Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi is a five-star retreat set amid the serene dunes about 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Designed as an elegant desert escape, the resort combines traditional Arabian style with modern comforts across 99 rooms and villas, many featuring private pools. Guests can unwind at the expansive Saray Spa with hammams, steam rooms, plunge pools and a snow cave, or relax by the infinity pool while enjoying sweeping desert views. Five on-site restaurants offer a mix of Mediterranean, Levantine and international cuisines, complemented by rooftop bars and poolside dining. Half Board/Full Board cannot be booked for individual days only.

I’ve been meaning to share our review for quite some time! We stayed back in December and had a lovely time. It was our fourth visit to the property and every time we have visited we have had an amazing time! Kinga from reception was very helpful and professional and acknowledged our pre-arrival requests given that we were traveling with the grandparents of which one had mobility challenges. The level of service we received from the entire team was exceptional! We highly recommend this property for a relaxing vacation - also don’t miss out on one of the restaurants where you can have dinner beside the Arabian horses and feed them after! We will be returning again!

Love everything about this hotel. Beautifully design building, you can just walk around the entire resort and get a different angle of the structure. The swimming pool is large and they have a wave pool as well. There's also archery board for resort activity. I believe there are more if you request it to the concierge. The Saray Spa was heavenly too. Everything was perfect. During breakfast, the staff was super sweet and gave me a complimentary cake with "thank you for staying with us" written on it. It was so cute.

We are currently staying here to catch the Lyrid meteor shower and absolutely love it so far. The room is beautiful, the bed and pillows are soft and the overall atmosphere is calm and serene. The staff have been warm and welcoming throughout. The buggy service is quick and efficient, and we had a lovely dinner at Al Mesayan restaurant this evening. Everything has felt easy and well taken care of. Even being by and in the pool felt effortless with staff willing to go the extra mile. Given the current regional situation, it feels quieter than usual, but as a UAE resident and Bonvoy member, I’m genuinely happy to support special properties like this so the team continues to thrive. It’s places like these and the people behind them that make the experience memorable. A small personal highlight; I was delighted to see Byredo amenities in the room which I personally have always loved. The only downside for me has been the mosquitoes so I would recommend bringing patches or repellent just in case. It just comes with the territory and no doubt the resort does try to do pest-control but mozzies are just a part of life that I rather do without. Highly recommended for anyone in Abu Dhabi or visiting the UAE. Definitely worth experiencing!

I’ve just spent two weeks at this beautiful hotel with 15 other ladies and from the moment I arrived until the moment I left, everything was absolutely perfect. The food is incredible, the grounds are gorgeous, and the pool area is such a lovely place to relax. The rooms are super spacious and very comfortable, I slept so well throughout my stay. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special mention to Samakshya, who was especially lovely and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She, along with the rest of the team, made me feel really well looked after. The hotel is slightly out of the way, so having a car is definitely useful, but it’s 100% worth the trip. I would absolutely come back and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Well I can't describe enough the beauty of this place. The service was extraordinary and the staff from the restaurant manager who went far and beyond to make every possible comfort to all the family, through receptionist to all staff thanks for such quality and friendly attitude. The sun set on the hourse back and the food was exhalirating and above all the amenities were just perfect and variable to all tastes . All moments were specials. Highly recommended to all seeking luxury, fun and a different experience. Diffinetly we are going back.
