The view is truly exceptional and definitely the highlight of the stay. The front desk team was also very warm and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed because it was not worth the price. The room was very small, the massage in the Spa felt quite basic, and the breakfast was also rather simple for this price point. I have stayed many times at Alila Seminyak (the same chain in a different city) and the experience was much better.

We had a truly wonderful experience here. Their hospitality is exceptional and genuinely stands out. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, and some of the kindest people I have ever come across. A special mention to our host, who ensured every detail was taken care of so that our stay was seamless and completely hassle free. The food was exceptional, and the service remained consistently impressive throughout our visit. If you are seeking a peaceful escape far from city chaos, this place is ideal. It is perfect for anyone who enjoys being close to natural beauty, with tranquil surroundings that instantly put you at ease. The location is especially suited for couples looking to relax and unwind. Highly recommend for a truly memorable and refreshing stay.

Alila Ubud’s horizon-edge pool is every bit as photogenic as the travel mags promise—suspended over a steep ravine of palm and banyan, it feels like you’re swimming straight into a living postcard. I’ve clocked plenty of hotel pools across Asia, but this one’s vantage point is genuinely hard to beat, especially at dawn. This place is far away from the main tourist drag, so everything you need is on-site. Service was very friendly with genuine smiles, and names remembered, and they're helpful to chat about what we might enjoy in the region. They booked a nearby ATV tour for us (which wasn't great tbh, but that's not on them), sorted the driver, and the guide and even ordered takeaway coffees for us - I thought that was a great effort, that most staff dont do anywhere. Dining is split between two outlets, both of which punch above their weight. The themed buffet night drew us in with a cracking pork-belly station, but it was the Asian-style menu in general —and if you go, definitely order the beef rendang short-rib and green-mango salad—so much flavour! Wine list is just ok really, but that's Bali restaurants in general. The resort’s gardens and hillside and manicured terraces make the whole place feel lush and relaxing. Or actual villa was a really spacious natural wood and stone-floored luxury, with a private plunge pool. Even though the place probably needs a bit of maintenance (why Im only giving 4 stars) it is eactly the sort of understated yet higher end accommodation you would expect from a five star resort.

We had a 4 night stay at Alila to start our holiday & WOW, what a start to the holiday! The hotel & setting is absolutely stunning & was beyond our expectations. Such a peaceful setting in the middle of the jungle, we loved hearing all the different insects & being surrounded by raw, untouched nature! The monkeys made it for us, I absolutely love monkeys. Yes, they can be mischievous but if you understand that they are wild monkeys & not trained and keep a distance then you will be fine. The staff were always about to keep them in line. We spent many a times just sat watching them go about their days in the trees & around the grounds. The hotel itself is beautiful & very well maintained! The room was fantastic & well kept, the balcony overlooking the forest was especially lovely for a morning cup of tea. The breakfast & food was lovely & there is a good choice for everybody, even my very picky partner! One thing that makes this place extra special is definitely the staff - they are a true example of amazing hospitality! Nothing is too much trouble, they are always smiling, happy & approachable, they literally cannot do enough for you! They were happy to talk to & teach us about local cultures & teach us a few ‘ways of Bali’ as we wanted to be as respectful as possible in their country. I could write so much more but these are just the key points that were amazing! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back & recommending to people!

We absolutely loved our stay at Alila! The staff were amazing—always friendly, attentive, and eager to help. We originally planned to stay for 3 nights, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay for another 4 nights. Alila truly became the highlight of our trip! The monkeys playing around the pool and at our villa made the experience even more special. A huge thank you to the management and team for their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.
