​A Place to Arrive and Breathe ​If you work a lot in your daily life, are stressed, and are simply looking for a place where you are welcome, seen, and don't have to solve any problems yourself, then you have come to the right place. The amazing team organizes absolutely everything for you and quietly clears away every challenge. ​Even the very first contact was incredibly warm. The hotel’s own driver service was excellent and made arriving right after the landing so much better. The gentleman who opened the car door for us welcomed us most politely, and the beautiful, airy lobby instantly invites you to relax. We were particularly delighted with the personal service from Ecka, whose attentive and welcoming nature made us feel that wonderful holiday spirit from the very first hour. ​The all-suite hotel is fantastic, as there are only a few rooms and therefore very little hustle and bustle. If you need some action, you simply go to the neighboring beach and then return to your oasis afterward. However, the hotel is probably not the right fit for small children, as it would likely be too boring for them. ​What is particularly important to us: In our own businesses, we all appreciate nice clients – so you should simply be a nice guest here too, and explain that to your children as well. Good service and fun are not a one-way street, but a mutual encounter. When you treat each other with respect, everyone has a great time together, and it creates a truly extraordinary holiday.

This was supposed to be our honeymoon stay, and while the hotel made a great first impression, the overall experience was disappointing for the very high price we paid. The room was spacious and looked nice at first, and the staff were welcoming. However, check-in was delayed even after their strict 3 PM policy. The room itself felt old and badly needed renovation — drawers, doors, and wardrobes barely worked properly, and even the room phone was so outdated that it was difficult to hear the staff. To make things worse, there was ongoing construction right next to the hotel, very close to our room. The noise was extremely disturbing and made it difficult to properly relax and enjoy the stay. On some mornings, we were even forced to wake up very early because of how loud it was. Service throughout the stay was inconsistent. Room service and housekeeping were often late or forgot items, towels were sometimes missing after cleaning, and breakfast service lacked attention unless we repeatedly asked for things. One of the most disappointing moments was when I ordered food delivery through Grab and reception told me I had to personally go downstairs and outside to collect it because no one was available to bring it up to the room — something I did not expect from a luxury hotel. Food and beverage prices were also extremely expensive, especially with the additional 22% service charge, which did not reflect the quality of service provided. I’ve traveled around the world and received much better service while paying far less. Definitely not my last time in Bali, but certainly my last time staying at Anantara.

Expected disappointment: Resort location and room design would’ve had potential but reality was unfortunately far from a five-star standard: Room was infested with ants/termites, bed, all surfaces, and even the TV were covered with droppings; after changing to a another room in the middle of the night, situation remained the same. We were left waiting for 2 hours in the room without staff checking back on us or providing a solution after they inspected the infested room, until I went to the reception and complained. After my complaints, the staff had to talk to his manager and both of them did not seem to as much as try to offer us a drink for the endless waiting; instead, they politely asked us to keep waiting in that room. I did not accept the solution, which was “to be patient and stand by for their decision“ as our dinner plan was ruined and so was the night. The staff was in a bit shock when I mentioned we missed our dinner because we had to wait in the room. Reluctantly, they offered us a free dinner, but only at the restaurant upstairs that was to close; most importantly, the manager emphasized multiple times: “Please be aware, the drinks are not included“. That’s when we were clear: this place is not ready to cater five-star hotels‘ clientele, not by its infrastructure standard nor in its mindset. Power was out in the restaurant during our dinner; we were left waiting in pitch dark because they couldn’t print out the bill… they didn’t allow us to leave. Half of the menu was not available; coconut was “sold out“ at the pool bar at around 2pm. The good: Staff was all polite. Everyone, including the security at the gate always greeted everyone with a smile. Beautiful view from the room, especially for surfers.

From check in to check out, our stay was outstanding. The team truly has hospitality figured out. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The views are beautiful, the pool was spotless, and the entire resort was well maintained. Everything exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Bali, I highly recommend this resort. We would gladly come back again.

My wife and I stayed at the Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort for 2 nights during our honeymoon, and it was absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the incredible attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. They welcomed us with a lovely reception that included delicious sweets, and when we walked into our room, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated bed with flower petals. It was such a thoughtful, romantic touch! The location of the resort is spectacular, offering breathtaking ocean views that you have to see to believe. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the cliffside pools were the perfect place to relax, unwind, have a drink, and enjoy some amazing food. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in Bali with top-notch service, stunning views and great sunsets, this is the place to be. We cannot recommend it enough!
