We stayed at Shanti Maurice and it was truly an unforgettable experience. I had originally booked the Junior Suite Beachfront, but upon arrival we were upgraded to a villa which was absolutely extraordinary. The room was unbelievably beautiful with a stunning private pool and jacuzzi, breathtaking ocean views and complete privacy. It exceeded every expectation. A special mention goes to our amazing butler, Mr. Amal. From the very first moment, he made us feel completely at home. His kindness, warmth and genuine care were something truly special. He guided us through every step of our stay, showing us around the hotel and being there whenever we needed anything, without ever feeling intrusive. His attention to detail and the way he anticipated our needs made our short stay feel deeply personal and memorable. His service really elevated our experience We had dinner at Rum Shed, where the food was fantastic. Ajali and Tejvan were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely conversation and thanks to their suggestions, we tried the rum arrangé, which was incredible and they even shared a few tips so we can try making something similar at home. Kudos to the chefs at the Stars restaurant. The sushi and chicken biryani were both delicious. Every meal exceeded our expectations. Overall, the service from every staff member we encountered was exceptional, fast, attentive, and genuinely caring. And a special thank you to Niharika, who greeted us with enthusiasm upon our arrival. It was a truly memorable weekend and we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

We recently spent an unforgettable weekend at Shanti Maurice, and from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the Beachfront Suite Pool Villa, and it was absolutely stunning. The villa offered panoramic ocean views, a private pool with a jacuzzi, and a level of privacy that made the stay incredibly peaceful. Waking up to the sound of birds and watching the waves from our terrace was truly magical. A special mention and heartfelt thank you to Mr Amal, our butler, who made our stay even more exceptional. From the first interaction, he made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Amal was attentive without ever being intrusive—always appearing exactly when we needed something, yet giving us complete space to relax. He ensured a smooth check-in, explained the villa features clearly, and took the initiative to organise everything down to the smallest details. Whether it was arranging our in-room breakfast, checking if we needed anything for the pool villa, or simply making sure we were comfortable, he handled everything with professionalism and warmth. His kindness made us feel at home, and thanks to him, our stay was completely stress-free. Dinner at Rumshed was another highlight. Ajali and Tejvan were absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the concept of the “rum arrangé,” which was such a fun discovery for us, and we had a lovely conversation with them throughout the evening. Their attention to detail and enthusiasm added so much to our dining experience. The in-room breakfast was simply incredible. Not only was the food delicious and beautifully presented, but the service was quick, smooth, and accompanied by regular check-ins to make sure everything was perfect. Enjoying breakfast with breathtaking sea views from our villa was one of the best parts of the stay. Food-wise, everything we tried was delightful, but a special shoutout to the sushi at Stars Restaurant. Fresh, flavourful and beautifully prepared—definitely some of the best we’ve had in Mauritius. Overall, it was a peaceful, rejuvenating weekend filled with great service, stunning views, and memorable moments. Shanti Maurice truly knows how to deliver a luxury experience, and we can’t wait to return. 🌊✨

My partner booked a 90 minute Vanilla massage. The massage therapist's name is Simik. This was the most incredible massage of my life. Truly, I've had a LOT of massages all around the world but this was just magical. Simik's hands are magical, truly. The whole experience was so divine from beginning to end. A big thank you for such a relaxing, healing experience. We also enjoyed a delicious vegan lunch. I loved the vegan tuna sushi (made from watermelon I think) and so delicious.

This hotel is a lovely location, on a beautiful beach and setting with pools, a spa and two restaurants (I think a third but it wasn't open). However, it's let down by a bad management process and I wouldn't recommend staying here as it is. Each staff member tries their best but it seems that they have been given set roles and are not allowed to go over and above them. For example, within all inclusive you can order a glass of wine, your server then asks someone to get the bottle from the bar. They walk over there and return with it and place it on a servers table nearby and then your server picks it up to serve it to you. We timed this and it took 7 minutes every time we asked for a drink. One lunchtime we waiting 45 minutes for our food before I asked where it was and our server wasn't aware we hadn't had it yet, we grew to expect long wait times for any food despite it not being busy at all. I highly recommend you AVOID this resort if you have an allergy. We had someone who is celiac (gluten allergy) and the labels on the menus differed between lunch and dinner as to whether some of the same dishes had gluten in or not. Servers brought up dishes and weren't sure if they were safe for her to eat or not. Training needs to be carried out around this to make sure guests feel comfortable and safe. We raised these issues with the hotel whilst there and they tried their best e.g the chef came out to speak about the gluten free options at the start of the meal but the servers were still unaware and we had to ask for the chef each meal (despite management saying everyone was aware). This hotel could be amazing but the process needs an overhaul. The staff seem happy to greet you and enjoy their jobs but are hamped by bad process and are told off if they stray from it (e.g serving a table when it's not theirs). The food was tasty as well and the main restrant menu had a lot of choices of different cuisine. In terms of facilities, the spa was lovely and the classes nice - I had a great massage and singing bowls class. We used the paddle courts as well. There's snorkeling you can do off the beach and things like paddlesboads and kanoes but be aware the bay is very shallow and tidal so you can't do these all the time. The pools were clean. The rooms were right on the beach and there was a bar area for the evening. We were there when there weren't many guests so there wasn't a lot of atmosphere (mid October). I spotted that Shanti Maurice seems to copy and paste the same template reply to all Google messages to it's a shame they won't take this on board.
