Hotel room and facilities were very high quality. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Expect additional charges; we ordered a sparkling water (as we had food poisoning and couldn’t leave our rooms for our pre-purchased breakfast). We were charged 700 baht (approx $32 AUD) for sparkling water. The hotel staff also ordered us a taxi which they charged additional fees for, on top of the taxi fare. It is best to use the Grab app (uber) for transport instead of asking hotel staff. The hotel is not in an ideal location for visiting other places but it is great if you are wanting to stay in a quiet resort and enjoy the view. Be prepared for unreasonable price mark ups.

We had a really lovely day here and stayed in an ocean view villa which was beautiful and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and truly could not do enough to help us. The buggy service around the resort always came super quickly and room service was also very fast, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. The main pool is very large and quiet, a perfect spot to unwind. The food and drinks were nice overall. I do think breakfast could be improved slightly as some options did not feel as fresh as they could be, but with a few small changes it could be great. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and really appreciated the warm service and calm atmosphere.

My experience at Amatara Welleisure Resort was wonderful. From the moment I arrived I was carefully attended to, having my luggage delivered to the room and being provided with a drink, cold towel, and fruit. As I went during the low season my suite was upgraded to a bigger one. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the view from the balcony of Cape Panwa was great. Breakfast was lovely - there was both a buffet and an à la carte menu and you could have both. Lunch and dinner had nice options. The food was well cooked and served quickly. Prices were high compared to the rest of Phuket - my 3 course meal with drinks cost about £30. My room service (1 dish and drink) was about £11 The wellness aspect of the stay was the highlight for me. One of the staff at breakfast offered to book me in for physio when I mentioned I had a bad ankle and I received a free consultation. I booked an oil massage the next day and the masseuse offered to give special attention to my bad ankle without me asking. The pressure was perfect and the oil was amazing. I had a short time at the private beach - they offer water sports you can arrange with the hotel. The beach was clean and instagrammable. There are few loungers however and it’s not great for swimming in. Cape panwa is quite far from many of the main sights so this stay is more for resort dwellers - a taxi to Phuket old town was £7 and took 30 mins. Best to spend a whole day there.

Our stay at Amatara Wellness Resort was genuinely unforgettable. Set in the quiet Cape Panwa area, the resort feels wonderfully secluded, far from the busier Patong scene, yet close enough if you're willing to hop in a cab for a night out. That calm, slower pace was exactly what we needed. Each morning started with an amazing breakfast, a generous buffet alongside an à la carte menu where we could order anything we liked. The live egg station was a lovely touch and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. We tried almost everything on the menu, and each dish was was delicious. The infinity pool has these sweeping views that make you want to linger for hours. And the small private beach, with beach activities open until high tide, felt like a hidden gem, complete with swings that add a playful, almost whimsical vibe. The suite itself was spacious, beautifully maintained, and stocked with all the little comforts, including daily minibar refills with soft drinks, snacks, and even coconut water, small details that make a big difference. The resort also offers daily activities to indulge in their fitness center 'Synergy'. There are wide range of activities ranging from Yoga, exercises, posture related, back relief, kick boxing etc. What stood out most, though, was the people. Every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth and went out of their way to help, always with a smile that felt sincere. If you're looking for a place that blends comfort, tranquility, and heartfelt hospitality, Amatara is it. We left feeling recharged and already talking about coming back.

I’m writing this review as I am having an extremely romantic dinner at Amatara Wellleisure Resort in Phuket. Shout out to Nui and Mr. Top for helping me organise the whole stay. I am here for a marriage proposal, and I am very glad I picked the right hotel. From the private pool in my Pool Suite, the view from the room, to the hotel’s own little private beach, it is a very relaxing but also surreal experience for my fiancée and myself. Nui and Mr. Top assisted in delivering this romantic dinner setup, WITHOUT ME EVEN INSTRUCTING THEM TO DO SO. For me, it is the definition of top class service - knowing what the customers want. My waiter is Nut, who is excellent. All in all, 10/10 would recommend this resort. Every staff is very friendly and very efficient.
