Meliá Palma Bay

We stayed at the Meliá Palma Bay for a week and came away with mixed feelings. Location is the hotel's biggest asset - right in the city centre, a short walk from the sea and from a beautiful promenade that's a pleasure to stroll along. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés all around, so you don't need a car to get to just about anything. The gym is genuinely good and well equipped, above average for a hotel in this category, and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The room itself, on the other hand, was disappointing. It's dated and doesn't live up to the impression the hotel gives off in the lobby. There are no balconies, and worse - there's just one small window that only opens partway, so the room feels closed in and airless. The windows were also very dirty, which doesn't help. We found ants in the room, and the cleaning standard was poor - it was clear the daily service amounted to making the beds and not much more. On top of that, they only provide two bath towels, which simply isn't enough. Bottom line: If you're looking for a base in a winning location and don't plan to spend much time in the room, this hotel will do the job. If a modern, genuinely clean room matters to you, it's worth considering alternatives. Rating: 3/5

Solid experience at the Melia hotel in Palma Bay. I visited with my mother. Our room was gorgeous and very clean. Really enjoyed the luxe bathroom and the rest of the modern minimalist features. Service was great, there were many times when we called and asked for things and they were delivered promptly. The hotel breakfast was yummy and fresh. I recommend paying for the parking, it's very easy and secure. The rooftop bar closes at 8pm, wish that was open a bit later but the rooftop itself is very pretty. Our taxi was phoned by the hotel and waiting for us when we were ready to go. Overall Melía left a favorable impression on me, I would visit again.

Superb hotel with good location. Right next to the A1 airport bus stop and in walking distance to the center. Rooms are super nice, we were upgraded to The Level which I can recommend. Price value is good. There is a SPA on -1 floor and on the top floor there is a swimming pool with sunbeds and a cocktail bar. The breakfast was good but too many tourists which made it a bit chaotic. If you have a late flight you can leave your bags at the reception or book a lounge which has air conditioning, all kinds of drinks and food. The room is spacious and has everything you need. Windows are strange but you get used to them, there are blackout shades if you want less light. Would come back to this hotel!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city but very close to the beach - just a few minutes’ walk away. It’s also convenient to reach the city centre and the airport by public transport. The city centre is about a 30-minute walk. The hotel’s architecture is beautiful. There’s a rooftop pool, but it’s quite small for such a large property. The staff are friendly. However, the room looks a bit outdated for this type of hotel and for the price paid. There were no slippers or bathrobe in the room. In my opinion, this hotel is better suited for business trips rather than for leisure or holiday stays.

FANTASTIC, wonderfull hotel, lovely and helpfull staff everyone here was great to us. This hotel is hard to put into words not only do you have a brilliant decor in your rooms and surrounding area but it has its own spa,roof top pool, resturant and gym all we tried and were very impressed with. The spa is relaxing and peacefull the massages remove all stress and leave all your body feeling refreshed. The rooftop pool provides a great view of the ocean, beach and we saw the eclipse too. This hotel has lovely AC keeping all rooms and the hotel cool its very refreshing when stepping away from the heat. If you want to relax in utter luxury,sleep like a king in a comfy bed,fantastic views and a spa which you will never want to leave this is the perfect hotel. Ill be back
