and executive chef tapas (for IHG members) is an amazing touch and an attraction by itself. The beachfront villa, mesmerizing! This is our last day here and we already know we will be back. Thank you for making our stay ao unforgettable!
