We are not long back from a fabulous week at Zafiro Cala Mesquida - 4 adults & 2 toddlers. The hotel was lovely, it felt clean and classy and definitely more 5 star than 4. I can’t say enough how good the hotel is for families - so many pools and many of them perfect for us to enjoy and the kids. Also kids splash pool and play parks which were situated at the restaurants so the kids could play while we finished dinner. We had an upgraded pool view room which was huge for 4 of us! There are also apartments over the road with a fab pool and park which I would recommend for families too - we would consider this next time. Night time entertainment at the lovely pool bar (table service!) and so family friendly. The all inclusive package includes branded spirits and an extensive cocktail menu - the best I’ve had in terms of what’s included in the package. Food great qualities from a self confessed foodie! The only negative which didn’t effect us was that Cala Mesquida itself is mega quiet so you’re looking at Cala Ratjada for eating out but that’s only 10 mins away in car! A fabulous family holiday!!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel — it’s genuinely one of the best family‑friendly places we’ve visited. The kids’ entertainment was outstanding, with the team putting so much energy and creativity into every activity. Our little ones were busy, happy, and excited from lunch time activities to evening thanks to the brilliant kids entertainment team. We decided upon arrival to upgrade our room to a sea‑view, and the reception team acted immediately — they were attentive, friendly, and made the whole process effortless. The upgrade was absolutely worth it. The view was stunning, just like in the picture above. I highly recommend choosing a sea‑view room to make the most of your stay. The pools were a real highlight too: clean, spacious, and perfect for both adults and children. Our room was comfortable, modern, and well‑kept throughout our stay, and the service across the hotel was consistently excellent — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. One of the biggest perks is how incredibly close the hotel is to the beach. It took us just a few steps to go from poolside to the sand, which made the whole experience feel effortless and relaxing. Beachfront hotels really don’t get more convenient than this. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the mini disco in the evenings was a bit loud for very young children. Still, the atmosphere was fun, and it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the entertainment overall. We’d absolutely return — a fantastic choice for families looking for sun, fun, and great service right by the sea!

The hotel itself is lovely. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. There's plenty for kids to do during the day, and the night entertainment is good. The food is nice (but be prepared they tend to close earlier than planned which can be naughty) The hotel is very remote so there isn't much around. The beach is a short walk away and its beautiful. I would recommend this hotel but if you want more going on outside for walks maybe choose another one of of their sister hotels.

My wife, son and I stayed here for 7 nights in a junior suite. The room was nice, nothing special, but no complaints. Breakfast was included, has a wide selection of fruits and other items, essentially everything one could want. There are two buffet restaurants on site, both also serve dinner, the bigger one serves "international food" and the smaller asian-style. Don't go to the smaller buffet restaurant. Breakfast is the same as the bigger one and dinner is considerably less good, with food items being chewy, under- or overcooked, and sometimes even burnt. Both restaurants poorly wash their lettuce, so regularly expect crunchy bits of sand in the salad. Overall, the pools are nice, though official opening times relatively short from 10-18, but the beach is close as alternative, albeit often with waves too high for children. Entertainment is good, especially the children's show. There is a small car rental in Cala Mesquida, which is cheaper and easier to access than the rental service offered by the hotel. Don't bother going to the mini club with a child under four, the personnel will largely ignore them and act like they don't exist. Don't use the transfer service suggested by the hotel. The way to the hotel is fine (it was the first stop in our shared transfer), but on the way back the driver didn't stop at our hotel, despite our early checkout and waiting outside of the hotel area, so we had to additionally purchase a taxi trip, as it was our only option according to the hotel reception. Also according to the hotel reception, the transfer buses have GPS and the driver will "just claim they stopped, because nothing else van be said from the GPS" making a refund very unlikely. However, the hotel reception was helpful with providing needed information for the reclaim with the transfer company, and for booking the taxi.

Lovely hotel and right on the beach which was stunning! The room could have done with a little TLC, as the door frames were coming apart and had nails sticking out. The kids club staff were the best! Our little two had the best time with them. The food was fresh and nicely presented, just a shame about the amount of people that were in the one buffet restaurant. It got very stressful trying to find your way to the food. The wait staff worked extremely hard; always ready to clear any empty dishes, and greet you with a smile. As were the bar staff. We hoped to have our room for a late check out, as we weren’t being collected until 5pm, but we were told the hotel was full. I find this very hard to believe, as it was the start of the season, and not all of the rooms were occupied. If anyone is thinking of visiting the area, I would avoid the end of March…the winds spoiled it a little for us. It was lovely once it warmed up towards the end of the week, when we had to fly home! I would definitely stay at Zafiro hotels again.
