Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi is a five-star retreat set amid the serene dunes about 40 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport. Designed as an elegant desert escape, the resort combines traditional Arabian style with modern comforts across 99 rooms and villas, many featuring private pools. Guests can unwind at the expansive Saray Spa with hammams, steam rooms, plunge pools and a snow cave, or relax by the infinity pool while enjoying sweeping desert views. Five on-site restaurants offer a mix of Mediterranean, Levantine and international cuisines, complemented by rooftop bars and poolside dining. Half Board/Full Board cannot be booked for individual days only.

We had a wonderful family staycation at Al Wathba Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The resort's isolated location is one of its biggest advantages, as it allows you to disconnect completely from busy city life. The approach to the resort is also beautiful and unique, with approximately 1 km of greenery and trees along the access road, followed by stunning desert and mountain views. The property itself is beautifully designed, with all the main amenities within comfortable walking distance. There is also a buggy service available for those who prefer not to walk. Our children particularly enjoyed visiting and viewing the equestrian stables, which added a unique and memorable experience to our stay. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous, and they made our stay very comfortable. A special mention to the front desk team, who generously upgraded our room and also accommodated our request for a late checkout. The food was delicious, and the swimming pool is beautifully and luxuriously designed. At 60 metres long, it is a fantastic feature of the resort. We would like to thank all the staff members for their warm hospitality and for making our family holiday so special. Overall, it was an excellent family getaway, and we would definitely recommend Al Wathba Resort. 10/10!

A truly beautiful hotel set in the most stunning surroundings. We had the most wonderful weekend staycation at Al Wathba. The service was brilliant, and the food was outstanding. We spent our day relaxing by the pool and particularly enjoyed the swim-up bar. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to take care of you. Our room was beautifully appointed, and the breakfast spread in the morning was an absolute feast. A perfect escape, and we can’t wait to return.

We went for Eid Staycation at this wonderful resort. It is located at an exotic location in the middle of the dessert with great ambience, the property is well maintained. Our room was upgraded upon arrival. Check-in was smooth. We chose half board package and had an amazing Italian dinner buffet at Terra Secca restaurant. Spa access is complimentary with salt room, cold pool plunge,hot pool plung, jacuzzi etc., other services like massage, facial is chargeable. It was very relaxing and spa staff explained everything and gave a spa tour prior to it. Breakfast was at Bait Al Hanine and it was a good spread. Highly recommended for couples and family. Apart from a miscommunication everything else was great!

A great desert hotel with wonderful service!! I’m only giving it 4 stars because we had a small issue with wasps and hornets around the outdoor area of our room (and in other parts of the hotel too), which unfortunately kept us from enjoying the place to the fullest, because the property itself is really great. Like I said, the service here is amazing, definitely one of the hotel’s strongest points. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome! The pool staff, the team at Terra Secca restaurant, the reception staff, even the guy who came to spray the outdoor area of our room, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed during the week and the hotel was very empty, which felt a little strange. But for obvious reasons, the political instability in the region and the beginning of summer have kept visitors away. On one hand, it was nice because everything felt peaceful and quiet, but on the other hand, it was odd being almost alone in such a large hotel. We barely saw other guests… Still, the hotel is really good, with excellent facilities, outstanding service and a restaurant serving delicious food. So we truly wish them all the best! Maybe one day we’ll come back, that would be lovely :)

Had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean, the food was great, and the whole place feels very peaceful and relaxing. The desert views are beautiful. What really stood out was the service. I’ve been living in Abu Dhabi for 6 years, so I’ve experienced all kinds of service, and the team here was genuinely exceptional — warm, attentive, and always happy to help. They made the stay feel special. Would definitely love to come back.
