Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, mainly thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was welcoming, polite, and always willing to help. The food was also tasty, with a good variety of dishes, so there was something for everyone. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the number of sunbeds. The hotel has around 270 rooms but only about 200 sunbeds. Assuming there are at least two guests per room, that’s approximately 540 guests sharing just 200 sunbeds. Although the hotel has a policy against reserving sunbeds, by around 7:30 a.m. almost every sunbed around the pool is already taken. The only ones left are usually single sunbeds without umbrellas, located in the less attractive parts of the resort. It’s disappointing that the hotel does not enforce its own rules. Another downside is smoking. Even though there are no-smoking rules in many areas, guests regularly ignore them and the staff do not intervene. The worst place is the chill-out area, where people even smoke in the covered sections. Because there is very little airflow, it often feels like sitting in a smoke-filled room, which makes it difficult to relax. While the food itself is good, there are far too many flies in the restaurant. Unfortunately, they frequently land on the food, which is both unpleasant and unhygienic. I was also disappointed with the selection of alcoholic drinks included in the all-inclusive package. For a four-star hotel, I expected much more. There are only around six cocktails available, and most of them are made from pre-mixed bottled cocktails of unknown origin. Two years ago I stayed in a three-star hotel in Mallorca, where the selection was much better. Guests could choose from a variety of local spirits and mix their own drinks with different soft drinks, which felt much higher quality than what is offered here. In summary, the hotel has many positive aspects, especially the excellent staff and good food. However, the shortage of sunbeds, the lack of enforcement of the no-smoking policy, the flies in the restaurant, and the disappointing all-inclusive drinks selection mean that the overall experience did not meet my expectations for a four-star hotel.

Room was a really good size for two adults sharing. Breakfast buffet was great quality and had a good selection of food options. The location is a bit far from Yumbo a 30min walk but it’s not difficult no hills so an easy walk. Pool and jacuzzi facilities really clean and well maintained. Hotel also offers great entertainment for kids and adults yoga classes Pilates and water aerobics. All staff were very friendly and helpful most of all the entertainment team, Daniel and Bader were great in motivating all guests getting them entertained and active on their holidays offering a workout that was balanced for all ages, creating a fun experience. Thank you for a wonderful holiday weekend.

Unfussy and so relaxing are what springs to mind. A great hotel in a great location. Yes, could do with a bit of TLC here and there but doesn't take away from the chilled vibe here. The food is fantastic (we are AI) and whilst we do overlook a main road, we got used to it after a few hours! Pool is clean, there are plenty of sunbeds, just not all next to the pool. We are leaving tomorrow after 9 days of which we were able to get beds every day, the weather's the star anyway! Just a short walk to bars, restaurants and the promenade (stunning views). We have had housekeeping in every day (a real surprise and not totally necessary) and the whole complex is kept very nicely. Staff friendly, welcoming and patient with my Spanish! The hotel caters for less mobile guests with ramps, reserved sunbeds and plenty of access throughout. We will be back!

First thing to note; staff will continue to have their conversations at reception before seeing to you, this happened on multiple occasions unfortunately, also previous hotels are more than happy to show you the way to the room, here you get directions and that’s as far as it goes. Rooms are of decent quality but I agree with a lot that they could do with updating. There was a few incidents with the life guard there for other guests, he was playing with a soft aquatic ball and was told to stop, even younger children was told not to, (its a pool to swim and that’s it basically) I’ve never seen rules like that at any hotel but apparently that’s in the rules for the pool, no inflatable water “toys”. They have a jacuzzi but guess what… maximum 10 minutes, no drinks, vapes or phones are allowed to be left near the jacuzzi as we was told by the life guard, even though they was not been used in the jacuzzi, sometimes we like to keep an eye on our belongings or keep them close. Food was mediocre at best, very low quality meat. As others have stated, all inclusive should mean exactly that, you can choose about 20 drinks that are “free” they taste like water and have very low amounts of alcohol, if you want brand names or pay for the same drink, it’s generally done how you would expect. Overall disappointing compared to many 4* hotels I’ve been too. Loud noise coming from above, banging, and also the below rooms. One night our do not disturb was stolen by another guest so we had the maid knocking early, not an issue of the hotel but guests, just to be aware of. A smell of what can be described as human fecal matter was prevalent outside which kept coming with the wind, doesn’t make for a pleasurable experience to sit outside and eat or relax around the pool. Cleaners were always polite and respectful, more so than the staff that work there in the restaurant and reception. Unfortunately I would not return to this hotel for many reasons, but some outlined above, just keep an open mind when looking to stay here if you want a true 4* experience I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We have just had the most wonderful stay at Playa Bonita Hotel in Gran Canaria and honestly could not fault a thing. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous — immaculately clean everywhere you look, with beautiful gardens that create such a relaxing atmosphere. The food was perfect every single day, with so much variety and choice that there was always something delicious to try. One of the real hidden gems of the hotel is the quieter secret area with the Bali loungers and jacuzzi, which felt like a little slice of paradise. It was the perfect place to completely unwind. What truly made this holiday extra special though was the incredible animation team. They work so hard to make everyone feel welcome, included and entertained throughout the day. A huge thank you to Bader, who was absolutely fantastic during Pilates, yoga and aqua gym — always so friendly, energetic and encouraging. We also loved doing aqua gym with Alian, who brought so much fun and positivity to every session. And of course, a special mention to their chief Daniel, who clearly does an amazing job leading such a brilliant team and making everything run perfectly. The whole atmosphere at Playa Bonita is warm, friendly and uplifting thanks to these wonderful people. We left with amazing memories and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended!
