Hotel is a little dated but staff are extremely welcoming. Pools and pool bar are great. Entertainment lounge excellent with service to your seat. Don't forget to tip a few euros. It go's a long way. Just because it's all inclusive doesn't mean the staff get extra wages. Pedro in the restaurant is a 1st class host. Some people have complained on google that there are a lot of older people staying here. Just remember, they dont race down at 7am to steal the best sunbeds and most are very nice. We had a lovely stay.

Edited** It seems some people don't like an honest review but this was our experience. We knew it was for the elder clientèle as we had read reviews and actually been to the pool here, my parents are in their late 70s and love the place. We had this hotel booked 12mths ago and for the price we paid we expected much more. We were brought up to respect our elders, however some of the elder clientèle think they are entitled and showed no respect. Received a nice welcome on arrival but the following day staff were rude and abrupt. Room at the side of lift and had the smallest balcony I've ever seen. Room very dated and the carpet was filthy, others complained of cockroaches. Upgraded to All Inclusive, only had breakfast and evening meal three times as was ill. Saw the chef handling raw meat (pork chops) the carving cooked Turkey, prawn crackers full of flies. Pool bar food was was nice but the older waiter was a right misery. Pool is fantastic, lounge bar was an eye opener. Some waiters were lovely. Unfortunately the reviews we had read beforehand are right.....its like an old people home, blokes sitting about in slippers and women crocheting jumpers. Defo not 4* and won't return, was glad to get home.

Safety Concerns – VIK Hotel San Antonio, Puerto del Carmen ⭐☆☆☆☆ During our stay at VIK Hotel San Antonio, a member of our family was the victim of a violent robbery within the hotel premises during the early hours of the morning. This was an extremely distressing incident and raised serious concerns for us regarding guest safety and security. We observed that multiple access points appeared to remain open during the night and did not feel reassured that sufficient measures were in place to prevent unauthorised access to the hotel. We reported the incident and our concerns to the relevant authorities and believe the hotel should review its security arrangements as a matter of priority. While we cannot comment on the experiences of other guests or the incident due to ongoing investigations from multiple agencies , this incident significantly affected our sense of safety and enjoyment during the holiday. We felt that greater visibility of security measures and a clearer response to guest concerns would have provided additional reassurance. We were also concerned about safety around the pool area, as we did not observe a lifeguard on duty during our stay. Families travelling with children may wish to make their own enquiries regarding pool supervision arrangements before booking. In our experience, responsibility for safety around the pool appeared to rest largely with parents and accompanying adults. In addition, we found the food to be repetitive and often not as warm as expected they do put a microwave out for this purpose . Service levels were inconsistent, and some concerns raised during our stay did not appear to be addressed to our satisfaction. Overall, the incident involving our family member had a significant impact on our holiday and our confidence in the hotel’s safety arrangements. Although others may have different experiences, we left with serious concerns regarding security and guest welfare. Based on our experience, we would not return and would encourage prospective guests to make their own enquiries regarding the hotel’s security and safety arrangements before booking. Once the investigation from local police & other agents have completed the investigation into this hotel & crime I can update my review! If you value your family & life stay away at all costs & get a safe hotel 🏨 with hot food that changes daily and not repeated some staff are very rude & might know more about the robbery situations , the hotel itself is very run down & and lick of paint would do miracles

This hotel is authentic to the island it’s an old hotel but well kept . Room was very clean and had everything that we required and cleaned every day . Food was adequate , I would suggest possibly booking bed and breakfast or half board as the food can be a bit repetitive but cooked well . There are plenty restaurants along the strip practically a 3 min walk . You will find more of the older generation here who have been coming for multiple years . We was only here for two nights all inclusive and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we are not party people so suited us well . The reception team are outstanding and very attentive. The restaurant team make every effort to bring a smile to your face and on tap for providing drinks with your meals .

This hotel is utter garbage! We are still currently here unfortunately but want to leave a review as tbh just had enough of the place already! Night staff first night we got here where nice and friendly, the day shift was two older ladies who where sour faced to say the least. Not accommodating at all and was boarding on rude when I explained that I hadn’t packed any trousers. The reason for me explaining that as this place and I stay all over the world but this place you have to wear trousers to dinner and when I explained I don’t have any they just shrugged their shoulders and the sour old bat just said you have to do this in most 4star hotels…..1 you don’t when it’s hot countries and 2 this isn’t a 4 star hotel. The lady things she is working at the ritz and it’s more like the pits!! The rule apparently changes June 1st every year, if it changes then it must change due to hot weather…. Well it’s hot so why not let people where shorts? I wear Taylored shorts with boat shoes and a shirt and that’s seen as not smart enough but two blokes walking past me in scruffed up joggers and trainers was fine and when I walked in to actually look at the food the staff members head fell off like I’d just walked in naked! Tbh the food looked so bad I wouldn’t have eaten there anyway and myself and my partner haven’t eaten a single thing bar a burger from the snack bar. Honestly the food looks bad and there wasn’t a lot of choice. The decor is outdated it’s like an old peoples home and old buttlins site that’s waiting to be shut down. WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms and then when you call reception they literally just go it’s on our website as blunt as that. The whole hotel is just old and the evening entertainment is literally old peoples home stuff it’s utter tripe. Don’t bother staying here honestly I came so close to just booking another hotel and moving! If we had been 2 weeks instead of one I’d of moved for sure. No WiFi, weird dress code rule, unhelpful staff, can’t take your pool bar drink to your sun bed if it’s glass gotta have it in some throw away cup, pool bar open restricted hours (not very long), pool only open 10-6. They call themselves a 4 star but that could mean anything with star ratings…..I mean they have a letter broken off on the front of the hotel and want to try and enforce weird snooty rules like you’re staying at some swanky joint. This place is rubbish
