Depending on the weather, meals can also be served in the outdoor area of the restaurant.

The receptionists were very good; friendly, welcoming and helpful, although it would have been nice if they’d spoken Spanish back to me when I made the effort to speak Spanish to them- and the same with the staff in the restaurant- a few did speak Spanish back. The food at the buffet was excellent although not always labelled and our son especially loved the desserts. There was a great choice of pools including an adults pool and a bubble pool for children which my son loved and we loved our private jacuzzi too - the penthouse suite was amazing. We were there for my partner’s 50th birthday and we were given complimentary sparkling wine on the day by the hotel staff. All in all a fantastic stay at Zafiro Tropic.

Fantastic hotel for children. Entertained all the time. Staff all friendly going that extra mile. Food good plenty of choice and variety. Would recommend for a family holiday. Rooms a bit tired but very clean . Sandra very caring and helpful, lovely smile when greeting everyone. Overall a lovely family break.

A great hotel to go with young kids. It's only 5 minutes walk to a sandy beach and the sea is shallow enough to walk out reasonably far. There's a choice of pools including a kids pool with various size slides suitable for all ages, and an over 18s only pool that is separated by a fence and hedge to make it a lovely quiet calm oasis, despite being right beside the kids area. And an indoor pool too, which we had all to ourselves when we went in during a particularly hot day. There's a play park by the kids pool with trampoline, seesaw and young kid friendly climbing frame. Also a swing park just outside the hotel grounds. The buffet restaurant is great. The food was always good while we were there with a decent selection. And the staff there are incredibly friendly especially to the younger kids who they went over and above to make feel welcome. The staff all stopped to say hello to and interact with the kids every day. It was lovely. There is a little shop in the hotel with a good range of things you might need including snacks, drinks, beach toys, sunscreen and souvenirs. And there is also a lot of shops and restaurants only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Everything around the hotel opens at 10 and closes at 6, which is perfect when you're there with a young family because it's quiet at night. The hotel evening entertainment was really good. There was a consistent format for the kids so they knew what to expect. The Zafiro mascot Yssy the Koala would come out and dance with his pirate friends. Our kids absolutely loved it and looked forward to it each day. Followed by a quiz for the kids. The entertainment after that varied each night including a band, flamenco dancers, a magician, fire eaters and acrobats. Each night staff would set out little seats for the kids right in front of the stage so they had the best view of the show. Zafiro Tropic is a truly family friendly place to stay. Children are considered in everything they do. I would highly recommend this hotel and I would happily go back again.

Close to beach and shops, came with my partner and grandchildren aged 6 and 8, plenty to do, we stayed for a week and went off the resort twice, the pools are open until 5.30-6 pm. Food is lovely, we went half board, we did eat out once but cost us 100 euros, so decided to take advantage of food at the hotel. Rooms cleaned every day, except a Wednesday and Sunday. Overall a great holiday.

We had a lovely family holiday and can't fault Zafiro Tropic overall. We wished we had the opportunity to stay in the 2-bedroom suites (need to build more of these) rather than squashing into a 1-bedroom. The service was great and we only put 4 stars instead of 5 because during the 2 of the evening entertainments on offer, our drinks took > 30 minutes to arrive (only ordered 3 drinks so hardly a big order) and on one night our drinks didn't arrive at the end of one of the shows that lasted 45 minutes and we had to cancel our order. The rest of the service during meal times were spot on. The staff worked extremely hard, they were friendly, professional, and seem to enjoy being in the hospitality sector. We will be going back again!
