The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping and maintenance staff. The maintenance man fixed an issue with our toilet immediately and was very keen to help. Most staff, with the exception of one man in the restaurant, were smiley and welcoming which makes all the difference. The rooms were clean, light and airy with a daily service. The only issue we had was with a problem getting into one of our rooms (and then the wristband opening another guest's room) but this was solved immediately by Reception staff. The food offered a good variety and the entertainment was good. Always lots of sunloungers available. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is not very clean. The towels are not changed regularly, and the staff told me that the manager only allows the bed sheets to be changed every three days. The rooms do not have refrigerators. The breakfast offers plenty of food, but there isn’t much variety. The same dishes are served every day. However, the service is excellent, and the staff are friendly.

This is a very good hotel. It has a good swimming pool with plenty of sun beds and the restaurant is good. There is plenty of choice of foods but we did find that the sausages were not real sausages; they were processed crap that tasted of cardboard. Waiters were good and cleared tables quickly during and after service. The hotel is very close to the Yumbo centre, literally a 5-minute walk. Plenty of supermarkets close by for low cost alcohol. Bad points: people were reserving sun beds at 7am in the sun and then not using them until the afternoon. This needs to be stopped.

Pros: Unreal location. Short walk to beach as well as to all the main restaurants and bars. Loved the pool, pool bar, mini games and the activities and stuff you could do in the hotel such as water polo and bingo. Reception staff were also very friendly. Cons: Room was unbearably warm. Felt like a sauna. In almost 30 degree heat with a UV of 10 the room felt warmer than outside. The air conditioning was awful, wasn't working originally so we had to complain 5 different times to reception who gave us a spare room for one night and eventually sent a maintenance guy to repair it. The spare room air con wasn't much better either it was still so warm. After the maintenance guy came our original rooms air con went from being diabolically awful to being just straight up bad so even though it got a tiny bit better it was still terrible. Made it impossible to relax or sleep in. We had to keep the full balcony door open at night to be able even to properly breathe in it so we could sleep. The heat got so bad that we eventually had to check out 2 nights early and moved to a different hotel. On checkout they didn't even ask which room number we had or anything else like that.

Good location, but not worth almost £3,000/ €3,501 for a family of three We stayed at Servatur Waikiki as a family of three, two adults and one child, and paid almost £3,000 for a five day all inclusive stay. Unfortunately, for the price we paid, I don’t feel the hotel offered the standard or experience I would expect from a four-star property. There were definitely some positives. The location is excellent. It is very central, close to the beach, shops, restaurants and Holiday World, so there is plenty to do outside of the hotel. Our room was also a decent size, and the staff were genuinely lovely, friendly and understanding throughout our stay, even when there was sometimes a language barrier. My son also really enjoyed the swimming pool. However, there were several things that made the overall experience disappointing. The rooms weren’t cleaned to the standard I would expect. Housekeeping came in and changed the sheets and did a basic wipe down, but the floors and room generally didn’t feel properly cleaned. At times the room was visibly dirty, and it felt more like a quick turnaround rather than a thorough clean. There was also no fridge in the room, which I found particularly inconvenient as a family. Being able to keep bottles of water or drinks cold would have been a basic but useful facility, especially in the Gran Canaria heat. The food was average. The quality was standard for an all inclusive, but the biggest issue was how repetitive it became. During our five day stay, there wasn’t enough variety and we found ourselves wanting to eat outside the hotel. The pool area was another issue. Although my son loved the pool, there simply aren’t enough sunbeds or umbrellas for the number of guests the hotel accommodates. The fact that people were coming out as early as 7am to reserve sunbeds says a lot about the situation. It shouldn’t be necessary to wake up that early on holiday just to have somewhere to sit around the pool. For us as a family, the entertainment was probably the biggest disappointment. There wasn’t much aimed at children during our stay. I saw one circus show, but the children’s entertainment room downstairs wasn’t really being used for activities when we were there. There were lots of families and young adults staying at the hotel, but it seemed that many people ended up leaving the hotel in the evenings because there wasn’t enough entertainment or atmosphere for them on-site. For this reason, I personally wouldn’t describe Servatur Waikiki as a particularly family-focused resort. It felt more suited to an older demographic, despite having plenty of families staying there. Overall, I would rate the hotel around 2.5/5 rather than 2.5/ The location and friendly staff were definite positives, but considering we spent almost £3,000/€3.501 for five days all-inclusive as a family of three, I expected considerably more in terms of cleanliness, food variety, facilities, pool space and family entertainment. It’s not a terrible hotel, and we did have some enjoyable moments, but for the price we paid, I simply don’t feel it offered good value for money. I would recommend researching other options before booking, particularly if you’re travelling as a family and expect a genuine 4⭐️ all inclusive experience
