From the moment we arrived at Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa, we knew we were going to have a wonderful week. The welcome was so warm, and having our villa ready early was such a lovely start to the holiday. Our overwater villa was fabulous — spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with “welcome” written on the bed. Those little touches made us feel special straight away, and that continued throughout our stay. Nothing ever felt too much trouble. All the restaurants and bars were fabulous, with fantastic food and the warmest, friendliest service. What really made our holiday, though, was the people. Everyone was so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. A special thank you to Ayesha, Roshan and Pedro, Chef Ravindu, and Anil and Sarti in the bar. They deserve a mention, but they are only a small number of the wonderful people who made our stay exceptional. We couldn’t possibly name everyone, but we are so grateful to the whole team. Right up until the minute we left, we were made to feel really special. Such a beautiful place, made even better by the people working there. We will definitely be back! 💙

A very unique and great experience. The staff are outstanding, food was great. Highlight was the diving for us. Special thanks to Amanda for taking our 8-year old (Jonnie) for his bubble maker experience. He/we felt very safe throughout and had a great time. Ali and Chun were the guides for me and our older/certified children and we also loved the diving. The wreck was amazing. Highly recommend this resort.

We had the most amazing time at Centara Grand Island Resort & Spa Maldives for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, everything about the resort felt so special — the beautiful surroundings, incredible turquoise water, gorgeous overwater villa and, most importantly, the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable. We recently stayed for 4 nights at Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives, The Centara Collection, and had a fantastic experience. The resort is beautiful, the villas are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. What truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding hospitality. Every staff member we met was genuinely warm, friendly and always willing to help. Their dedication and professionalism made us feel welcome throughout our holiday. A special thank you to Salman and Faruk from the Duty Manager and Check-in team for their warm welcome and smooth arrival experience. At Suan Bua Restaurant, Meaw, Bibek, and the entire team provided consistently excellent service with genuine smiles. Luckily Bibek served us at Suan Bua, Reef Restaurant and Mare Azzurro and was always at his best. AliSher, Echo and other reception team was equally supportive and helped whenever needed. At Reef Restaurant, Jassim, Noman, and Rippon were attentive, friendly and made every meal enjoyable. A special mention also goes to Shafiq at Coral Bar for his cheerful personality and excellent service. We'd also like to thank all the reception staff, whose professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated, even though we unfortunately can't remember everyone's names. We particularly enjoyed our stay in the Reethi Muraka Overwater Villa, which offered a wonderful Maldives experience. The only area where our expectations were slightly higher was the house reef. While it offers enjoyable snorkeling and is easily accessible from the resort, experienced snorkelers who have visited some of the world's top reefs may find it less spectacular than expected. Overall, this is a wonderful resort made truly special by its incredible team. Thank you to everyone at Machchafushi for making our holiday so memorable. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

An unforgettable stay in paradise! 🌴🐠 Our stay at Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa was truly unforgettable. The island is small, beautiful, and surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters and stunning white sandy beaches. It feels like a little piece of paradise in the Maldives. One of the absolute highlights for me was the incredible house reef. I fell in love with the underwater world here! We were lucky enough to see reef sharks, turtles, stingrays, moray eels, and so many beautiful tropical fish while snorkeling. The marine life is amazing, making this resort a fantastic choice for anyone who loves the ocean and discovering its underwater treasures. We also went on excursions hoping to see whale sharks and manta rays. Unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough to encounter either of them this time, which was a little disappointing. However, these are wild animals, and their appearance always depends on nature, so it's simply another reason to come back and try again! The food was delicious, especially the Thai and Italian cuisine, and the service throughout the resort was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcome. Although the island is relatively small, it has everything you need for a relaxing tropical getaway. Beautiful scenery, wonderful food, excellent service, and an incredible house reef make this place truly special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and beautiful memories. I would happily return to this little paradise! 💙🌊
