Meliá Palma Marina

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Melia Palma Marina and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were so attentive. We had booked a Level Sea View room and on arrival we were taken up to the Level lounge to check in. Everything was seamless and our room was ready for us so we were able to check in straight away. The view from our room was amazing and sitting on the balcony looking over the marina was very relaxing. The hotel is ideally situated, 20 mins in a taxi from the airport about a 25 min walk into Palma and the Cathedral but there are bus stops en route along the marina. The staff are a credit to the hotel and Lorena on the level lounge reception was extremely friendly and helpful, she is a real asset. German was also super helpful at check in and having such friendly helpful staff puts you at ease when visiting a new hotel. We would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in Palma and will hopefully be back to visit in the future.

The hotel lobby and all social, public areas are very nicely renovated and done. We had our wedding guests stay here so was perfect for big groups meeting and mingling. The lobby bar was also open until very late which was perfect for our occasion. Good extensive breakfast, and comfy beds. However the rooms were very sad, in desperate need of some TLC.

Sat night. Attended a wedding where we were collected from and returned to this hotel. Arrived back at around 12:40am. Asked the receptionist to book us a taxi to our hotel. Have never come across anyone so lacking in customer service and human decency!!!! First the app was down. So she gave us a phone number and incredibly poor directions to the taxi rank. We walked. And walked. And when we couldn’t find the taxi rank returned to the hotel. She would not call us a taxi stating that because of the wedding they would not pick up if she called them. So I rang. She did not want to speak to them but said the wait time was 5 minutes. We left the hotel again and after about half an hour managed to flag down a taxi at the traffic lights. Can’t comment on the hotel itself but would not stay here as the receptionist was so rude!

Our stay at the Melia Palma Marina was exceptional! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcomed. The pool facilities are amazing, with the pool bar serving cocktails and drinks. It is about a 40 minute walk from Palma centre but taxis are cheap and the walk is very nice along the promenade. Breakfast was lovely, a huge selection and lovely dining area. The room was clean and modern, and the super king bed was incredibly comfortable. The only thing I would say is that the TV is not a smart TV which would’ve been nice, and there is only a plug on one side of the bed. Besides that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a enjoyable experience at this hotel. The first impressions were great with stunning architecture and beautiful views from the room windows. The receptionist Boni at The Level reception was so helpful and so cheerful and provided the information in such a good way that made you feel immediately settled in. The Level itself was a lovely place to hang about in and get a cocktail and have causal time outside of the hotel room. The views were beautiful. The staff were all very kind and very accommodating. The food was average with limited options in the restaurant and the breakfast buffets though the fruit was very fresh. The rooms itself were extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel is located at a quite good area, it takes around a 30 minute walk into town but with stunning views all along the promenade. The town is very homely with a excellent selection of shops and restaurants to choose from thats more accommodating than the hotels meal options. I would recommend this hotel but I would suggest going into the town for meals, this is a good hotel for causal lounging during the day and for people on business purposes with multiple meeting rooms located around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to get some entertainment for the evenings as if you are a family not going out late it can be quite a dull experience with not much to do.
