We have just spent a lovely 10 days at the resort. We had a fabulous time. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean & comfortable and beautifully presented. The resort was ideally located in a canopy of palm trees and other tropical plants. The swimming pools were stunning and the outlook to the beach was breathtaking. We highly recommend this beautiful resort.

We stayed 5 nights at The Passage. It is a beautiful resort area. The restaurant there serves great food. We ended up eating there every night enjoying the magnificent sunset views. The beach is nice and you can walk far for it to start getting deep. The shoreline is a little bit more pebbly at first but then it's nice soft sand. At first when we arrived, they regretfully informed us that due to a reservation system change, our original booking of a beachfront villa with pool was no longer available. They instead offered us the 2 bedroom beachfront with pool which weirdly is less expensive perhaps because it is not gated but instead open and next to the restaurant. They gave us a credit for the difference, free massages and a transfer to the airport. That is how you make a client happy and in the end we were happy with the 2 bedroom as we had a large open space with a fantastic view, and a his/her bedroom (great to put a snorer in one). The staff are super nice and friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay there.

All in all it is a good hotel for a nice vacation in a great location with many very friendly people, but should improve the rooms and some service standards. Not five star standard by Thai categories in my opinion, but a solid four. First the plus side: compared to other parts of the island the hotel is in a quiet location with a narrow, but beautiful Palm-lined beach right out front. Perfect to relax and with great sunsets. There are three clean and well maintained pools, but one of them (the largest one) is de facto not easy to enjoy. Other than many hotel pictures suggest it is lined only by private cabana beds that belong to the adjacent rooms. One bed was not even marked with a sign and a family with small children was actually chased off from there in a not-so-nice-tone by a staff member. So there is no room to rest or leave your stuff while swimming there, if you have a room somewhere else. Not a comfy welcome feeling. The restaurant breakfast is of good quality, but the selection is limited and repeats the same dishes way too often. The biggest problem is that popular items like fruit, cheese or juice were empty quite often and no refills happened without a long asking and waiting procedure. Dinner is good, but rather pricey for Thai hotel standards (30-50 % more than adjacent beach restaurants). The biggest drawback was our deluxe room. The daily service was never done before 4 p.m., some days as late as 6 p.m. That means no clean towels when you want to get ready for dinner. And the plumbing was a problem too. Canal smell in both adjacent rooms - one day here, one day there and so on. One faucet was barely running and one shower head burst, because the water came in such on-and-off-intervals until the plastic just broke. Maintenance did not look into it until our departure. Overall, go there for the beach, the sunsets and relaxing far from the loud Chaweng beach, but don't expect a very-high-quality-room, at least we didn't have one.

I booked the Beachfront Villa with a private pool for three nights, and overall it was a wonderful stay. The hotel has clearly seen its best days, as some elements feel a bit outdated or slightly out of fashion. When we arrived, most of the outdoor lamps weren’t working, so we had to contact the team to get them fixed. However, the staff responded very quickly and were extremely friendly, so this was absolutely not an issue. Breakfast was very good, offering a nice selection of both Western and Asian options. The location is decent but quite remote, if you want to go to restaurants or explore other areas, you’ll need to ride a motorbike for a bit. Since I personally enjoy peace and quiet, this wasn’t a problem for me at all. The staff were consistently kind and very helpful throughout our stay. The private pool was amazing, and having direct access to the beach through a door from the villa was a huge highlight. The beach directly in front of the hotel is fine, but there are definitely more beautiful beaches in other parts of the island. All in all, a great stay, especially if you’re looking for privacy, relaxation, and a quiet beachfront experience.
