Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi is a five-star retreat set amid the serene dunes about 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Designed as an elegant desert escape, the resort combines traditional Arabian style with modern comforts across 99 rooms and villas, many featuring private pools. Guests can unwind at the expansive Saray Spa with hammams, steam rooms, plunge pools and a snow cave, or relax by the infinity pool while enjoying sweeping desert views. Five on-site restaurants offer a mix of Mediterranean, Levantine and international cuisines, complemented by rooftop bars and poolside dining. Half Board/Full Board cannot be booked for individual days only.

A truly beautiful hotel set in the most stunning surroundings. We had the most wonderful weekend staycation at Al Wathba. The service was brilliant, and the food was outstanding. We spent our day relaxing by the pool and particularly enjoyed the swim-up bar. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to take care of you. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the breakfast spread in the morning was an absolute feast. A perfect escape, and we can’t wait to return.

We are currently staying here to catch the Lyrid meteor shower and absolutely love it so far. The room is beautiful, the bed and pillows are soft and the overall atmosphere is calm and serene. The staff have been warm and welcoming throughout. The buggy service is quick and efficient, and we had a lovely dinner at Al Mesayan restaurant this evening. Everything has felt easy and well taken care of. Even being by and in the pool felt effortless with staff willing to go the extra mile. Given the current regional situation, it feels quieter than usual, but as a UAE resident and Bonvoy member, I’m genuinely happy to support special properties like this so the team continues to thrive. It’s places like these and the people behind them that make the experience memorable. A small personal highlight; I was delighted to see Byredo amenities in the room which I personally have always loved. The only downside for me has been the mosquitoes so I would recommend bringing patches or repellent just in case. It just comes with the territory and no doubt the resort does try to do pest-control but mozzies are just a part of life that I rather do without. Highly recommended for anyone in Abu Dhabi or visiting the UAE. Definitely worth experiencing!

We went for Eid Staycation at this wonderful resort. It is located at an exotic location in the middle of the dessert with great ambience, the property is well maintained. Our room was upgraded upon arrival. Check-in was smooth. We chose half board package and had an amazing Italian dinner buffet at Terra Secca restaurant. Spa access is complimentary with salt room, cold pool plunge,hot pool plung, jacuzzi etc., other services like massage, facial is chargeable. It was very relaxing and spa staff explained everything and gave a spa tour prior to it. Breakfast was at Bait Al Hanine and it was a good spread. Highly recommended for couples and family. Apart from a miscommunication everything else was great!

A great desert hotel with wonderful service!! I’m only giving it 4 stars because we had a small issue with wasps and hornets around the outdoor area of our room (and in other parts of the hotel too), which unfortunately kept us from enjoying the place to the fullest, because the property itself is really great. Like I said, the service here is amazing, definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome! The pool staff, the team at Terra Secca restaurant, the reception staff, even the guy who came to spray the outdoor area of our room, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed during the week and the hotel was very empty, which felt a little strange. But for obvious reasons, the political instability in the region and the beginning of summer have kept visitors away. On one hand, it was nice because everything felt peaceful and quiet, but on the other hand, it was odd being almost alone in such a large hotel. We barely saw other guests… Still, the hotel is really good, with excellent facilities, outstanding service and a restaurant serving delicious food. So we truly wish them all the best! Maybe one day we’ll come back, that would be lovely :)

Our stay was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The service was truly 10/10, with every member of the team going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We loved the facilities, which were beautifully maintained and offered everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The management deserves special recognition for their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience. A wonderful hotel in every aspect. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
