We stayed here for a family trip and overall it was definitely worth it. Extremely safe and the resort has something for everyone. Great for families, or those looking to relax on the amazing beaches with plenty of seating, or those looking for drinks and fun. The resort has everything. The evening events were great and the resort club adds for those looking to stay up late. The restaurants serve great food, top remarks for the Mexican restaurant, but all of them or great. The buffets food is good and to standards. The rooms are what you’d expect and great for the amount of time you spend in it. It’s very safe and provides the ability to buy excursions and the the staff know which excursions are best. Only concern is some staff seem distance and appear rude and some seem annoyed when we ask for assistance. Key note is only some of them. The beach bar staff were great and awesome. Would recommend

My niece and I went on a little girls trip here, we stayed 4 nights and we booked Royal, all of the food we ate from the Royal Restaurant, the beach buffet, the tacos, pizza, Italian and room service was great, we never had an issue with any of the food. The ocean front room was very spacious, clean, cool and had a comfy bed and pillows, we slept amazing. The beach was spectacular, the Royal beach bar had amazing staff. Elvin at the Royal restaurant was the best!!!! The ONLY issue we had was the drinks, they tasted amazing and we had plenty, I am not sure if they are pouring true rum in them lol we drank so many from our Stanleys and never got a buzz or anything lol and we are not heavy drinkers. We would definitely go back!

Currently staying at this resort, we are having a great time. The foods are really flavorful, there were lots of options on the buffet for everyone. The variety of drinks are good, lots of different cocktails options. More than enough restaurants and bars, and there are spots open 24 hrs where you can get something to eat for when the restaurants are closed. The beach views are stunning and all the pools are really nice. Service is amazing, just genuinely nice people here!

We just returned from a week long trip here. We had 5 of us in 2 rooms. One room was the royal level. The beach is absolutely amazing! Our view from the royal level beach front was great and all of the servers and check in was smooth. The rooms are dated, rip in couch, broken table on deck but it really didn't bother us much as we barely were in the room. The Italian restaurant was good, the pizza and taco spots were my favorite. We always had fun at pool bar, we didn't care much for the buffets but we didn't starve. If your looking for an affordable trip with a great beach and good service you will be fine here. It was only about 25 minutes from airport. If you get royal level you get driven on a golf cart to check in and that was smooth. We tried kayaking (free) the shows and the club. I was surprised there wasn't much at all for daytime entertainment but all I all a decent spot. For the price i thought it was definitely good.
Palomana Boulin
This is by far the worst resort that I've been to in the Caribbean. On August 19, 2026, my family and I checked in around 4pm and checked out an hour later. This place is filthy with grout lines, stained sofas, unvacuumed carpets, mold around showers and no lights in hallways. My husband booked two connected rooms as advertised on Occidental Punta Cana. When we arrived they were not available and customer service agents advised that the resort does not have connected rooms at all. This is a scam! False advertisement. Eddie has great customer service skills and did his best to accommodate us, but he could not get us any connected rooms. On the other hand, Guest Service desk agents in blue seemed like they did not want to be there or they hated their jobs. Long story short, we always book connected rooms or family suites because we have young children. They gave us one room on the 2nd floor and another on the 3rd; we declined. Then Eddie found us rooms 10215 and 10218 (Building 10). Both rooms were dirty. See below pictures. We lost $2600, we checked out and went to another resort nearby. It has been 12 days since, no outreach from management. If you want to be safe and enjoy your stay, don't go to Occidental Punta Cana!
