Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi is a five-star retreat set amid the serene dunes about 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Designed as an elegant desert escape, the resort combines traditional Arabian style with modern comforts across 99 rooms and villas, many featuring private pools. Guests can unwind at the expansive Saray Spa with hammams, steam rooms, plunge pools and a snow cave, or relax by the infinity pool while enjoying sweeping desert views. Five on-site restaurants offer a mix of Mediterranean, Levantine and international cuisines, complemented by rooftop bars and poolside dining. We had a wonderful family staycation at Al Wathba Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The resort's isolated location is one of its biggest advantages, as it allows you to disconnect completely from busy city life. The approach to the resort is also beautiful and unique, with approximately 1 km of greenery and trees along the access road, followed by stunning desert and mountain views. The property itself is beautifully designed, with all the main amenities within comfortable walking distance. There is also a buggy service available for those who prefer not to walk. Our children particularly enjoyed visiting and viewing the equestrian stables, which added a unique and memorable experience to our stay. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous, and they made our stay very comfortable. A special mention to the front desk team, who generously upgraded our room and also accommodated our request for a late checkout. The food was delicious, and the swimming pool is beautifully and luxuriously designed. At 60 metres long, it is a fantastic feature of the resort. We would like to thank all the staff members for their warm hospitality and for making our family holiday so special. Overall, it was an excellent family getaway, and we would definitely recommend Al Wathba Resort. 10/10!

My partner and I needed some time away from the city hustle and I also wanted to surprise him with birthday celebrations. I emailed the guest relations department who were more than will to help make the stay very memorable for the both of us especially my partner. Our room had a beautiful view of the desert and room had some birthday treats. We both appreciated the attention we received and how helpful staff were. Very friendly staff who are willing to help at a minute's notice. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

A truly beautiful hotel set in the most stunning surroundings. We had the most wonderful weekend staycation at Al Wathba. The service was brilliant, and the food was outstanding. We spent our day relaxing by the pool and particularly enjoyed the swim-up bar. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to take care of you. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the breakfast spread in the morning was an absolute feast. A perfect escape, and we can’t wait to return.

Another unforgettable stay and this time there were tears at check-out We’ve been lucky enough to stay at Al Wathba before, but this visit was truly something special. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend my birthday than at this gorgeous place, surrounded by the team who make it feel like heaven on earth. We hadn’t travelled all summer, so after a long, hot season at home with the children, this was without doubt the highlight of our 2026 summer. Himanshu in reservations went above and beyond to coordinate and organise our group booking. Kings and Bea at reception made sure we had beautiful rooms all together. I’d left something behind on my last trip, and Ahmad and Prakash personally ensured it was returned to me :) It was also lovely to see the fabulous JJ and Thin Thin, and Chef Lorena, at Terra Secca who continuously go above and beyond. And a special mention to Shubham at the pool bar, the most wonderful service, a beautiful smile, and nothing was ever too much, despite working outside in the heat all day. The whole team should be so proud, and management even prouder of them. This stay touched my heart more than words can say. Thank you for the best birthday, for all the special touches, and for going above and beyond for us… it was so deeply appreciated

Had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean, the food was great, and the whole place feels very peaceful and relaxing. The desert views are beautiful. What really stood out was the service. I’ve been living in Abu Dhabi for 6 years, so I’ve experienced all kinds of service, and the team here was genuinely exceptional — warm, attentive, and always happy to help. They made the stay feel special. Would definitely love to come back.
